I just purchased a FIAT 500C Pop from Shaver FIAT and all I can say is that it was the best car buying experience I had. I initially was working with Tim who worked out the deal with me. I visited several FIAT dealerships before I decided to go with Shaver FIAT. At the dealership Mike and Chris showed me the car that I have been looking at over the internet. Test drove the car and I fell in love with it. In less than an hour I was signing paperwork and got the car that I wanted. I have been telling my friends about my experience and it was great. All around awesome car buying experience, will definitely recommend and buy a car from them again. Thank you Tim, Mike and Chris! Loving the FIAT 500C Pop mocha latte!

Best dealership experience ever!... since my last...
Best dealership experience ever!... since my last purchase in 2004 at a chrysler dealership. I did my research on the truck I wanted and then went online to check on dealership reviews (negative and positive) for the best dealership to deal with, thanks to all the positive reviews I decided to settled with Shaver Auto group. Also I decided to deal with Tim Ott internet sales manager because of all the positive reviews he received on this site. He was great, information overload (a plus). Tim explained everything I needed to know about the truck and helped me with the voice command and all other electronic devices before I left the lot with my new truck. Ira was in charge of the paper work in the finance department, he is a cool guy. I appreciate the fact that they kept everything straight forward. I do recommend that customers do their there research because it will save both parties a lot of time. I would definitely recommend this dealership to a friend or stranger. Most of us get a headache when it comes to dealing with a big purchase and especially with a car dealership but this was done right so a big thanks to Tim Ott and Ira Dauer.

I was able to get EP pricing so the pricing was not hard....
I was able to get EP pricing so the pricing was not hard. I had interacted with Chris over e mail so when I went in I had done my research on what I wanted. He showed me the invoice and in short order we had a deal. The onlt thing was an added cost of $471 dollars. When I inquired it was $179 for nitrogen for the tires and $292 for a theft protection system. I did not want either. We knocked off the very expensive nitrogen but I ended up paying for the theft protection system. I thought it was added to the vehicle. At the end of the day I did not need to purchase that either but I did not read the small print. Actually it was large print. It said "purchase of the syatem is entirelly voluntary and is not required in order to purchase the vehicle". Chris or the woman in finance could have been much more up front about this. Other than that I was in and out in very quickly.

I give Shaver Dodge "GREAT" reviews accross the board due to multiple reasons: 1. my initial contact with a gracious salesman named Ignacious made me feel comfortable with doing business with this dealership; 2. Ignacious and then the Internet Sales Manager, Chris Arndt, teamed up to really push for the deal I was financially comfortable with and then they worked with the Finance Dept to get my deal done!; 3. Matt in the Service Dept has already gone above and beyond in explaining various service I'm entitled to AND he helped me set up the voice commands in my stereo as well as the hands-feee "U-connet" system; and last but certainly not least, the Parts Dept. Mr. Stoneman in particular not only remembers me when I call, but goes the extra mile to research information on parts for my truck. In fact, everyone in the Parts Dept @ Shaver Dodge has been excellent. I would reccommend Shaver Dodge to anyone. I compared them to the local Dodge dealership in Simi Valley, who were also very nice and cooperative, but Shaver matched, no EXCEEDED, the trade-in + cash purchase price I wanted and so a deal was happily struck! And, I love my new Dodge Ram! Thanks to everyone I dealt with at Shaver Dodge in Thousand Oaks! D. Stone

Biggest scam in county!!! We agreed to purchase a used...
Biggest scam in county!!! We agreed to purchase a used vehicle. We received a good deal. Then when finishing the paperwork- SURPRISE!!!! They tagged on the nitrogen fee of $179.00 and the Vehicle Theft fee of $292.00. I asked that they be removed, but they said that was not an option, that ALL of their vehicles have these fees. Really? Their response was that we got a good deal and these fees help make up the difference in the car price. This is the exact story other customers have noted. Unbelievable. I will be speaking to an attorney and will re-post when I get an answer. I will never buy any type of vehicle from them again. Very sad to think that this is the way a car dealership in Thousand Oaks makes their money- by being sneaky and dishonest. As a consolation, they gave us 2 free oil changes. UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! The dealer, on their own, contacted me and fixed this unfortunate series of events- repaid in full! I appreciate Sales Manager John McCann's explanation and taking time to meet and discuss. While I am concerned that this occurrence is not a fluke, I am hopeful that positive changes can be made for future customers and that Shaver will continue to be a beneficial and supportive business within the community. Thank you John.

Rude, disrespectful and arrogant. This was by far the...
Rude, disrespectful and arrogant. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I was ready to buy and they lost my sale because apparently my business is not important to them. I was told that the ridiculous deal they offered me was the best I could do and that I would have to learn for myself why I was wrong thinking I could do better. The sales manager I worked with not only lost his temper with me but actually told me that he treats all of his customers this way and that he still makes over 20 sales a week. Obviously my time and money mean absolutely nothing to him and neither does yours. He proceeded to tell me I could only get a used base model car worth around $10,000 even though I was putting $3500 down and have over $1500 in disposable monthly income. Not only did I get a fantastic deal elsewhere (Simi Valley Kirby Jeep), with amazingly friendly people, I also got a brand new car, despite what Shaver's manager said. My new Jeep is jam-packed with extras, worth over $25,000 and I got the monthly payment I wanted. So, no regrets here other than the fact that I wasted my time and energy dealing with such a cocky, rude manager at Shaver.

This was perhaps the most pleasurable car buying...
This was perhaps the most pleasurable car buying experience that I have had. Jake helped me test drive the car, and was personable and helpful. I negotiated the price with Tim, and I did so over the internet so that I could do so at my leisure. Tim was very responsive, and my only complaint is that he needs to get a better bluetooth/cellphone connection. After negotiating the price, Ira in Finance was able to get me a great interest rate on a purchase, and while I have a few days to come up with my own financing, my credit union can only beat them by $5/month. It's hardly worth the hassle.
