THE PURCHASE WAS FAIRLY STRAIGHT FORWARD AND SHANI WAS AN EXCELLENT SALES PERSON. IT TOOK APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR TO COMPLETE THE PAPERWORK, ETC. WE HAD ORDERED ANOTHER CAR TO TEST FOR COMPARISON BUT THE MURRIETA DEALERSHIP HAD LOST THE TITLE PAPERWORK SO WE WERE NOT ABLE TO COMPARE VEHICLES. THAT IS MY ONLY CRITICISM. THE TEXTING PRE ARRANGED APPOINTMENTS, ETC WERE VERY HELPFUL.

Although I appreciate Shawni and her supervisor helping me purchase a car, I took it to my mechanic and there were several things wrong with it. The tire light came on after I left rhe dealership. This has happened a couple of times before with other dealerships, so it doesn’t help my relationship with carmax. I don’t have a lot of respect for the company. It cost me $170 out of pocket to get the car checked by my trusted mechanic and the time, $ and effort to go back to carmax to get it fixed then have my mechanic look at it again is costly, disappointing and frustrating to me.Finally, how would Carmax executives, supervisors or employees like it if my tire was not working properly and I got into an accident with one of them? How would the executives, supervisors or employees and their families like it if they were seriously injured or killed? I know I don’t like the thought of that, so you decide Carmax, what is the cost-benefit ratio to you? Carmax’s image, reliability, revenues or your livelihoods? Pick one. You can’t have it all when I get a defective product and it’s a risk to public safety.

If I didn't talk so much like an old man, I would have been finished with business in under 2 hours. Which was great! Thanks, CARMAX Riverside.
