Hughes Subaru

My buying experience was excellent on the Monday that we shook hands and made our agreement. I drove off the lot with a car that I love and with the feeling that I had been given a good deal. You will find a good review of my purchase on this website. It was written that day. However. after having finally received my paperwork a week later and the first payment form explaining the amount of money, that I had borrowed, I was in shock! The amount that I paid for the car was much more than what I considered was our agreement!!! I discovered that I had agreed and signed papers to purchase a protection plan for $5,175 (with a $250 Deductible). Also, $795 was added for a paint finish that I was told was on all Subarus and was always added. In our finalizing the agreed upon original deal, I do remember being told that the protection plan would add about $30 to my payment but the total cost was not mentioned. My biggest mistake was signing papers that were not complete and leaving without a document stating the total cost of the vehicle. I am recently widowed and I know that I should have been wiser. I learned a lot!!! Just beware of very nice people who will be deceptive.

I feel that Hughes Subaru treated me fairly and with integrity in the purchase of my new Subaru Forester. There was no pressure…just guidance and help in getting exactly what I needed. I highly recommend them!
