Quoted terribly!

During a visit to get a scheduled oil change, driving in, a worker noticed that my fog light was out. I requested a quote hoping to get it replaced during this visit. Perusing the internet, I prepared to get an adder of ~ $50 to the oil change bill. An associate came out and shared the repair quote, $331.44! Explaining that the entire harness required replacement. I did not get that work done. I visited a different establishment for my next oil change. The bulb cost $34.45. I will never visit Gandrud Auto again and certainly will share my story with anyone that is thinking of going there.

employee was LIVID atme for strolling in their lot

I was just strolling through their lot, looking at their cars. I was almost at the Chevy side, when a livid man came to me and yelled at me for going too fast. He told me that "people walk there", when there was no one there. I could tell he worked at Nissan because he had a vest on that listed all three dealers and when he was done yelling at me he walked away towards Nissan. He said "you don't belong there anymore", so im gonna go take my business at Dorsch Ford and Kia or Bergstrom Subaru and Mazda.

Leased Nissan

Buying a brand new vehicle.

Excellent experience. Salesman Johnny did an excellent job and did 2 follow ups after the fact. That's above and beyond the ordinary. Thanks for the service.

Horrible experience

Gandrud Nissan- Service We had service done with them and were told it would be $1,600 to make the repairs. We hesitated at first due to the high cost but agreed to have the repair work done when they insured us this would take care of the issue. After picking the vehicle up and paying the repair bill, we made it less than a ½ mile down the road before the car broke down again with the exact same problem. They were unable to help us get the car back to the shop and we were forced to find our own tow truck. After claiming to look at the car all day the next day with their most experienced technician, we were told they had no idea what was wrong with the car. To make matters worse, they could no longer start the car. They justified the previous repair work by telling us they were just reading what the sensors were telling them and making their best guess. Their $1,600 best guess left us with a car that would no longer start, this was worse than when we originally brought the car in and after we spent nearly $1,600 in repairs. Gandrud Nissan- Sales We went to buy a vehicle. It was the worst experience ever. We were very open to what we needed in our vehicle. We have a son with special needs that has a wheelchair and lots of medical equipment. We needed an SUV with a third seat so we can have the extra room. The salesperson brought up the first one, we went to try our son’s wheelchair. The wheelchair didn’t fit, he then told me to just lay the wheelchair on its side and push it in. This way it will fit and we can go finalize the sale, after all, we can always leave his wheelchair at home. It was the worst experience we had looking for vehicles. We understand that we were in a unique situation needing room for a wheelchair but telling us to put our son and his wheelchair in sideways or to leave our son at home was unprofessional and ridiculous.

Lost a customer for sure.

Buyer beware!!! This review will be based on not only this dealer location but also the Gandrud on west mason as they go hand in hand. Went to west mason dealership to look at a used vehicle. Test drove a few and ended up purchasing a 2015 Altima with 73,000 miles on it. After about 2.5 months and only 8000 miles there was water damage to the car due to the heavy rains we had. Had vehicle towed to Gandrud Nissan on Auto plaza E Green Bay. The service guy told me to have it towed there which was a Tuesday and they would take A look at the vehicle and see how much water damage was done. The car was towed And I heard from the service department that they would get to the vehicle probably Wednesday. On Wednesday received a phone call stating that it would be Thursday before they could look at it and asked if I had filed an insurance claim yet. I stated no at that time to make sure that it was worth it if it was going to be more than my deductible. Thursday came got a call stating that they might be able to Take a look at the car Friday but more than likely it would be Monday of the following week but not to worry because the car windows were down in the vehicle was drying out from all the water. On Friday received a call stating they actually did get the vehicle in and by the way we heard from your insurance adjuster and he will be here Tuesday. So let's see because now there's an insurance claim,They then had time to look at the car. Tuesday came I heard from the insurance adjuster and also the service department that they were going to take out all the seats the carpet and the - to dry the vehicle out and it would take a few days but rest assured there was nothing else wrong with the vehicle because the water never hit anything underneath the hood. However I made it clear to him that the car was in water up over the headlights therefore the water had to have touch something underneath the hood. I asked if they test drove it he stated yes from the parking lot into their service department at which I told him that he needed to drive it further because there was a specific noise that didn't happen prior and that was our concern and that was why we had the vehicle towed to not do any more damage to the car. I was informed by the service guy Jeff that he Would test drive a vehicle again around the parking lot and I stated no he had to test drive it Further, at which he seemed frustrated but eventually agreed. A few days passed and I called for an update on the car and also asked about if they heard the noise and they stated that no there was nothing wrong with the vehicle other than it needed to be dried out the test drive was clear. Now it's the next week I call again for another update At which I was told the vehicle is still drying Out and when it was put back together we be able to pick up the car at that time. Received another call from the manager on Friday stating that the car would be ready for pick up later that night mind you it's been Over 2 weeks now. We then received a call that Friday stating that unfortunately we could not pick up the vehicle due to the computer reading a transmission code stating the transmission needed to be fully replaced at this time. I questioned this due to the multiple times they stated they test drove the vehicle with no issues whatsoever and stated the only thing needed to be done was it to be dried out from the water. I asked them how this was possible that the code was reading now but wasn't for us prior to the water and/or on all the test Drives they had performed themselves on the vehicle. At that point they could not give me an answer and stated that it was impossible for water to get into the transmission and had to wait for insurance company to let them know what we should do.. Please keep in mind I have been in contact with the insurance company throughout this entire process as well. The insurance adjuster called me stating that gandrud would have to pull the transmission Pan in order to see if any water was in the transmission fluid. At which point I stated the vehicle has been there over 3 week and they finally are pulling it now?? I gave permission to do so and I was told it would be done that next morning. I said it better being seeing you had my car now for 3 weeks Which was unacceptable. The next morning came and gone so I called again to speak to manager which informed that the technician who was working on the vehicle had another vehicle tore apart from the day before that came in and mine would have to wait. I stated that was unacceptable!! I Told the manager that they have until 1:30 p.m. that day which the current time was noon when I was talking to him, to get the Pan polled which should only take less than 10 minutes seeing a full transmission flush takes less than an hour and a 1/2.. The manager said he would have it done by 1:00 p.m. and would let me know. I did receive a call from the manager at 1:00 p.m. stating that in fact there was no water in the transmission fluid and that unfortunately the insurance company would not be paying for the transmission and that the transmission was not functioning correctly prior to us bringing the vehicle in due to the water damage. Mind you the car was just purchased <3 months ago from west mason dealership never had a transmission problem or an issue with it until I got into the hands of gandrud on the East Side.. I asked them how this was possible when there was no issues and if it wasn't water damage how did the transmission take a crap after they had it and less than 8000 miles after we purchased it???. They assured me that they had nothing to do with it and that there had to have been an issue prior, which again there was not or we would have brought the vehicle in to get it looked at especially because it was a 2015 and we just bought it, who wouldn't right? So the Question lies what happened to the transmission from the time they got the car in their hands at Gandrud on East Side of Green Bay to the time we were supposed to pick it up.? They said we did nothing to the Vehicle and that we technically aren't saying that you had problems (not what was previously stated to us) prior but we know we didn't do anything to it And that water was not the cause of the issue. So I stated then I guess your dealership on West Mason sold us a car that had issues At which he replied nothing. I told them that they will no longer touched the vehicle and that I will have it told to a different on a mechanic shop to change the transmission because I would not give them any of my money. Mind you from start to finish their customer service with me was terrible not sure if it was because I was a woman or what but the worst I have ever experienced. So yes much of this review is based on the service at the East Side location but needed to be said here too so you will think twice About buying a vehicle from wedt mason dealership and/or having service done at this dealership. And yes we were offered an extended warranty on the vehicle to be added to the monthly payments however That warranty agreement added quite a bit of money to the minimum monthly payment, and who would have thought a 2015 vehicles transmission would go to crap that fast especially coming from a reputable Dealership so I thought and that was a good reason why we bought from them. Yes I understand things go wrong with used cars but that fast after purchase and that type of repair is just crazy and unacceptable in most people's eyes. I also contact Nissan themselves and they said " Sorry we will not help you with this at all and you are more or less on your own as you are out of warranty." I asked why They didn't do a full recall and replaced the transmission in the 2013 to 15 Altimas that they knew had bad transmissions. She again said sorry but we will not assist In anyway.. For a huge company you'd think they want to make this right at with least a little help... nope.. So in the future i will not purchase a nissan vehicle. . Other dealerships and makers stand by their products and do right by their customers as I have experienced myself as well as other people, but not Nissan. What a shame! They lost me as a customer.

Dealer response

Stacey, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings regarding the services following the flood damage to your vehicle. It was unfortunate that your vehicle was in the wrong place at the wrong time, resulting in water damage. When a vehicle is inspected by an insurance adjuster, all following repairs are at the discretion of the insurance company. The insurance company informs us of the repairs they authorize, and we are bound to abide by their instructions. Gandrud Nissan did speak to your insurance company, on your behalf, requesting further diagnosis of the transmission. We clearly stated to the insurance company that the vehicle ran, without any issues or concerns prior to the flood damage. Our request was denied. Our opinion was, and still is, that the transmission could have failed due to the flood damage on your vehicle. Gandrud Nissan is a reputable company, based on values and the philosophy of Honesty and Integrity. We abide by the legal standards of our relationship with insurance companies and when warranted we speak up on behalf of our customers. We regret that your insurance company did not feel this repair was due to flooding.
