We were traveling from out of town with our Sprinter
We were traveling from out of town with our Sprinter based motorhome and had a loss of power on our way to a 4th of July camping trip about 20 miles north of the dealership. We managed to turn around and slowly travel back towards Houston and Mercedes-Benz of the Woodlands for an unscheduled service call. The service writer checked to see if his Sprinter mechanic could take a quick look as there was no check engine lamp lit. About 20 minutes later the mechanic and the service writer came back and looked the vehicle over and discovered a split hose from the intercooler (engine is a 3.0L turbo diesel). After checking inventory the mechanic took the motorhome after we unhooked our towed vehicle. We took our pet that was traveling with us and went to Sonic for a cold drink and kept our pet calm. The service writer called and told us they had replaced the turbo boost hose and found no other issues. By the time we returned he was about complete with the paperwork. All told we were back on the road with all our gear and groceries in the fridge in 2 1/2 hours. What a fantastic crew. Mercedes-Benz service is the best and has always come through in our travels. We have used their services across the USA and have always been pleased with the speed and accuracy of the work. Mercedes-Benz of Clear Lake is our home dealership as we live in Angleton, TX but I would never hesitate to come back to The Woodlands for any services. I never take our 2011 Sprinter 3500 anywhere else.
