- Shopped for a new car
They were very honest about my car repair and avoided charging me unnecessarily. Well above my experience at a rival Toyota dealership (Basil). I will definitely return to West Herr.

My recent experience at West Herr Toyota of Williamsville was disappointing. To make a long story short, I've been experiencing an on-going issue with my 2024 RAV4 not starting due to a drained battery after it hasn't been started for 3 or 4 days. I'm retired and obviously don't have a need to drive every day as I did when I worked. West Herr is emphatic that that's the reason I'm experiencing this problem and that my vehicle needs to be trickle charged in order to prevent further issues. Of course this is partially true. The more you drive a vehicle, the better it is for your battery to maintain a charge. The other reason, however, wasn't being told to me. And here it is: 2024 and 2025 RAV4 gas, hybrid and Prime models continue to report battery draining defects. The vehicles Electronic Control Modules and Data Communication Modules fail to completely enter "Sleep Mode" when the vehicle is turned off. Instead, they continuously drain the 12 volt battery until it cannot start the car. It's called " parasitic battery draw". Diagnostic scans fail to flag the error resulting in Technicians telling owners to "drive the vehicle more". You're also told to use a trickle charger as required. Toyota has not resolved the parasitic battery draw issue across all RAV4 vehicles as of the date of this review. I encourage RAV4 owners to research this issue. I love my vehicle but I do expect the Service Department, whether it's West Herr or any other Toyota Dealership, to be honest with me regarding the real issue at hand and not turn it around and totally blame me for not driving it enough. Until this issue is acknowledged and Toyota resolves it, you will continue to deal with a RAV4 which may or may not start.

I am pleased to West Herr Toyota and Pat Esposito in particular. She was a delight to work with not only due to her knowledge, experience and thoroughness but in her kindness and helpfulness. I have nothing but gratitude to express for her, Isaiah, who showed me around the car an everyone that I encountered at the dealership. If you are looking for a car, start at West Herr with Pat Esposito.
