No pressure but also no sale
Went here looking at used cars. Found one I was interested in. I went inside with sales rep who got all my info and I made an offer on car. Waited a while for response (the typical waiting game like all dealers play). Salesman (Rod) comes back says, nope they declined your offer. AND no counter offer. He came back with the same price of the car and more add ons like tax, title, reg, etc except another $500 charge. When I questioned it he said thats a doc fee. He said thats for registering your car. I said well I'm not paying $500, I'll wait in line at the registry myself. Nope, everyone pays that and we do the registering.bla bla.bla. So at that point I made another offer that was $500 less than the price they were asking for the car to try and absorb the $500 doc fee. Absolutely NO. NO COUNTER OFFER OR NEGOTIATION WHATSOEVER. So needless to say I left. I didn't like the car so much to get raked over the hot coals. I later emailed the sales manager about my experience and NEVER GOT A REPLY. Nice way to do business. Well they didn't get my business. I'm just sorry I wasted my gas driving there from RI.

We are sorry that we couldn't come to terms. We do price the cars to value to eliminate the typical back & forth, that can limit the amount of discounting that can be done though.

Wanted a nice used Chevrolet Impala
Reached out to Rodrigo Roa, explained what we were looking for, and within days vehicle came in and I fell in love with it right away. Rod turned the deal over to Lou Bove, a real sweetheart, and very calmly, in no way pushy, took us from for sale to sold. Lou showed me all the bells and whistles of the car which makes me very comfortable driving it. Easiest buying process I have ever had!
I have bought many cars. I have had many bad experiences with car dealers as a whole from high end to low end. George Wells made my purchase of a 2019 chevy equinox the best and easiest I have ever had anywhere, period.

Best experience I've ever had at any dealership!
I have been driving for 44yrs. and have owned many new vehicles and have never had such an excellent experience in dealing with both a dealership and Sales person in my life. The Sales and Leasing Consultant I dealt with was Claudio Soares and I would an have recommended both the dealership and most importantly Claudio Soares who is both very personable and professional at his job. Be Careful buying a USED car from Herb Connolly Chevrolet
Beware buying USED cars from Herb Connelly Chevrolet in Framingham. In April 2018, I bought a car from them for my son 2008 Subaru Forester with approx 103k miles. At the time of purchase, I asked if the timing belt was ever replaced (they said yes) and I also said the brakes felt a little soft and I smelled some burning oil. They said they would check everything out and said the brakes were fine and the oil smell was from an oil change because some had spilled on the engine block. 5 months later and less than 3k miles driven, I have the car in for service at a Subaru dealer in Vermont. They proceed to tell me that the car has a slight head gasket leak and needs a new timing belt ( a $4000 repair). I skipped the repair since the car is only worth $7500 and proceeded to tell my story to Herb Connolly Chevy. I know its a high mileage car but I figured since I pointed all these potential issues out during the original negotiations I would have some recourse or at least they would do something for me. Well they did NOTHING and now my son has to drive around a ticking time bomb while we look for a new car that is more reliable. I figured I would be safer buying from a dealer. I was wrong. BE CAREFUL AND THINK TWICE ABOUT BUYING FROM HERB CONNOLLY FRAMINGHAM.

We are very sorry you feel that way. You did purchase an older high mileage vehicle nearly a year ago and were offered an extended warranty at the time of purchase. We inspect and safety check every pre-owned vehicle we sell and have the vehicle history report available for customers.
