Write a reviewBeware the posted price can be false advertisement!! We drove 3 hours from Tampa Bay during rush hour to get there before they closed. Cody our salesman was a nice guy and professional not pushy. But they failed to honor the price that was posted online. Listed price for the vehicle was $23.5k that somehow became $28k after a test drive. Dealer insisted on including a paint and chip protection that was an additional $1,269 and lost the deal over it. Very Poor Management to lose a sale over an optional protection.

We are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! We sincerely value your business and look forward to your next visit. The Sales Team at AutoMax Ocala
Once they have your money you are dead to them. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. Bought essentially a brand new car (1000 miles, $35K) nothing but problems, all they would tell me is it’s a preowned vehicle, it was on me to have it checked out. They’re horrible. There are thousands of used cars in Ocala. Definitely find another one!

Thank you for this feedback, Annie. We're very sorry to see that you didn't have the best experience at our dealership. Would you mind sending us a message with your contact information so we can learn more and address your concerns? While we're disappointed to learn that we didn't meet your expectations, we'd love to try to turn things around and make sure the same thing doesn't continue to happen. The Team at AutoMax Ocala
My husband and I purchased a 2023 Kia Sportage. This is our second vehicle purchased from AutoMax Ocala. Both times we had great experiences and will continue to come back for future purchases. This time we purchased our vehicle through Noah. Communication with Noah was great through the whole process. It took us a few days to seal the deal and Noah was patient with us and did not put any pressure on us and was just there if he needed him. It was one of the smoothest dealership experiences we have ever experienced. And we love our new SUV of course! Thanks AutoMax and thanks Noah!

I brought my mom to a Jenkins dealer and it was such a mistake! They tacked on so much (10k) and were basically jerks. We left with such a bad taste in our mouth. Came to Automax and had such a great experience! Haley didn't try to upsale us, she even told my mom when she thought the more expensive vehicle wasn't something she needed. Helped us to get even more off of the already lower price. Everyone we dealt with were amazing. We drove over an hour and it was worth it. 10/10

We bought our new Santa Fe from AutoMax in Ocala. TJ was our salesperson. He got us the price that we wanted to pay. We had an issue with one of our remotes, but TJ went above and beyond to make it right. We would definitely buy another car from AutoMax. Thanks TJ for making this an easy buying experience!

11/21/22 i brought in my 2019 toyota corolla with 135,000 miles on it that i owned completely.I decided to get a 2014 dodge grand caravan after looking at a couple options at this dealership and a bunch of options elsewhere. I had a salesman, frank.I needed a reliable van bc me and my girls have multiple appointments each week and we basically live in our vehicle. I looked at the van and all and all it seemed clean . I told him i insist on a extended warranty. He and i went to financing. She showed me this laminate that showed me all included in the warranty and i felt at ease . I signed the paperwork and yes it is "as is" but i was assured if anything happened in the first 30 days it would be covered and the extended warranty would cover anything except normal wear and tear. Also a bonus id even get a rental and roadside assistance! So they gave me 4000 for my trade in. I get it home and the next day the check engine light comes on. Im told talk to my salesman frank. Frank made the appointment at pearson. They claim it was a brake light switch (according ) to paperwork i have in front of me. It was repaired and i got it back. In the few days after i called my salesman asking for a copy of the laminate they showed me so i had it for my records. Frank said he didnt have access to it. He sent me to finance which didnt answer i left a voicemail. The only thing papers said is it is advanced with electronics and 100 deductible 3 year 30,000 miles. Anyways never got a response about that. I, however, was called days after i tried to get a copy about bringing in my title to my toyota in. I couldnt get there right away and it was another couple days when financing called to check in on the title and told me they had good news we got u lower payments. I came in to find out that they stated the bank would not finance the warranty that insisted on in the beginning . This was 1-2 weeks after i brought the van home. I told them i didnt feel comfortable but they insisted i had the 30 days gurantee and the vehicle was a great find. I asked about getting my toyota back but they told me i couldnt return vehicle (yet they can ask for van back and back out ?!). I am now out money , time, and my original car so i had no choice but to sign . I noted there was no date place to date my signature and was told dont worry about it . Of course not apparently the one paper they had me resign was already dated the same date i signed original paperwork even though it was like 2 weeks later! In february my brake line completely went out on me while driving my kids . A mechanic looked and said it was so weird bc it had looked like someone basically yanked it out . It was not worn out it was ripped or yanked and it came off . So i had it replaced . At the end of april (5 months after bringing the van home)i had a oil change which the mechanic noted how low the oil was but we saw no leak. Immediately after that the check engine light and oil pressure light came on. I spent 600 $ to finally find out the oil pump is failing that virtually no oil has gone into the new filter and that there is a knocking in my engine. Its going to cost 2000 to replace the pump but 4 mechanics have told me most likely there is engine damage. I was also told that it could be that in order to sell thr car the dealers have put in a heavier weighted oil to make the check engine and oil pressure lights go off. Even if that is not what happened i havent even had the car 6 months and i owe $13000.00/ 7 year loan. Even if i change oil pump most likely ill need a new engine and it wont be worth fixing.
