Well here it is.

Well here it is. I purchased a Chevrolet Trax from this dealership and it was used. I really had no issue with that and knew that a used car could break down. I was not expecting it to break down 2 days after I purchased it but I brought it back and spoke to a person named Chris who handles those types of situations. He told me at 8:30 am that they would pull it into the shop and let me know what they found. Having not heard anything I called back that after noon and was told that the shop was unexpectedly busy and they had not got to pull it in yet but was preparing too and I should hear something back shortly. I went to bed that night having not heard anything and the next day around 3 P.M. I called and was told still yet that it had not even been looked at yet. I then contacted the highest person I could find which was Chris the used car manager. He along with my salesman Frank Love assured me they would look in to it and to be honest I would give the place a 5 star if based on their work alone. If you do purchase I would strongly recommend Frank or Chris as they are truly devoted to the job. The next morning I was curious as to how things were coming since I had not heard any updates and was told that they had found another thing wrong with the car and was waiting on parts. Now to be honest and in all fairness I am understanding of the whole Fiasco with covid and all causing shortages in more then one field so that is no where near the reason I was upset with their service. All I wanted was to be kept up to date and I only knew about things going on because I called and was told at that time where we stood. I was not called when they could not get the car in nor was I called when they found the catalytic converter needed replaced. Now here is where I do give credit where it is strongly due. Chris (New car manager) worked hard and worked with Frank to get things right. Even Derek the general manager was involved slightly. They took over the situation and kept me in the loop and helped in smaller ways to get things working and they were amazing. If i was reviewing the service department based on communication alone Id give one star but the reason I chose 4 stars is because once they had the parts in they took care of the car and it runs much better. I also give credit to Chris the car manager and Frank Love because they never made attempts to excuse the incident nor did they try to falsely represent their intentions. Both were very polite and to the point and did everything they could within their power to make this right. So all in all I would say that people are only human and the communication could definitely use some improvement but I will definitely consider buying a car from there so long as Frank is around and would recommend him to anyone wanting to buy a car. Though I was upset Id recommend just speaking to these guys when things go wrong and give them a chance. I cant speak for everyone at the dealership but I can definitely speak for Frank and Chris and say that in the end they showed they were not just in it for the sale. They showed that they would in fact go the extra mile and work with you.

Car Service issues

Our car had a notification to have the Stabilitrak system checked out within 7 days. Called for appt. Told to come in Monday. Came in Monday and said we didn't have appt. Said we could have an appt Wed. However that appt was only with the service assistant. Not an appt to have our car seen. We would need to leave it and it may be several days before they actually look at iI. If we left and brought the car back after seeing the service agent the process starts all over. Ridiculous. All other dealerships take appts to have the car looked at not an appt just to meet the service agent with no appt to have the car actually looked at.

Do NOT Buy Here!!

New 2021 Taho bought a few months ago, still under warranty, had to be towed to dealership today. It requires significant warranty work. They refuse to provide a loaner vehicle leaving me and my kids stranded. They want your $$ but do not care about their customers. Buyers BEWARE!! I gave a 1 star review because zero wasn’t an option.

We went on Friday and sign contract for Malibu and we was going through our bank and come Monday they sold out from under us to someone else. Then they claim it was our fault because we wanted to use outside financing. This is pretty shady business.

Shady

We went Friday and signed contract for car and by Monday the sold it out from underneath us. Sales man says it was our fault because we wanted our own financing from our bank.

Be cautious taking your car to be serviced here!!

I would NOT give South Pointe Chevrolet even one star!! I had a very unsatisfactory horrible experience with their Service Dept. I took my 2012 Equinox last Thursday to have the oil changed and for them to check out why my engine light was coming on. At first they were very nice, I then received the phone call stating what they felt was the problem with the engine----Jody stated that I needed a new engine in the car---to the cost of $8,280. !! Jody was sympathetic to having to relay that type of news. Needless to say I was not expecting to hear this kind of news. I told him I would get back with him. I called later in the day and did give verbal OK to put the refurbished engine in the car. Jody relayed to me before they could do that they would have to order a clamp which would not arrive until Mon. or Tues. of this week. Jody was going out of town and if I had any questions I would need to talk to Mike. So a long story short--thanks to the logical thinking of my children imparting words of wisdom had me thinking more about this problem with my car and the HUGE expense it was going to cost to fix it. I decided not to go ahead with replacing the engine so I called the next day to NOT go ahead with replacing the engine. That is when things became very UGLY dealing with South Pointe Service and Mike. I first asked if they had begun work on my car and they had NOT, because waiting for that clamp to come in which was not going to come in until next week. I said, good because I have changed my mine and I do not wish to have the engine replaced----I will pay for services already performed and pick my car up. WELL I was then told, that I would not be able to do that. I would have to PAY for the engine,(that to my understanding, was already in stock at their service Dept.) and pay for all of the nuts, bolts, screws, and the clamp they ordered before they would let me have my car!!!! I was livid !!! I have never heard of a Car Service Dept. being able to hold your car "Ransom" because you changed your mind on having services done ESPECIALLY when work had not been started. Mike was rude with a hateful tone to the point of where I felt like I was being bullied. When all was said and done I did pay for the oil change and picked up my car. Bottom line here I definitely WOULD NOT recommend taking your car to be serviced at South Pointe Chevrolet nor would I consider buying a car from them. In all of my years of having my car serviced NEVER have I been treated in such a manner as this.!!!

Great service!

I was so happy with the service performed on my car and they went above and beyond and took care of my low tire pressure issue

bought a car and it quit after 3 days. they just smirked and said you bought it as is and no help. They probably knew it was screwed up when sold to me. $5000.00 down the drain. xxxxxxxx.

I just bought my second new car in one year here! $90k!...

I just bought my second new car in one year here! $90k! Treated like crap. All they care about are surveys. Had my vehicle in for service. Not only was my problem not fixed, but they did not reassemble my vehicle properly. I've tried calling no one will answer I've also left messages that have not been returned. I hate leaving reviews like this, but perhaps I will wake someone up down there.
