I am incredibly frustrated with my experience here. They are committing fraud by breaking our signed 'We Owe' contract, which explicitly stated they would provide an undercoating for my truck. First, staff members Rylie Josey Floor Manager and Colby Cooper Sales Professional assured me that they handle undercoating in-house. When I confronted them about the poor quality, the Floor manager openly admitted they did a bad job—and then I found out from other staff River Hering Sales Professional and Cris Tapia Sales Professional that they actually do not even do undercoatings in-house. Because the first attempt was done so improperly and the stories kept changing, I refused to let them redo it. Failing to honor a legally binding contract, lying about their capabilities, and committing fraud is completely unacceptable. Also Colby Cooper was being argumentative with me about not wanting to change the front brakes an rotors when I told him they are bad he stated “well let’s just fix the front” knowing that the rear are worse and wanting me to leave the the lot with an unsafe vehicle. Avoid this dealership at all costs."

Beware: Grand Valley Auto Sales – Unsafe vehicles, no accountability. I purchased a vehicle from Grand Valley Auto Sales in Grand Junction, CO. Three months later, while driving home from Denver Children’s Hospital with my wife and our three young children (ages 6 months, 4, 5) the rear passenger-side tire completely fell off. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured—but the potential for tragedy was very real. When I contacted Grand Valley Auto to request they inspect and repair this clearly unsafe defect, they flatly refused to assist or cover any costs. Their refusal came after they sold this vehicle without a valid safety inspection and evidently without ensuring that tires—even basic safety items—were roadworthy from the start. This is not an isolated type of experience. Multiple online reviews document similar problems: one customer reported a sudden blowout on I‑70 caused by tires from 2009 worn to the cords, and the dealer offered no real support—even when customers threatened legal action Others describe deceptive sales tactics, failure to repair agreed-upon issues, and selling vehicles without basic safety guarantees . Despite the dealer’s claim that “each vehicle is inspected and reconditioned on site by certified ASE mechanics”, the reality clearly differs: vehicles are sold presumably “as-is”, sometimes with life-threatening defects. They do not honor warranty commitments or follow through on promised fixes—shifting all risk to buyers once the sale closes. If you are in the market for a used vehicle in Colorado, do not buy from Grand Valley Auto unless you plan to: Have a comprehensive independent safety inspection before purchase, Be prepared to cover major repairs yourself, Accept that the dealership may wash their hands regardless of safety concerns. I am issuing this 1‑star review to caution others: Grand Valley Auto will sell vehicles that are unsafe to drive, and refuse responsibility for any post-sale safety failures. There's too much at stake—especially when children are involved.

Because 1 star is too much! **Do NOT trust Grand Valley Auto, David, or Hank!** Worst experience I’ve ever had with a car dealership. These guys are absolutely unprofessional, and I’m convinced their whole business is built on lies and shady practices. David and Hank are masters of deception—they'll say whatever they need to, just to get you to sign the papers. They don’t disclose proper details about the vehicles, or the loans, and it’s clear they have no problem bending (or breaking) the law to make a sale. Hank is worthless incompetent piece of trash who has no business outside of Mesa county jail. Unless it’s 6ft under or ashes in a box. Anything that comes out of his mouth is stupid, a lie or both. David is no better. The only difference is David can’t get enough lies out because he’s too busy blowing Hank. How this business is still standing is beyond me. Their vehicles leak oil ruining the soil underneath, or it’s washed into local canals killing local wildlife and property surrounding it. DUMPING OIL IS ILLEGAL! Do yourself a favor don’t walk away, RUN.

Worst experience buying a car I've had! Took 2 weeks to replace a window and when I went to pick the car up, they didn't bother to wash it! The inside detail was awful. Who ever "cleaned" it, used the same rag from the seats on the windows! There was a slimey film on everything on the inside. When I started the car it was so low on gas it was spitting and sputtering. The generous salesman was kind enough to put a 1/4 tank of gas in it. Only after I refused to get stranded in the car! I will NEVER PURCHASE a vehicle from this place again!

Purchased a 2010 Dodge Ram from this dealership with the following experience: Got pre-approval before arrival from Westlake Financial, which the dealership is partnered with, only to find out that the "numbers are just made up". I was then counter offered a ridiculous car loan option in return, doubling the APR from the pre-approval (13%), 3 more years term, and going from a $2,000 trade in to a $250 trade in (insultingly low for a trade-in that had less miles than the vehicle it was being traded in for). After I made them fully aware that this was unacceptable, was essentially bullied into continuing the process of the purchase from multiple salesman. And trust me, I'm now fully aware I should have just walked away at that point. After we worked out finances to a much better rate and term, even compared to the pre-approval (With the help of a close friend as a cosigner and his awesome bank's lending team), finally started getting everything ready to close on the vehicle. The only issue I had with vehicle at this time was a cracked windshield from side to side. I was guaranteed by multiple staff members that the windshield would be replaced by the dealership, even after purchase, since it's a safety item and usually something a dealership would not sell without doing in the first place. After closing the deal, found out from the salesman, Tyler Erkman, that not only was the windshield cracked, but they never actually inspected the vehicle ever (which would have been nice to know before I bought the vehicle all the way). That means they never did their multi-point inspection like they were all so proud of exclaiming to potential customers looking at vehicles. After hearing this, took it immediately to a trusted mechanic, only to have a $2,000 repair bill after 2 days due to bad CV axles, practically no shock absorbers in the rear, and metal on metal pads in the rear. I would also like to point out that they never called back to replace the windshield that they promised multiple times to replace. So, at the end of the day, got a truck with $2.5k worth of repairs within the first 2 weeks of ownership, and ghosted from the dealership, even after multiple times trying to get a hold of the salesman/staff on the windshield and safety inspection they should have done. Am I at fault for a lot of this? I would say yes, because I should have had the vehicle inspected before buying the vehicle and had a pre-approval from a actual reputable bank first, however the dealership fell back on their promise to inspect every vehicle for safety issues and to replace the windshield that made the vehicle essentially illegal to drive for the first 2 weeks of ownership. In conclusion, if you do find a vehicle that you really want at this dealership, have it inspected at a third party reputable mechanic shop first to make sure that you're not buying a vehicle that's going to need a lot of repairs right out of the gate. And have them do all of the work that they promised to do before you sign the paperwork, because they will not keep their promises.

Best experience ever! The whole staff was so friendly and welcoming. A special thank you goes to our salesman Tyler who went beyond the call of duty. This young man not only put my sister Joann in her dream truck, but also walked her dog while she was busy with paperwork, lol. I highly recommend Grand Valley Auto! You guys are the best!
