I don't normally brag about my experience with a car

I don't normally brag about my experience with a car salesman BUT I must in this scenario! David at Frank Leta treated my daughter and I like we were his family. We knew what we were looking for and told him ahead of time and he had the car ready for us to test drive. He took his time explaining all of the safety features to my daughter who is a young adult before she even left the parking lot. He made sure she got what she desired for her trade in and didn't take advantage of us, we told him what the Kelly Blue Book said and what we wanted and BOOM he made it happen. He was sweet, fast with delivery, and so detailed in every step of the process I know we will return to this dealership and buy again from David! Matt the sales manager was his side kick and helped us along the way so I don't want to leave him out of this review because he listened to us and showed empathy to our situation and really bent over backwards to make the deal happen. We could have bought our Honda anywhere in STL but they really stepped up and we appreciate both of them! We were in and out in less than 2 hours with a brand new car and could not have done it without these guys. THANK YOU!!!!

Avoid this dealership!

Avoid this dealership!!! This is my second car I’ve bought from this dealership and will be the last. There were certain details that were extremely important that we needed for our next car. Our sales staff talked about the details, found us a car that they said would fit those needs, and we made an agreement to purchase. Once we were contractual tied to purchasing the car, the details that were important to us all of the sudden change. Sales Management was able to listen to our phone calls and read the texts and confirmed to us that the sales staff made a mistake and their inattention caused the details to slip through. Management apologized and offered peanuts(free oil change) to rectify the situation. It was a pretty big mess up and management complained to me that they couldn’t do anything else for me because they didn’t want to lose money on the sale. Oookay. Day comes that our car is ready. We communicate that we have little kids so likely going to get a baby sitter. We understand it’ll take time but don’t need to sit around all day. Staff has us set up an appointment saying that’s the best way to go or finance may be busy with other customers. No problem. Get there and the car has a broken part - not the dealerships fault, manufacture error. They agree to order a part to replace it for free. Great! Next step was working with finance and our appointment. We waited almost 2 hours after our appointment time until finally being met. No clue what even the purpose of the appointment was since it didn’t matter to them. Other customers were complaining loudly about all of us sitting around and them wasting our time. We meet finance and tell them we are a bit frustrated and have a baby sitter so let’s get moving and be time aware. We declined all the extra warranties, we didn’t feel they fit our needs and with how everything else was going - it was a no. Thought we were all done and set… nope, next had to wait for management to come in. They come in and wanted us to tell them why we didn’t add on any additional warranties aka $$$$. They said no one ever does that, people always get warranties so want to know why. He tries to sell it again, but finally takes no for an answer. 3 hours after the initial appointment, we finally leave with our car. Icing on the cake is the part they promised to replace took them 4+ weeks to do so because they forgot to order it. There’s that Frank Leta customer support they try to sell you on. After all of this, it is clear this dealership does not care about their customers and they are only after your money.

While looking for new vehicle, Steve was excellent

While looking for new vehicle, Steve was excellent highlighting the features I had interest in (w/o me specifying). He set me up with a couple of test drives that allowed me to refine my short list of vehicles. Always take my cars there for servicing and they are always friendly, helpful, and transparent.

Switched over from BOMMARITO VW, and so glad we did! Not only will I have a super reliable car, I can also rely on the staff at Frank Leta to understand my needs as a car owner. They have a family friendly vibe and will ensure you’re taken care of. I will definitely be back to shop at the O’Fallon location again.

Charged over $700 for refurbished alternator plus labor

Charged over $700 for refurbished alternator plus labor of course. (Total was over $1100) Found it at 3 legit part stores for average of $350. We’ve been with Leta for years and have referred many friends and family to them but I can’t justify continuing to take my business to them if they are literally going to double the cost of parts. Do a better job Leta or you will continue to lose customers. We were going to buy a new car after September. We still are but it won’t be from Leta Honda

Purchased a brand new Honda last week. It was a relaxed, easy purchasing experience. I dealt with Ryan and he was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He obtained everything I wanted on the car at a good price.

Great dealership location, comfortable waiting area.

Great dealership location, comfortable waiting area. The finance phase was painfully drawn out considering we paid cash for the difference of our trade-in. We were subjected to a “sneak attack” sales pitch attempting to get us to purchase extended warranty on our 2026 CR-V. It was not clear to us why we were escorted to a closed door office. We expected only to review and sign pertinent sales and transfer paperwork. Most of the time was a poorly prepared pressure sell for an extended warranty. Then Birty brought Chris back to question our decision. Chris mocked our decision to trade in a 2021 CR-V with 19,050 miles by asking “Why would anyone trade in a car with that low mileage”? I have been driving only new cars since 1969 and should NEVER need to justify my decision to trade. After all, our trade-in was checked out before consummation of the sale. The entire process took MORE THAN THREE HOURS!!! That should have been done in one hour since all the numbers were agreed upon several days prior to our arrival and after posting a $500 deposit.
