There was only one request I made before I picked up the truck and that was to simply replace the air filter that was flashing an alert on the dash. Instead of replacing a $50 filter, they reset the sensor. Concerning that a “service” department would take a short cut on something so simple. Makes you question, what other short cuts do they take with their vehicles?

Ellie was wonderful! The vehicle that I had chosen online did not meet my expectations, she was sharp to ask what I was looking for in a truck. Then she showed me all the trucks on the lot. She was thorough in explaining the process, paperwork and financing. HGreg is fortunate to have such a talented agent!

The customer service I received was good. The salesman took extra time showing us vehicles. We finally chose one to purchase and we were assured that everything was tested and in working order. We bought it, and parked in the parking lot checking out the equipment. Then the Check Transmission light came on. They said to bring it back tomorrow since the mechanics were done for the day, even offering to put us up in a hotel. Then we couldn't get the touch screen to work. A possible $2600 repair if I drive it up north past the 500 mile warranty distance. They said bring it back tomorrow. After that I returned the vehicle. Too much to risk, even though I was assured everything "was checked and working". Returning it was not a hassle, they manager was good about it. The car prices are good, but make sure your check everything before buying. Also, wasn't able to test drive car on express way, which I didn't like.

In April 2025, I purchased a 23’ Honda Trailsport at Doral HGreg from Dairon. When signing the contract, I see a $1700 charge to “prepare” the car. I’m told that it’s to check the car over & make any repairs prior to selling it. He tells me they will not budge on this charge. The manager (Alex) then offered me more for my trade in, I accept. I’m then passed on to the “extended warranty” guy who sells me a pkg which he states “covers the vehicle from bumper to bumper”. I believe it was close to $3400. I later find out it doesn’t cover much of anything with all of the hidden contingencies but thankfully, I was later able to cancel this pkg before the 60 day window. Driving home, 10 min after purchasing the suv, the gas light comes on (appx $80 to fill). When I park at home, I notice the sensors don’t activate. I see they’re turned off, so I turn them on and warning signs appear. The next day while driving, my mirrors randomly move on their own and my seat as well. I text Dairon and ask about the 5day “return” policy. He states it will only give me credit, then he arranges the car to be repaired the next day at a closer HGreg (palm beach). I arrive at the PB location at 8a, wait 6.5hrs only to be told they don’t have the part & to return the following day. The next day they “fix” the car but once home, I notice one muffler is protruding & the other is pushed in. I look under the car & see that a rod is not connected to the other bracket which is attached to hold the muffler so I again text Dairon who, after speaking to the sales mngr, texts that I can take it in to my own shop & they will reimburse me since I am leaving to drive 1900 to Texas in a couple of days and need this addressed immediately. I take it to a Honda service center a block away from me who reports the rod holding the muffler has been welded and is too short to even reach the other bracket. They replace the muffler and air filter. HGreg then refuses to pay the $1400 (muffler only) so I had to involve an attorney who has uncovered many built in unnecessary charges. They also charged me $450 for my out of state plates and said they would reimburse me of any overpayment as I questioned the high price. I later found out they only paid about $5 but I have not received a refund. Now that I’ve taken the car in for a thorough diagnosis for legal reasons, I am informed the car was in two accidents, one minor and one undisclosed which bent the bumper support rod so nothing is squared up. They also found the trim was glued to the panel to make it sit flush. All these charges to get the vehicle sell-worthy and two of HGregg’s service shops didn’t see the bent and mis-aligned back end nor the short muffler rod & not even the empty gas tank?! Or perhaps they are the ones that “prepared” it in this fashion and turned the sensors off?! Of course my belief is the latter but it’s still under investigation. It’s cost me $3400 to fix (most but not all) of it. Plus the $1400 muffler, filter, gas, time, etc. What a horrible experience with what one would stereotype a used car dealership to be and the vehicle was not such a great deal in the end. My attorney is still finding more out before we head for arbitration. I’m sure I will not be able to post an update once legal process starts - I advise you to stay clear of HGreg & save yourself the stress & time!
