BUYER BEWARE!!

Bought my first Subaru 4 months ago! A 2016 Forester. Bought it used, a lease buy back. Carbone just got it back, scratched and dinged up like crazy on the outside, dirty and stained on the inside. Our sales associate told us not to worry, they’d buff those scratches out, had an excellent fella that would pop those dings out, and after they were done on the inside, it would look brand new! Well, they did buff those scratches out - but we had to wait for the fella to be there to pop those dings out, she told us they’d call us when he was around to get it in for the pop outs...never heard back from them. And the inside? It was better than we first saw it, but definitely not “brand new” looking. Shame on us for not following through and being vigilant on the dents and stains left on the seats! Brakes start squealing just shy of its 4 month anniversary with us. I call them up - bring it in the next day - am told brakes are not part of our warranty (maintenance) and it would cost us $120 to even have them look at the brakes. I’ve had the thing 4 months. Put around 10,000 miles on it. I ask the guy in the shop if this is what Subaru’s do - I need to replace brakes 3 times a year, or every 10,000 miles? To me, that’s not reasonable. He tells me that usually around 50,000 miles the front brakes go, and the rear ones will give me a little more after that. (?) WHY are they selling me a vehicle with 30,000 miles on it, and NOT tell me that I’m going to need brakes soon!? Shouldn’t I get a chance to put my own 50,000 miles on it? I bought a “new” used car, because I was sick of putting repairs into an old car. Now, they are going to charge me $120 to LOOK at the brakes? And then charge me how much for the brakes and labor!? Shame on us for not researching replacement times for brakes. (?) Shame on us for really needing a vehicle, trusting our sales associate and Carbone itself. They probably saw us coming a mile away. But, shame on Carbone for being so slimey. They will tell you a good story, got posters and plaques all over their show room praising themselves for being family orientated and honest. What a joke. BUYER BEWARE!!

Best experience buying a car

Needed a car for my daughter and thought a Subaru would be a good safe choice. Carbone delivered with a great price and pleasant experience. WIll definitely be a repeat customer at Carbone.

Recall service

Brought car in due to a recall. Service completed very quickly even though there was a long line of cars in front of me when I arrived. I did have an appointment.

Personnel where very attentative.

There was a recall on my 2017 Subaru Outback which was taken care of along with my vehicle inspection and service. I expected to be there a couple of hours and it was less than that. I just like the way the personnel at Carbone treats their customers along with the explanation of all that was done to my car. I lease my vehicles and definitely will be leasing another next year with Carbone.
