If their were the option to leave zero stars, I certainly would. I purchased a 2003 Toyota Carolla from the "Family" Auto Network just over a year ago. The dealer did nothing but tell me how wonderful the car was, how it would last forever, that the prior owner had completely babied it, the usual slimy car dealership slop, but I just figured it was a used car and the mileage was low enough that I could deal with any issues that might come up over the next few years.....i basically got through the first tank of gas when issues started popping up everywhere, full tune up, issue with the fan, issue with the radiator...i dealt with it all in stride...i never contacted the dealership...i just let it slide....the real issue happened about a month ago after I had fixed all of the mechanical garbage. I was driving the car on highway 30 when a semi started to drift into my lane, obviously unable to see me to his right, as he drifted over, I completely panicked as it was obvious he had no idea I was to his side, I slammed my hand on the horn to let him know i was there so he wouldnt kill me and when i did...no sound came out. That's right...the "Family" auto network is so family oriented, they skipped the inspection on my car as far as I can tell. It's Oregon law that a car sold from a dealership have a working horn prior to sale...these scammers slipped it right by me and because of it, I almost died. I was very lucky their was a shoulder for me to swerve over to. I contacted them after the incident and explained the situation, I even told them I wasnt asking for any recourse or payback from them for them selling me a total lemon, just that I wanted the horn fixed. They refused to fix it. To ANYONE out there looking to buy a car, avoid this place like the plague. They dont do any checks on their cars, they sell everything as quickly as possible, and they certainly wont help you if theirs an issue. Their excuse for not fixing the horn was that i bought it over a year ago....I'm sorry Family Auto Network, I dont drive around honking my horn to see if it works...you know who is supposed to do that? You...before you sell the car. I wonder how many people you've almost killed due to your neglect.

I am still in shock at how disrespectful and rude the owner was to me and my dad. No matter the deal or the vehicle, I couldn't stomach doing business with Family Auto Network. Not ever. When I asked what the process would be for having the car looked at by an independent mechanic, I was told I couldn't. That it wasn't an option at all...such a red flag! When my dad saw smoke come out of the vehicle, he asked the owner about it. The owner got visibly upset. He said it was impossible and tried to explain the difference between smoke and steam to my dad (who by the way is a chemical engineer...). The owner also tried to bully me into paying in cash instead of exploring financing options. I'm fortunate to work in personal finance and understood he using a scare tactic on me...but I could have easily been taken advantage of. Lastly, the owner kept impeding our independent inspection of let the vehicle. He kept interrupting, talking over us, and trying to distract us. It felt like he was either hiding something and/or incredibly inpatient.

This seller did not respond to email requests for information. When I went to the lot to look at the vehicle, it was dirty inside. The agent stated he would have it detailed. When I jumped at the offer, he turned away and started saying insulting things like I had "limited intelligence." I have never experienced anything quite like it. Not sre what to make of that, but would not provide any identifying info for this seller as he appears unstable. Scary experience.

I purchased a vehicle in April of 2013 and was told it was run through their shop and everything was good. I took it to four different mechanics all who said this vehicle is very dangerous to drive and should not have been sold to me in the condition it was in. The latest safety inspection revealed a gasket leaking onto the exhaust manifold which if left unattended will start a fire. The sway bar is also being held on by a zip tie, I am not kidding.
