Write a reviewI feel that I need to let people know to be very cautious if buying a used vehicle fron #1 Auto Sales in Buckhannon. I purchased a 2017 GMC Sierra in July of 2025. In May this year I had to remove the spare tire to access the tow control module. In order to do that, I first had to drill out the access point to lower the spare. The key wouldn't work on it. After lowering the spare, I found that the rear crossmember was completely rusted through. I immediately went to the dealer to see if they would be willing to share the cost of the repair. The flat out refused saying it happened in the ten months I had the truck. Every mechanic, body shop and sane individual I show it to agree that it had to be that way when I bought it. I put the truck up for sale on Marketplace and inform anyone who inquires that the crossmember needs replaced. I won't sell it without disclosing everything I know is wrong. I had a dealer contact me about buying the truck but when he ran the vin it showed that the truck had been in an accident with air bag deployment. The report I was given by #1 Auto Sales said it had no accidents. So at this point without getting lawyers involved ( I haven't ruled that out yet) I have a $27,000.00 truck that I can't sell for $17,000.00. I would like everyone to share this with everyone you know and encourage them to share as well. I have purchased many trucks over the years and I have never felt so cheated and misled by a dealer.

I purchased a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. Two weeks after I purchased the truck I noticed rusty water dripping down onto the running boards. After further inspection I found that the rocker panels on both sides were completely rusted out and had been painted over. I mentioned that to the dealer and was told they didn't do body work. I had outage the truck back multiple times for check engine lights, traction control and ABS lights as well as trailer control system faults. Eventually they told me the tow control module was bad. In order to access it I needed to lowercase spare. When I attempted to remove the access panel to use the crank handle. I found that the lock on it was locked up due to corrosion. I ended up drilling it out. Once I was able to lower the spare, I found that the two rear frame crossmembers were completely rusted through. In addition, the cab mounts are bad and need replaced The dealer has refused to help with the repair. I am currently waiting on an estimate for repairs of this so called quality vehicle. The frame shop said this should have been found during the last inspection. I will be filling complaints with multiple agencies once I have the estimated cost of repair.

Very nice people and were willing to work with me. They have a great selection and were open to allow me to pick any vehicle with several different bank loan options. When I need a good car again I will definitely go back to this car lot
