Thank you management at Alamo Car Center
After shopping around multiple used car lots we decided to go with Alamo Car Center because the vehicles were the best priced and best condition ! This was the best spot out of about 15 places we visited

Highly recommend for a used Car
Highly recommend this dealership . My mechanic recommended me to them and I ended up getting a very good vehicle. It’s already been a few weeks now and I just remembered I promised the manager Travis I would leave a review because he took such good care of my wife and I.

BUYER BEWARE!
If you are in the market to buy a used car, please please please, be smarter than me and stay far away from Alamo Car Center. Three weeks ago, I purchased a 2011 Subaru Forrester with 137,000 miles on it for $7700 before taxes and fees. At the time, I checked the Kelley Blue book value and determined that this was a decent price for this vehicle in “good” condition, plus it came with a 90 day powertrain warranty (not worth the paper it’s printed on, I later found out) and a 2 year maintenance plan. The vehicle had some minor cosmetic issues, hail damage, a smashed back window, older tires and a tear in the drivers-seat’s leather upholstery. All of this was fixed or replaced, though they did leave ugly remnants of the tape that had framed the busted window. During the car buying process, I asked multiple times if the car had been inspected by their mechanic and was assured that it had. I test drove it for about 20 minutes, and the car seemed mostly fine. I wasn’t used to driving an automatic, and so even though I detected some loss of power as I drove, I trusted the salesman, Fred, when he assured me that their mechanic would look over the whole car before I bought it to make sure everything was in good working order. I wish I had gotten that in writing. On my way home from the dealership, my check engine light came on. When I got home and parked the car, I noted a slight burning smell and checked under my hood. The first thing I noticed was that everything was super clean like it had been recently washed, (red flag). The second thing I noticed was how corroded the positive terminal on my battery was. After taking my car to a Subaru dealership to get it checked out, I discovered that the vehicle needed about $7000 worth of mechanical work, none of which is covered by my warranty. The code for the check engine light was for a failed catalytic converter and it was also discovered that the cam carrier was seeping oil, two things that should have been very noticeable to a mechanic. I called the dealership to complain to the manager, Travis, and was told there was nothing he would do for me and basically that I should have expected as much from buying a used car. His only defense being that “the car ran didn’t it”?!?!?? I wish I had thought to read the reviews for this place before visiting, as it seems I am not the only person this has happened too. I suspect from how quickly my check engine light came on, and after discovering the scope and obvious age of some of the problems, that the check engine light had been cleared prior to my test driving the vehicle, but I can’t prove it. These guys are either malicious crooks or incompetent jerks, either way, I would highly recommend shopping for a car elsewhere.

Thank you for this truck
So thankful I found the dealership and this truck. This truck has treated me and my family really really good I’m driving home right now and so satisfied I remembered they asked me to leave a review if I like the vehicle. Of course I love my truck so I’m going to leave a good review where I found it here on Cars.com. They met all my expectations especially after driving the vehicle for four days now it just gets better and better I keep noticing newer options I didn’t notice before I purchased it and the gas mileage on this truck is Better than I expected.

Good experience
My wife and I came here Last week and I was very impressed with their professional service. We had already decided which vehicle we wanted to see, and contacted the dealership to arrange to see it. Even though we showed up an hour early they had the vehicle in a bay waiting for us and we were able to drive it almost as soon as we arrived. Fres and the rest of the team were great and I would definitely recommend Alamo to friends and family.

Great place to car shop !
Very clean facility, I was very impressed with all the inventory and nice layout they had to offer us. USAA was really easy to get the loan process going with this company because they are a USAA dealer. We already recommended a family and friend to go and purchase a car for their kids. Great place to stop by and shop around for a used car . They offered us a very good warranty with the vehicle as well and I was really happy with it .

Do not buy without a inspection from a MECHANIC!
Please for your safety and your kids If you have any! DO NOT BUY without a PREBUY INSPECTION MECHANIC (not theirs) present. I was sold a lemon car. 1. The Caliper was completely worn meaning at any moment It could lock my brakes and me and my kids would have been in a DEADLY accident. My brake pads were also worn and one was even put on BACKWARDS 2. My axles and struts were also worn, with worn axles your car does have the best balance meaning any potholes would cause them to pop off my tire and then again DEADLY accident for me and my kids. 3. My car horn doesn't work which NECESSARY FOR SAFETY you can't pass a car to get inspection sticker without a functioning horn the Manager Travis said YOU buy the clock spring and PAY US $100 to put it on. My children and I could have lost our lives in this vehicle because they let go off the lot NEGLIGENTLY. This goes from mechanics, sales all the way to Management, Travis. I was sold a (03/01/2019) 2007 Nissan Sentra S for $5,000 which I found out a week later had $3,000 worth of issues after getting it inspected at Pep Boys. Which means it was not WORTH its VALUE. When I reported it to the Manager Travis he said I HAD to pay THEM a PORTION to fix the car that should have never been sold like this. I had no choice but to pay $1,000. (03/22/19 to 03/23/19) The invoice they have from AUTOZONE was a total of $601.00 meaning I didn't pay a PORTION they swindled me into paying for all the repairs and labor and DIDN'T EVEN repair the horn. (03/30/19)My vehicle is leaking transmission fluid rapidly and because it wasn't on the list they don't care to repair it. I pray that the the have their license revoked so that can't endanger anyone else's lives and children. I will upload all estimates so you can see that these people operate with no conscience, respect and no moral or ethical obligation.
