worst dealership ever

I have had a few experiences with this dealership. First I went to Peoria Ford to look at a new Ford Explorer.I quickly found that they were not keeping to their deals and promises that were being advertised. There was always some small detail that canceled out any kind of deal and rebate. It was honestly like they didn't want us to buy a vehicle. They kept trying to put us in a vehicle that we didn't want saying that they weren't able to get a Ford Explore. The ones they could get were states away and we would have to pay for the shipping cost to get it here. They also kept trying to get us in a vehicle that was way above our budget that they already knew we wouldn't be able to afford. While working numbers they would constantly talk down to us, involving the whole sales team and supervisors coming in to tell us how hard it is for them. They even went into explaining that they were upside down on purchasing one vehicle because they paid too much for it, pushing that mistake on to us as if it was our fault. After walking out we got a call from the famous Pat saying to come back in and they would set things right. We went back in only to go through the same pain as before. We live 2 hours away so it was a big deal to come in. We ended up getting in contact with San Tan Ford and within two days of negotiations we drove off in our new 2012 Ford Explorer for the price we were asking for from Peoria Ford. Peoria Ford was the worst experience I had ever had with any dealership. And that's not it. With my new vehicle I bought the extended warranty and three free oil changes. The problem was that San Tan Ford was almost 3 hours away from where we lived. I called them and they agreed to push our contract to were they would pay for other dealerships to do our oil changes. So I called Peoria Ford to see if they could handle my free oil changes that would be paid for by San Tan. You can't mess up an oil change An appointment was set. Before I was able to get into Peoria Ford to do the oil change a slight thumping started in the front of our new Explorer. I called Peoria before our appointment and asked that they look at that issue while they had it in. The lady said that there would be no problem. We showed up for our appointment and we're there for two hours after handing them our keys before we had gotten any info. I went up to the service desk and they said that they haven't looked at it yet. "We are really sorry" we were there for another hour before they gave us our keys back. I asked them what they found out regarding the thumping in the front. They told me they didn't have time to look at it. Three hours for an oil change! I was really upset and they really made me feel that they didn't care telling me to schedule another appointment so they could give it a good look. A few weeks later with another appointment we gave them our keys again. One hour later the service rep came apologizing saying that they hadn't been able to get our vehicle in to inspection yet. He then offered us a rental telling us that they didn't want us to have to wait. If we could leave it with them they would look it over during the weekend. I reminded him that we lived far away and if they would be able to get us a rental it needed to be something comparable to the Explorer. Sure thing he said and got on the phone with Enterprise. Enterprises rep cam over and picked me up to go across the street and get my rental. Then I found out that they would only cover $30 a day for rental. I told the rep that because of the dealership messing things up with my appointment they were going to pay for it. The rep got on the phone and told me that it was not what they were telling him. I asked him to take me back. Back at the dealership I asked the rep if he had been able to look at our vehicle and he said that they still haven't. It's been 2 1/2 hours and they still haven't gotten it in. I explained to him what enterprise had said and he apologized blaming Enterprise for changing the way they do their business. I spent the next hour talking circles with the service rep while the manager stood back and watched. They couldn't get the Explorer in despite the scheduled appointment 3 hours prior. Now they were telling me that they would keep it and set us up with rental as a "favor" but wouldn't authorize to cover the whole cost. Only when I told the rep that I was leaving and never coming back the service manager spoke up saying that they would cover the weekend for us is an exasperated tone. The rep looked at him with daggers as if saying, "your gonna sit there this hole time and listen to me trying to help this guy when you could have spoke up an hour ago." Up to this moment I didn't realize that the guy standing there was the service supervisor. Just then the Enterprise showed up with a car that would obviously not even slightly work. He said that was all he had. I looked at the service rep and told him to give me my keys and that I was never coming back.

Dealer response

We take pride in our high level of customer service throughout the entire sales process – including service after the sale – and we’re sorry you had a different experience. We apologize for the time spent both finding the car you were looking for and waiting to have it serviced, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience that may have caused you. We’d like to speak with you more in depth on the issue and try to make things right, and we urge you to reach out to Pat Hickey at 623-977-8888 at your earliest convenience.

The Great Handoff

We went in this past weekend to look for a used vehicle for our daughter in college, nothing new, but reasonably priced and in good condition, etc. I repeatedly told them our budget and criteria and I overheard one of the salesmen say "oh that's not going to happen". Then came the hand-off, from one salesmen to the next. We were there less than one hour and 4 salesmen came out to move us around a lot that didn't have any vehicle that met our criteria. A huge waste of our time!!! Take your business to a dealership where they will listen to the customer's needs!!

RIP-OFF STAY AWAY

This dealership is the biggest rip off I have ever been to! They pressure and intimidate you into buying a car. Told the salesman repeatedly I wanted to think it over but he would not return my keys . Don't believe anything they tell you because it probably isn't true! All they care about is themselves and not the customer. Once the deal is over, you might as well consider yourself a second class citizen because you will be upside down in your loan you will never be able to pay your vehicle off . Wish i had NEVER gone to Peoria Ford. Totally stressed out experience. AVOID at all costs!! #1 RIP-OFF DEALERSHIP AN THEY ARE PROUD OF IT.

Got my pathfinder at a tent event. They made me fill up the EMPTY tank myself, did not detail as promised, stereo wouldn't work and had to drive out 2 different times from Avondale to have someone look at it after making 2 appointments just days after purchase. Said they had no means to give a loaner car so I had to miss several hours from work to fit myself into their schedule. Worst experience by far. Their used car manager Bo was a joke... Unfriendly, stuck up guy, who acted like I was inconveniencing them! A joke. They just wanted me to be gone...horrible customer service. But if I bought the $95,000 raptor they had in their show room I'm sure this would of all been different! Same on me for buying into a commercial....pretty sure they lost me

I went to this dealership to look at a specific pre-owned vehicle. I clearly stated that I will only be looking at the car and not test driving it. However, one of the managers offered "If I offer you this amount, will you at least test drive it?" Which I did. After driving it around, I still told them that I would really like to test drive more cars today- where this person then offered me a lower price for the vehicle. After contemplating it, I finally said okay if it is for this amount, but I will be paying in cash only and that I do not want it to be financed or have my credit checked. Next thing I know, the salesperson said he had to check if they will okay it (I assume he was talking about the manager/financial dept). I thought we had already agreed on the amount yet turned out it had to be approved first? So he had me fill out a form, stating any person purchasing a car that had to be paid by cash that is more than a certain amount ($10000), must complete this form. Okay I knew that and I knew that they do not have to run my credit if I only pay for cash. And while completing the form, I was told numerous times by the salesperson, that they will not run my credit because I am paying cash. Well today, I found out they did run my credit without my approval. Anyway, another person I never met came out and said that they will not give me that low price that we agreed upon which I did not even offer the first place (was offered by the other manager). NOT HAPPY and I would not recommend anybody to go this place. Poor communication among their sales team and managers and most of all, they ran a credit check without my permission. I know my rights and I know they can not run a credit inquiry without my approval.

We are considering a used pick up truck for our teenage son, and Jason was very helpful and knowledgable. We will definitely return to Peoria Ford when we are ready to purchase. We highly recommend this dealership!

I had just lost my car, had poor credit and not much of a down payment. I was desperate because I had 3 children at home and no vehicle to grocery shop or get to work. When I went to Peoria Ford Jason and Ruben went out of their way to get me into a vehicle I could afford. They were my Christmas miracle.

After buying several vehicles from this dealership, I was told to bring both cars back in a year to trade them in against another car and they would hold there value and that they would honor this verbal agreement. So I waited a year and a half, showed up to trade the Cars and was told that I am stil 5 digits upside down and they can not do nothing for me. As I was leaving I turned around to notice the sales mgr. and the salesman laughing. I would not recommend anyone to this dealership, nor will I ever do business with them again. Hope for nothing but the worst for them.

First off, my problem with Peoria Ford is not my car salesman Jeremy or the guy that put my payment plan together.. My issue is FINANCING DEPT----- I took my 2006 car in for a trade in (condition: all that was wrong was the AC).. Spent a long time at the dealership negotiating a trade(my salesman was AWESOME! Jeremy B. - Good Job and so was the manager in the department that works with putting a payment package together- AMAZING) .Put 500 down and Bought a new car then the monday after recieved a phone call giving me an ultimatum of a cosigner or raise my payment. I was FAR from pleased so I took my "new car" back. When on the phone with financing they asked where I was getting my information regarding why I thought I was being "pushed around". I told him my friend, he then started bad mouthing my friend (again, not making me want to continue business with them) .. when i went to take my car back the pushed me around to 4 different people one of which called me rude and all i stated was that i wanted was my keys and money back . They made 3 last stitch efforts to keep me in my car before giving my keys back....As i was leaving in my old car i noticed that my car was hard to steer (MY POWER STEERING WAS OUT!!!) i did not take it in in that condition. I HAVE YET TO RECIEVE MY MONEY BACK!!! Do not go here. It is a JOKE!
