My latest experience with Carmax will be my last. I...

My latest experience with Carmax will be my last. I reserved a vehicle for a test drive online and when I made the reservation, it showed the vehicle at the Lancaster location which is where I was going to do the test drive. Great! I get the confirmation email and it says it will be there and ready for the test drive. Great! I missed one call and called back to speak to Lauren, who was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I missed a second call and the last one was the most telling. Lauren said on the voicemail that the car was at the Mechanicsburg location...and NOT at the Lancaster location. What? I called customer service the next day to talk about my appointment and was told yes, the vehicle is indeed at the Mechanicsburg location. I asked how could this be because when I made the reservation, it said on the website it was at Lancaster. She said that sometimes they do inventory swaps between locations to meet demand, which makes sense. I then asked how could they do that when I made a reservation for a test drive and the vehicle should have been held for me? I didn't get an answer. I then came to find out that I had a new appointment for the upcoming Monday, which was news for me as I never made one for Monday. I had both appointments cancelled on the spot. To conclude, I will never again go to any Carmax again. Their system is unbelievably flawed and they won't be getting my business and I am actively in the market for a vehicle. I later went to cancel my online profile after canceling the appointment and the original vehicle reservation was still showing. Why am I not surprised?

Battery replacement and service dept

Took my 2016 Ford Escape for a battery replacement and Ben and Will from the service dept.were outstanding! They listened to my concerns and were very understanding and met all my needs. They get an A plus in customer service.

TOOK NY 2019 RAM WITH 1850 MILE THE TRUCK IS NEW RAM BOXES SIDE STEPS THE OFFER THEY GIVE ME RIPOFF STAY AWAY TRUST ME!!!!

Always go to CarMax

Have purchased all of our used cars from CarMax. Only criticism I would have is you need to really inspect the car well if it has been in a reported accident. We try to stay away from those - to many hidden damage possibilities. CarMax sales person, Mike is awesome and has enabled me to put my two daughters in safe and nice first time vehicles.

Terrible Service

Don’t purchase a vehicle from these people they’re very I responsible they don’t lubricate the transmission of they’re vehicle or give the proper service before they sell it to you. Better go to a legit dealer even though you have to pay a little more.

Unreal

I was a car sales person for four years, when I had customer I stuck with them during their whole buying experience, even follow up maintenance. I have never been shuffled through so many people during a purchase as I was with this one. The truck was missing clips to hold grill on, had open recall on truck (SAFETY) And there is a Dodge dealer next store. Instead of taking care of it they left it for me to do. I wasn't even offered a bottle of touch up paint for the truck, plus the wipers need replaced, which was not done. The TR time it took them to go through re Pugh finale paper work, back in my selling days I could have rolled three units. Was not a real good shopping experience at all. Not sure if I'd refer anyone to go there are not! In answer to next question. UI

Car Max Review

Ok. So took the plunge and went to car max to buy a car. The main reason is they have a great selection of cars for good prices. The customer service was awesome and my buying experience was great. I would recommend anyone to go to car max as they make financing easy and you can see multiple banks offers right in front of you. They have a wide selection of cars that seemed to be very well priced. If you don't like any cars on their lot they can get one from another Carmax which is what I did. My only complaint is that 90% of the vehicles I looked at were very dirty in the inside. My car was not detailed there was food and trash In between my seats and dirt all inside. I mean they don't haggle on price or on appraisal shouldn't we at least get a clean car. Other than

Carmax Review

Just hope that nothing goes wrong after the 30 day warranty period because they will not cover it. Beware that Car Max apparently frequently adds after market products to their cars.....the after market remote start has mine totally messed up. My worst nightmares about buying a used car have come true.

Carmax Review

I had an excellent experience at Carmax from start to finish. I traded in my car towards a new(er) one that was transferred from a CT Carmax. Everything went extremely well. I would highly recommend Carmax....Imer Lopez and Rolando were excellent to deal with. The facilities were great, the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful and more than willing to assist me and my family. They were very patient and knowledgable and did not pressure in any way. I would definately go to Carmax again in the future!
