My financing experience and my online experience was great. My experience coming into the dealership picking up my car wasn’t good my car had an odor in it, and I was not made aware of that before picking up the car. I think that if the car had an odor that they couldn’t get out, you shouldn’t sell it. My service advisor is great. She has been trying to assist, but to no avail.

Communication was a bit lacking at times. Beyond that, it seems I got exactly what they advertised at the price they advertised from a very broad selection of nice vehicles. Would I return to do it again? Yep!

DO NOT PURCHASE THE MAXCARE WARRANTY. it is a total lie, the warranty has nothing to do with CarMax and is actually handled by a company called Assurant who will deny almost any warranty claim that you initiate. Disgusting scheme that CarMax should be ashamed of offering under false advertisement.

I recently attempted to purchase a car through Carmax in Mechanicsburg, the day of the appointment I was told the car was no longer available, so I went to Brandywine to get a 2018 Mazda 3 Touring with allegedly only 1790 miles only to find out after driving 120 miles from York PA that it had in fact 4080 miles. They wouldnt even say they were sorry for the lies, they just said “oops we updated the system”. The accident report reported no accidents or any issues reported, but when I got to York I took it in to the Mazda dealer to ensure all was good, well they found the rear bumper suffered damage and was replace with an aftermarket one, the front under bumper was damaged, the system had a theft activation flag and was turned off. So I decided to go with a Mazda 6 and was within the 30 day return, the Mazda 6 was located in another store, customer service setup apt to have the car replace so I went to my appointment today, my sales person was Cecil, while he was friendly and tried to be customer oriented the managers made him look like a idiot by denying any help. They wanted me to pay $199 to have the car brought to Brandywine, 90 miles. This was red flags from the start and I should have gone with the bad reviews this company have. Brandywine is one of the worse to work with. They could have done a courtesy and wave the transfer fee and save the sale, instead their greed and their persistent lies, unethical business practices are beyond. I am filing a complaint with the BBB along with 6 other customers of theirs and planning on filing a complaint with Maryland consumer department. This doesnt have to be this way, a good gesture goes a very long way. Back to Carvana, 3 cars and not a single issue! Please DO NOT use Carmax if you have a heart condition, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

The rep I worked with was very nice and helpful, unfortunately Carmax’s no haggle policy and high prices prevent the sales people from being able to work with customers. Their valuation for trade is also far lower than other dealerships and since their unwilling to workout pricing there’s no way to make up for it to complete the sale. I will never again visit a carmax when looking for a vehicle.

The staff showed me a car and got me interested in the car. They told me I was the only one looking at it. Promised me they would work on one repair and then it was mine. Another associate said the same thing and said he would call with an update, when I checked in the next day, they said they sold it. They were sneaky and deceptive. I am VERY disappointed and angry.
