Very helpful and patient when your deciding between 2-3 vehicles. Nice that the vehicles are unlocked so you can check out all the little things that are important to you.

My experience with CarMax Omaha was a tale of two very different experiences. The vehicle transfer process was by far the most frustrating part of the transaction. We paid a substantial transfer fee and were given delivery expectations that ultimately changed multiple times. Throughout the transfer, there were inconsistent status updates between what the app showed and what store personnel could see internally. At one point, the vehicle appeared to sit without meaningful movement for over a week, and there was very little proactive communication regarding the delay. The timing created significant inconvenience for us. Before the transfer was even initiated, we communicated that we had a very limited window to complete the transaction due to upcoming international travel. Based on assurances that the vehicle was still on track, I rearranged my schedule, moved other obligations, and took time off work in order to travel to Omaha and complete the purchase. Unfortunately, the timeline continued to shift, creating uncertainty about whether the transaction would even be possible. When the vehicle finally arrived, I discovered several cosmetic issues that had not been disclosed in the online listing or condition report, including deep scratches on the rear bumper, driver’s door, and front end, along with a noticeable dent on the driver’s door. While we ultimately decided to proceed with the purchase because the vehicle represented a very good value overall, the condition report did not accurately reflect the vehicle’s actual cosmetic condition. We also discovered that some of the vehicle’s equipment and trim features differed from how it had been advertised, which fortunately worked in our favor, but further highlighted the importance of accurate vehicle descriptions. That said, the Omaha staff handled the situation professionally once management became involved. They listened to our concerns, refunded the transfer fee in full, and worked to make things right. The purchase process itself was smooth, efficient, and everyone we dealt with in person was courteous and professional. My recommendation to CarMax would be to improve communication during long-distance transfers, provide more proactive updates when delays occur, and ensure vehicle condition reports accurately reflect the actual condition of the vehicle. Delays happen, but better communication and more accurate disclosures would have prevented much of the frustration and inconvenience we experienced. Despite the challenges, I appreciate the efforts made by the Omaha team to ultimately resolve the situation and earn my business.

Overall, the trade-in value was fair, and the car we purchased had the price re-evaluated and reduced because the 2016 Toyota Avalon XLE was listed on the web site as a "premium" but it didn't have premium features, so that was a good thing.

I've purchased many cars in my lifetime and I honestly have to say this was by far the less stressful experience I've ever had! It was simple, no pressure, and the 10 day trial with no strings was a game changer. If I ever purchase another vehicle, it's Carmax! 100 percent satisfied.

The salesman was late for my appointment but that was because it was a busy day had to come back because I didn’t bring my title but when I bought CarMax didn’t give me a title and I didn’t finance. On the day of pick up no salesman to see if everything was ok just a paperwork lady who said after we were done signing pointed out side and said there it is no bow no picture no nothing kind of disappointing because the two cars before this that’s what happened. The process was spiritually seamless, for what I was expecting and what I was trying to do. What I was most amazed at was the customer service processes addressing my exact concerns so that my understanding of the whole process continued to give me a peace of mind. My experience was ideal, when it comes to what a customer should research and expect about any seller for anything they ever choose to buy. I know there's been lots of reviews claiming bad experiences or unfulfilled demands, but I believe everything went right and I am happy to say that my first experience as a CarMax customer was enjoyable.
