Called about a vehicle posted by this dealer on cars.com and their website, they didn't actually have the posted vehicle available for sale (never did) and gave me a BS story about why it was an error on their site and immediately pivoted to trying to sell me exact same vehicle for $3k more after a few minutes of rambling about how rare Subarus are because of a chip shortage (an outright lie given the vast inventory all over the place). Everything about this interaction is the epitome of why people are disgusted by car salesmen. Oh and as for that "error" posting? it's still live. they're obviously happy for people to keep seeing that error and calling them so they can try to dupe them into more expensive vehicles.
