I have bought and sold a lot of cars over the years (it's quite an addiction really). Whenever possible I try to purchase from private parties because you always know what you're getting and it avoids all the hassles associated with every dealer I've ever experienced. When I set out to buy my dream car, a 2014 BMW M5 there were several on the market within 500 miles of DC. The first one I checked out in person was at Motorcars Washington. I was skeptical at first, but meeting Jarrod for the first time really reminded me of dealing with a private owner. He was extremely passionate about the cars, and knew way more about them than even most BMW sales reps. There was no pressure ever and was extremely easy to negotiate and complete the sale with over the month I took to make a decision. As a bonus, the delivery experience was outstanding and took no time at all - again, unlike other dealerships. I would surely recommend Jarrod and Motorcars Washington and appreciate being able to conduct a transaction as if it were his own personal car.

This is the first car I've bought without seeing it in person, Jarrod handled it for me entirely by phone and email. I was nervous about buying a $120k exotic used car over the internet, but the entire experience was outstanding. It has completely restored my faith that there are dealers out there who truly care about customer service, that go the extra mile, and that handle every request, email, phone interaction, and question with professionalism. There was NEVER any pressure, the price was fair, and they even took the car to get it serviced and checked at their own expense and threw in my next maintenance on the car as well. I probably exchanged 25 emails over the two week process and Jarrod answered every one quickly and politely... I requested additional pictures be taken, I asked them to do research on the car, I asked for the car fax, the window sticker, the service records, and then MORE pictures. Each time, Jarrod happily did what I asked within hours and never gave me the whole "you need to put down money to show me you're serious" routine. I offered to put down a deposit to hold the car, and was told it wasn't necessary... the car was pulled off the website and reserved for me as I finished the paperwork and financing. That's unheard of in my experience. Paperwork was handled well, they brought in a highly reliable closed-bed auto transport company to ship it to me cross-country (to San Francisco... about as far away as possible in the U.S.) and it arrived here perfectly, with all records, books, keys, accessories... everything they said it would have and more. Jarrod's made me a customer for life... Despite being 3000 miles away, I'll be buying future cars from Motorsports Washington.

I recently sold my M3 to Motorcars Washington. Jarrod was fantastic! He appreciated the condition of the vehicle and valued it fairly. While I wasn't shopping that day, the showroom was filled with high-end cars in excellent condition. If you are in the market, I highly recommend a visit.

I was searching for a very specific Audi R8 and came across Jared at Motorcars Washington. From start to finish the communication was excellent and professional. This was not an "in-person" purchase since Motorcars Washington is in Virginia and I am in Nebraska. Nevertheless the whole experience was smooth and painless, unlike other car buying situations. Jared helped me arrange shipping for my vehicle and it arrived in beautiful condition. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and I honestly can say this was one of my best experiences. I recently purchased a 1993 VR Touring RX7 from Jarrod. The buying experience was extremely simple and the transaction went without a hitch, I never felt any worries in both buying a car sight unseen or wiring the money and needing to wait for the title. The detail that Jarrod went into, both pros AND cons of vehicle were right on. It was as if I were looking at the car myself. You can tell the level of standards that Jarrod and his company hold themselves to which I believe others could use a lesson in. The purchase time line was that I purchased the car on a Thursday, the car was on a transport truck on Friday, and the car was in my garage Saturday at noon. Also, the car came with temp tags to make it easier to get registered and a full tank of gas - the perfection in the sales process lies in the details - both of these were never mentioned during the sales process, a nice surprise. You can't a new car that fast at your local dealer, let alone 5 states away. I will, without hesitation, deal with Jarrod in the future when it's time to purchase another car.

I recently purchased a 1993 Mazda RX7 from Jarrod whom I had spoken with in the past. I have been looking for a low mileage vehicle for a while and when I contacted Jarrod it took all of 5 minutes to agree on a realistic sale price. The car was purchased sight unseen and all confidence was put into Jarrod's description of the vehicle as he completed a complete walk around and interior review while I was on the phone. The vehicle was purchased the next day, Jarrod set up transport that same day, and the car was transported to my home a day later. My first impression of the car when seen for the first time, better than the pictures made it look, and temporary tags and a full tank of gas which were never mentioned during our conversation. This make me believe that this is the normal course of complete a sale. The car was EXACTLY as mentioned 100% and the customer service is something other dealers should take a lesson from. This car will be enjoyed for a while and when it's time to change, Jarrod will be getting a call from me to do it all over again - Thanks for a great experience.

Unless you are a business person buying a car is likely to be the second largest purchase you make, and it is often an unpleasant experience. It was such a wonderful surprise when I called from out of state and got Jarrod on the phone. He had the car I wanted, quickly said yes to my fair offer, and just like that we had a win-win. He then made it his business to arrange for shipping at a good price and up to the high standard this guy obviously has for customer care. The driver even commented on what a good guy Jarrod is. It felt almost like a friend had surprised me with a favor. I have a feeling I'll be going back to in the future.

Jarrod was extremely accommodating and patient as I worked through the evaluation (PPI), negotiation, and sale. The car was exactly as represented and all documentation and history were provided immediately upon request. Jarrod arranged a comprehensive test drive and provided his full support and attention during the test. He negotiated fairly and completed the transaction quickly. I look forward to purchasing cars from MW in the future and would recommend them without reservation. I had been in the market for a barely used upscale vehicle for some time. We had visited several dealers in the area where we live, & I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Additionally, I just hated the experience that "the deal is only good for one day" or "someone else is going to get this car if you don't buy it right now", etc. I was getting frustrated on all fronts. Then, I saw Jarrod's listing at Motorcars Washington with a vehicle that had all the specifications I was looking for. I emailed him, & he texted me back right away answering all of my questions. We then spoke over the phone. Because the dealer was about 2 hours away from where we live, I wanted to make sure we negotiated the price before I made the drive up. It was extremely easy & Jarrod provided me with a lot of additional information regarding the vehicle including about 45 pictures. I felt immediately comfortable with his responsiveness, honesty & friendliness. It was such a welcome change to what I had been dealing with. The dealership was supposed to be closed the only day we could drive up, but he came in just for us. He was just as nice & amicable in person as he had been over the phone & text. He had already completed the paperwork for us, & let us take as much time as we wanted with our car & others we saw in the dealership. When we decided we were going to buy the vehicle we came to see, there was no long drawn out sales pitch for warranties or add ons...the paperwork literally took five minutes! He even texted us after we left that afternoon to see if we had made it back home okay & if we had any questions regarding the car. Of course I did, & he answered them right away. He treated us like old friends even though we were buying probably the least expensive car in his dealership. Next time I am in the market for a car, I will get Jarrod to look for it for me instead of the tedious dealership nightmares. I would recommend Motorcars Washington to ANYONE within 500 miles who is looking for an upscale car with a dealer you can actually trust.

Bought my 2014 Overland Cherokee from Jarrod. Great guy--- responds immediately. Gave me a great deal, was extremely flexible and went out of his way. I buy a LOT of cars ---- 8 in the last 2 years ---and i can say this is the best experience yet.
