AL contacted me less than 24 hours after posting my previous review regarding my 2018 Titan. If I would’ve spoken to him I can assure you my review would’ve been drastically different. He genuinely cared about the problems with my truck. He sent a flatbed to tow my vehicle to their dealership (at no expense) for their mechanic to attempt to resolve any issues with it. I can’t recommend him enough and anyone concerned with anything should ask for him.

Buy from somewhere else

Purchased used 2018 Titan in May of 2022 that now has to have a new motor due to oil sludge build up. Mechanic stated he has no clue how I was able to drive the truck, and that the issue was present before the time of purchase. I would never recommend anyone to buy from them

Mr. Rittenberry, I understand that it is extremely frustrating to have major repairs to your truck and wish you were not having an issue. I will be happy to see if we can do anything to help you get your vehicle running again. Please contact us with the detailed information on what is going on with your vehicle. Based on the pictures alone, my team thinks that the engine may not need to be replaced. For the record, we do a thorough inspection on all of our pre-owned vehicles before making them available for sale and are happy to have anyone take one of our vehicles to another mechanic prior to purchase. Regular oil changes with quality products will almost always prevent sludge. We do an oil change with Dexos1 or better on every used vehicle, regardless of mileage, before we offer it for sale and will not retail a vehicle that has a sludge problem. The mechanic who changed your oil since your purchase should have noticed your oil being thick, dark and clumpy as your sludge problem developed. Additionally, your vehicle’s check oil light is designed to come on long before the issue gets bad enough that the engine needs to be replaced. You still should have had ample time to treat the problem when you noticed the vehicle not operating properly even if all the other warnings failed. Sludge can often be resolved by an additive and fresh oil change unless it goes untreated for too long. Here are some good resources for you related to sludge: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_sludge https://driving-tests.org/beginner-drivers/how-to-remove-engine-sludge/ https://www.automotivist.com/oil-changes-remove-sludge https://www.firestonecompleteautocare.com/blog/oil-change/tips-preventing-engine-sludge/ https://mechanicbase.com/engine/engine-sludge-removal/ Very sincerely, Mitchel Bone, owner

TERRIBLE customer service--Serv Dept!

TERRIBLE customer service! Avoid the service department at Wilson County Motors. They lack any desire to communicate with their customers… or to be efficient in their business transactions—and apparently lack sufficient knowledge to complete the simplest of tasks. I had a 10:20am Appt on a Wednesday over a brake-sensor issue & flapping noise under left front fender. I was told I’d receive a phone call after lunch with an update. NO phone call. I finally called at 3:45pm to check on the status. I was told by a technician they were still trying to figure out the sensor issue, & currently working on it—he’d personally call me back before leaving at 4. NO phone call. And—I received NO phone call the following day. I tried to call them. But—I kept getting sent to voicemails. After 3pm, I finally spoke to my first live person. The technician said “we were waiting on you for confirmation to order a brake sensor”. WHAT—me? I asked why I wasn’t contacted that morning, so the part wouldn’t be delayed? No response—other than repeating they were waiting on me. Yet—I was told they’d call me! So—We ordered the simple sensor (which could have been realized if they’d even actually looked at my truck on Wednesday). When I asked about the flapping noise though (which turned out to be a loose fender), the technician claimed it was simply tire noise! He said I had tire-wear on my large tires, and it was just the noise of the road. I grew up on a farm, and I used to have a large jeep, so I know what mud-terrain tires sound like on the highway—and that wasn’t the noise I was hearing. Once I finally got a manager involved, they finally test-drove my truck to confirm it wasn’t tire noise. I have never in my life been more offended—after basically being confused with someone ignorant enough to not recognize a flapping fender—against tire noise! The technician apparently never took the time to actually investigate my concern—even though I had an audio recording of it that I played for the service department when I dropped it off. So—the service manager promised the sensor will arrive Monday morning & my truck will be at the front of the line to be installed. And—he said that he would give me a call Monday morning to update me. Well—guess what? NO PHONE CALL! I finally call (after 2pm) to check on my truck. The nice lady at the front transfers me to the service department on 3 different occasions over a twenty minute period of time. Twice—sent to a voicemail recording. Once—sent to a guy who wasn’t in the service department, & refused to transfer me. Instead—he said I needed to go to the website & try a different number. So I do—straight to voice message again. I call the nice lady at the front again (she is wonderful!) & ask her to put me on hold until someone in the serv dept is actually willing to speak to me. Finally—1 does. He informs me they are currently pulling my truck in the bay, & it will be a 2 1/2 hour procedure (to change a brake sensor???). I ask why I hadn’t been contacted—only response I got from him was they were busy. I ask why my truck wasn’t serviced in the morning like I was told—only response was simply they were busy & had other vehicles ahead of mine to get done. I asked why was I told by a service manager on Thursday that mine would be first on Monday—(once the sensor arrived)—same response—busy. I told him they had the WORST customer service I’d ever dealt with in my life. I would never do business with them ever again—even if I have to drive another additional hour away! Wilson County Motors’ Service Department treats its customers only as a number on a work ticket… they will not value you as a customer…& will NEVER communicate with you— unless you force it.

We acknowledge your review and are currently looking into the events you’ve detailed.

Dealership doesn't care about customers.

Dealership doesn't care about customers. Fact, Hoover hit our vehicle backing up while in another customers vehicle. Dealership doesn't want to "make it right" and told us to take it up with insurance. But refused to give proper insurance info. Called and waited almost 3 weeks before anyone even contacted me back even though calling and leaving messages on the voice-mail. Owner/Operator Mr. Mitchell Bone does not care and refuses to acknowledge or contact us. Horrible experience with all involved at dealership except receptionist and sales lady.

Do not buy an electric car or any other car from this

Do not buy an electric car or any other car from this dealership. They know next to nothing about their EVs. Nearly 10 different sales people and their techs had no idea how to use their EV charger for customer use in the parking lot. Getting ahold of anyone at the dealership takes many phone calls and phone tag. Only redeeming part of this dealership was Mike in the finance department. He was friendly and helpful.

Consumer response

I’ve made multiple attempts to reach Al the sales manager. Left a message on Monday the 13th of this month and have not heard anything back yet. Hammers home my point of horrible communication from your dealership.

Consumer response

Just tried calling yet again to speak with Al only to be pushed to voicemail again.

My check engine light came on November 1st, 2021, took my car to the only place that I trusted, which is Wilson Co. Motors. They installed a SL-N-Cover and R&R Valve Cover. Check engine light came back on November 30th, 2021, took my car back to Wilson Co. Motors, this time they said I needed a SL-N-Valve, R&R Purge Valve. My check engine light came back on in late December. Wilson Co. Motors could not get my car in for at least a week. I was able to get an appointment with a different company. It was actually needing an Intake Manifold and a PCV Pipe that had been duct tape from the service dept at Wilson Co. Motors. I contacted the owner of Wilson Co. Motors, who requested that I email a picture of the part and he would look into it and get back to me. I emailed the picture and a few days later the shop foreman contacted me and said that the service tech had duct taped the part to save me money. I received a check in the yesterday for $120.98. I was not looking to save money; I was looking to have my car fixed right. I spent $1,559.32 within two months because of duct tape! I have lost my trust in the service dept at the dealership.
