Bought a 2014 GMC from them on cars.com price was 12k when I checked with the bank it's 22k. The day after I brought it home check engine light came on and ac would work intermediately and temperature gauge would stop working fan would go full blast even after truck was shutdown for several minutes I'm under the suspicion that the computer codes were cleared to get it off the lot before issues arise.

So changing my review from a 5 star to a 1 because I cannot give it a 0 long story short bought my daughter a 2015 volvo s60 with only 29995 miles on it on 8/27. On 09/22 had to park the car because it has a cracked head gasket and the transmission is gone. The story is much much longer ( I mentioned to them that the coolant was low when we were at the dealership they said they would fill it. If they bothered to fill it did the "tech" that filled it not notice that what was in the reservoir looked like chocolate milk?) I sure did notice it when i had to put coolant in it on 09/22 . When I got to the dealership i even asked Joe what is wrong with it he stated absolutely nothing. If they had really done any kind of inspection they would have known that there was something wrong with the car and they should have never sold the car. I am now out 6k for the down payment. Repairs will run over 10k great job Joe and the gang taking advantage of a single mom with stage 4 cancer that only wanted to do something nice for her kid. I did call the dealership on 09/22. Kevin call back close to 7pm that same day said he felt really bad and would try to figure something out to help us. Since i certainly cant affird 10k in repairs. Haven't heard from him since. I will be contacting a lawyer.

Great place! Pros and Cons as with any place.
Pros: Awesome people, Carl was amazing! very personable staff. Gave me an awesome trade in price for my car. Not pushy, hard bargain, but willing to work numbers with you. Cons: Paper work is a little slow getting to the lenders(been a week now and still nothing), noticed a couple minor things wrong with the vehicle after purchase. Overall: In my experience, the process was good. As expected at any dealership be ready to spend a few hours when you're ready to make a purchase. They were down on person and still made the experience as quick and easy as possible.
Scam excuse for a car lot
This is the kind of place that makes people hate car salesman. I ignored the warning signs, that it was apparent none of the three employees here could get a job anywhere else, that the furniture looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster, that there was a spilled coffee in the office that no one had picked up. But found a car I wanted for the price I wanted. Until they "worked the numbers" and added $1500 to the sale price. Not tax, tag, etc, but to the actual advertised price in the car and online. This place is a scam with salespeople that have obviously washed out of any other sales job whose best skill is smoking under the tree out front. Stay away at all costs. Makes a buy here pay here lot look like a Mercedes dealership.
Friendly and smooth transaction
New to the area and they had what we were looking for. Beth was easy to work with. Yes their advertised prices are very attractive, but keep in mind that they are a business trying to make a buck too. So when they add in their reconditioning fees, transportation, etc. they still end up right at or even slightly below what you'll find for published book values.
Called about there price on cars.com and it was all fraud she said that is the price online is not right you have to trade to get the discount on all the cars.com auto trader cargrus all say the same price and she is very rude when you call , she just says hello doesn’t even say the name of the dealership smh
Our experience at plattners was great! They guy even stayed super late to help us finalize our deal! Very friendly people with super Great deals! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
dealership is great when they are taking your money, even though it will be more expensive than what you saw online when it's all said and done..but hey, its whatever, I did get a nice vehicle. The problem there is following through with the "We owe you" that they hand out to make sure they seal the deal. I was owed two front tires and told it wouldnt be but a week. Seemed a little long just for two tires, but okay. Two weeks passed with a few calls placed to them. When we called Beth would always say that she would pass along the messages to Matt. I recieved one phone call back in that time frame from Matt and he blew it off and said he will call when there in. Here we are 19 days, no tires and repeated calls in with no return calls (other than the one I previously explained). So my mother calls this morning, to save me from doing it as I have three kids and a busy schedule, and Beth answers the phone. My mother, who is in her 70's and as sweet as can be, greets Beth and says that we have yet to get any recent phone calls returned. Beth got emotionally stressed with my mother and says "Its too early for this" and seems frazzled to the max over a simple inquiry. She says Matt will call and hangs up. Matt, the MANAGER of this place, calls my mother and doesn't say hello or anything and proceeds to YELL at her and say "DONT UPSET BETH, HOW DARE YOU UPSET HER?!" Seriously?? My mother responds with she didnt and then he calls her a liar, tells her tires are late because of Covid (wth?) and HANGS UP ON HER! This is the manager???!! A manager should be proffesional and not worried about sticking up for his girlfriend who obviously is a little too emotional, but with the satisfaction of the customer. Sad part is, I gave this store an excellent review after Beth literally drilled it to us that we need to do it and I happily obliged because when they were sealing the deal they WERE awesome, but sadly they have issues. After speaking with their regional manager Derek (who is completely friendly, proffesional and competent to have the position he holds) he got it done for me and apologized. That's the way a good business does things. I love my vehicle and the customer service I recieved from Derek (regional manager) and Ralph (Arcadia Plattner) and even Joe (Venice Plattner). I would definitely purchase from Plattner, but NEVER from the Venice branch. Buyer beware!
Beware! Predatory Dealership with hidden fees
I never write reviews but felt like I needed to warn people... Beware of the finance manager!!! The internet pricing is very attractive and the sales people are nice but once you get down to signing, things change real quick. They were incredibly pushy and rude. You should never feel rushed/pressured to make such a large purchase, and after doing so you should be happy. Read the fine print! They tried to add on 3,000 in fees! And despite my great credit I had to fight to reduce the APR... The prices online seem too good to be true... because they are. These people make their money by screwing you on the back end.
