2015 X3
I found a low mileage X3xdrive35i at the Peril dealership online. I had been looking for one locally in the metro NYC area and had no luck. We signed papers on 11/9/20 and the car was shipped a couple days later. Our salesman told us that they would handle the plates and registration in New York. I believe the price was around $450. When the temporary plate expired 30 days later and we had not received our plates and registration from NY I called the dealership and was told that due to Covid the paperwork had been mailed on December 8. I explained that driving an unregistered car in NY was a $140 to $500 fine and that I needed another temporary plate. Person I spoke to said that they couldn't do that. My wife was stopped on December 15 and given a verbal warning that if she continued to drive the car we would be fines $375. So the car sat in our garage for two weeks until the NY plates arrived. Additionally, a week after the car was delivered we paid $900 to replace a bad pinion seal on the rear differential. So much for the 100 point inspection done by Peril's service department. Cosmetically, we bought a very nice car but I cannot recommend this dealership based on the to month delay in receiving our plates and the missed pinion seal that cost us nearly a grand to replace.
