Reviews
I have used car Buick GMC to have my GMC Sierra serviced. The last time I was there in April, I was very disappointed. I brought my truck in to be repaired and they said that they could not find anything wrong. I eventually found another dealership and they repaired the problem. It was the fuel pump module. Why couldn't they find it? They told me to pick it up it, could not find the problem. When there was a problem and my battery kept getting run down. Only good thing that happened was that there was no charge.

My experience as a veteran was extremely stressful. The sales rep asked too many questions regarding SS #, passwords to ID.me, and GMC rewards for my comfort. I did not believe my information would be secured and not end up on the Dark Web. Wrote note to the General Manager who does not seem to have the time to respond to customer's concerns. All the dealership seems to be concerned about is a report going into General Motors. He doesn't seem to be concerned about the customer right in front of him. I would not recommend any veteran dealing with this dealership going forward.

We're sorry to hear you were uncomfortable with your experience. We take our customers' privacy very seriously, and ensure that our staff is professional and sensitive with our customers' personal information. If you're open to discussing this further, we would like the opportunity to speak to you about the issue. Please feel free to reach out at any time.
We do the best we can with the resources available to us to protect the personal information of our customers. We appreciate your concern and will do our best to continue safeguarding your information. If you would like to discuss his concerns with us in person, we would be happy to sit down with you.
I actually shared my concerns with both the General Manager of Garber in a detailed email which he never responded to. I also sent my concern to General Motors, they did respond to that customer complaint. My concern providing sensitive information is because it may end up on the dark web. To further demonstrate my concern I received a note today from a very public organization "Aflac" that their system was in fact breached in June 2025. Seems to me that sensitive information on many servers is having a problem with being protected. I did ask the General Manager of Garber to delete my conversation from his server. He did not see the need to even bother to respond. Sorry!
No I do not want to discuss any further as the GM has chosen not to respond to my emails describing my concerns so I do not see the value in further correspondence. You may do your best to protect customer information but so do other companies profess to do the same thing that is why so much personnel information ends up on the dark web. Delete my information from your server permanently is really the only solution because I honestly do not trust any organization can actually secure customer information.
VETERAN COMMUNITY — PLEASE BE AWARE. Extremely dishonest and frustrating experience. The salesperson was arrogant from the start and repeatedly bragged about being the “top saleswoman,” showing zero regard for my situation or the fact that this deal was done in December. We agreed on a price for the vehicle, and only after that agreement was made, the dealership removed my loyalty credits and falsely presented them as dealer savings. I later discovered that money was mine, not theirs—resulting in roughly $3,000 being taken in the dealership’s favor. On top of that, I was forced to pay for a dealer package that I explicitly stated I did not want and was told would not be added to the transaction—yet it appeared on the final paperwork anyway. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch with misleading and deceptive tactics throughout the entire process. I strongly caution anyone, especially veterans, to scrutinize every line item because what is promised verbally does not match what you ultimately sign.

Daniel, we're sorry to hear about your disappointing dealing. That's not the kind of feedback we want to be associated with our vehicles or team members. Please reach out to us so we can address this directly and work towards a solution.
Helpful Sales Associate, But Pricing Was a Dealbreaker Rachel, our Sales and Leasing Associate, was attentive, professional, and respectful of our time while we were searching for a truck. We initially planned to purchase a 2025 model, but she introduced us to a 2024 GMC Sierra that had just come off lease — low mileage, clean Carfax, and clearly well cared for by the previous owner. It was a truck I genuinely liked. That said, while we were prepared to pay cash, we were told the out-the-door price would be increased by $1,000 because we weren’t financing through the dealership. The explanation was that this charge offsets the profit the dealership would’ve received from financing — and while we understood the logic, after praying on it, we felt the move came off as a little slimy with Financing. At that point, the vehicle hadn't been detailed or inspected yet, but we had already put a $1,000 hold on it. During the wait, we continued researching and noticed that the market had a strong supply of similar 2024 GMC Sierras due to short-term leases ending. We ultimately went with a broker/concierge who helped us secure a nearly identical Sierra — same year, similar mileage — for $5,000 less out the door. While it didn’t include the step bars, bedliner protection, or cover, we’ll add those ourselves for far less than the difference (about 40% of the savings). When we received a counteroffer by text, it wasn’t even close to competitive — and at that point, the math just didn’t make sense. I do appreciate the dealership's lifetime warranty offer, but honestly, from everything I’ve read and researched about the GMC Sierra 1500, it’s built to last. Increasing profits through used cars being financed is a debatable practice — I personally don’t think it’s something you build a foundation upon. But after reading the practices talked about in the reviews, it’s clear the lens of what’s ethical or moral is in question. I hope the $1,000 refundable deposit is actually refunded to my bank account. That said — Rachel was a standout. If you do decide to shop here, ask for Rachel. She was the best part of the experience, and someone I’d gladly work with again.

I will not stay silent about my experience at this dealership it is completely wrong what they did to me. I am writing this review in the hope that it will help others avoid the frustrating, unethical, dishonest, and fraudulent experience I had at Garber Buick GMC. Unfortunately, my experience aligns with several similar customer reviews I have seen online. On Friday, March 14, 2025, I visited the dealership with my father in search of a new vehicle. I initially met with a sales representative and explained my situation, noting that I was careful about having my credit checked until I found the right deal. I made it clear that I wanted to get an estimate of the monthly payments on a truck I was interested in, with a specific down payment amount in mind. I emphasized several times that I did not want my credit to be pulled until I saw some estimates which then I would be able to make a decision. After test-driving the truck, the sales representative asked for my personal information to provide an estimate. At that very moment, he printed a piece of paper out and asked me to check over all the highlighted areas, to make sure everything was spelled correctly to sign. My dad and I immediately told him do not run my credit and He assured me that my credit would not be pulled and that the information would only be used for the purpose of providing an estimate. I trusted him and agreed to proceed with the estimate. However, after waiting for some time, the sales representative began trying to sell other vehicles to us, in which the info on those vehicles for us to look at weren’t correct as he’s telling me that the Turbo Max engine has a six cylinder so I had to look it up and show him that it’s a four-cylinder. At that point, I didn’t want to look at any other trucks because they were a complete total downgrade from the high-country Silverado that we have. So I gave instructions to only focus on getting an estimate for the truck we liked. At this point, I again reminded him that I did not want my credit pulled. He assured me once more that it had not been done. Shortly after, I received an email notification that my credit had been pulled. I immediately confronted the sales representative, who claimed that the credit check was not from their dealership because they only use GM Financial. I was told not to worry, and again he insisted to go look at other trucks so we went outside to look at other trucks, I received another notification that my credit had been checked again, this time by GM Financial. At this point, I became understandably upset and confronted the sales representative once again. He continued to deny running my credit, despite the multiple evidence in my inbox. I then spoke to the manager, explaining the situation and the multiple times I had requested that my credit not be pulled. The manager admitted that they had ran my credit, but seemed unconcerned with my concerns and no explanation for why my instructions had been ignored. The sales representative later admitted multiple times that he was at fault and takes complete and full responsibility, for having my credit pulled. The manager also said he told the sales representative he was going to pull my credit but the sales representative said that never happened. This experience was frustrating and deeply disappointing. I felt misled and ignored, blatantly lied to several times and I am now left questioning the integrity of the dealership’s practices and this can’t be legal. Also having to deal with my credit score dropping for no reason because even after all this there was never a paper given to us showing any estimates. I would strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to proceed with caution and be fully aware of their tactics regarding credit checks and customer communication. I hope this review helps others avoid the same issues I encountered.

I am sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced. I completely understand your concerns regarding the mishandling of your credit check and the lack of clear communication during the process. Your experience is certainly not what we strive for, and we apologize for the miscommunication and inconvenience you encountered. We aim to be transparent, ethical, and respectful in all of our customer interactions, especially regarding sensitive matters like credit checks. What you described does not reflect the standards we hold ourselves to, and we regret that we fell short in this instance. If there's anything further you would like to discuss, please feel free to reach out directly.
Purchased a truck from them 2 years ago and at the time of signing, Africa the sales person informed me there was an issue on car fax. She assured me it was for a front tire that hit a curb. I never buy vehicles with any dings on car fax but assured me it was just a wheel. I have the vehicle 2 years now and recently went to trade it in and was told it was in 2 accidents and had to be towed from scene! I was only furnished with 1 page of carfax showing the wheel. Now the vehicle is worth a lot less due to this, plus I was also informed it has a “potential odometer rollback”. This is the most deceitful dealership I have ever worked with. Please take your business elsewhere, you’ll be glad you did!!!

Philip, It's important for us that our customers feel they can trust the information we provide and we take allegations of deceit very seriously. As a reputable dealership, we provide our customers with a free Carfax report for pre-owned vehicle purchases. When you completed the financing paperwork for your truck, we provided a copy of the Carfax report to you, of which you signed. We do not and cannot alter a vehicle’s Carfax Report in any way. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
It is deceitful when you are shown 1 page of the car fax report. You showed me 1 page with my signature, what about rest of report! I explained to my salesperson, Africa that I do not purchase vehicles with blemishes on a car fax report, but she assured me it was just a tire and rim that had been replaced as vehicle hit a curb. There is no way I would have ever purchased a vehicle that had been in 3 incidents, 2 of which the vehicle had been towed from scene! Also a few days after I purchased vehicle I had a blow out where the tread completely unraveled from tire. It damaged the inner wheel well, ripped off molding on rear quarter and mud guard. Your certified mechanic said he has never seen such a thing in 20+ years and looked like a re-tread! You folks in no way made good on this as well (Africa got me the small molding piece), but nothing else was addressed. I had to fight for a tire which they finally agreed to replace, but damage was never fixed. They also told me they had to replace rear shocks, but they replaced front shocks and not rear! Why say one thing then do another. I recently found out that rear shocks should have been replaced and the reason being is they are bent. Horrible service and stand by my comment of your dealership being deceitful and or incompetent.
They took good care and treated me very well , everything was good except my truck had a lot of Ants in it when I picked it up they may have to spray some trees or something, and the ants or still in truck

Thanks a lot that sounds good I am still trying get rid of the ants but besides that everything with the truck went well thanks:
Gus, Africa, and Jason all made the experience nice. They did not pressure me to buy and were very knowledgeable and friendly. They worked really hard to make the deal go smoothly.
