We had a very positive experience purchasing a vehicle

We had a very positive experience purchasing a vehicle from Hughes Subaru. Working with our sales representative, Richard, we were able to get everything done prior to going to the dealership to test drive the vehicle. Richard was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The entire purchase experience went very well and quickly. I would highly recommend Richard and Hughes Subaru.

Kelly Wells was wonderful.

They're kind,professional, easy to work with.

They're kind,professional, easy to work with. No games. They are the best. I would give them ten stars. They want you to love your Subaru. It was the best car buyer experience that I have ever had and I am in my 60's.

Worked with David Wood who was very knowledgeable

Worked with David Wood who was very knowledgeable professional and customer oriented. I would highly recommend working with him. The sales manager however was pushy and if David had not been so good, we would not have purchased a car.

On 8/13/25, I took my 2017 Subaru Outback 3.

On 8/13/25, I took my 2017 Subaru Outback 3.6L to Hughes Subaru in Athens GA for service. My 2017 Outback needed a new left rear wheel hub bearing and new rear brake pads. I also requested that Hughes Subaru perform a full synthetic oil change. Full synthetic oil was clearly specified in writing on the service order. My Service Advisor at Hughes Subaru was Luis “Enrique” Barrueta. Previous oil changes had been performed by Gwinnett Subaru in Duluth GA using full synthetic oil with no issues. Upon completion of service, I reviewed the bill with Enrique and was surprised to see that the service performed stated that a conventional oil change was performed (in addition to the other items). Naturally I questioned Enrique as to why they did a conventional oil change when the service order clearly stated full synthetic oil. Enrique then claimed that Hughes Subaru does not use full synthetic oil in the 3.6 liter, six-cylinder engine because it was only designed to use conventional oil. Up until that time, no one informed me that they were going to substitute a conventional oil change for the full synthetic oil change that was requested. I proceeded to pay the total bill for service. After getting in my Outback to leave, I checked the Owner’s Manual for my 2017 Outback that I keep in my glove compartment to verify whether what I had been told was truthful. On page 12-6 under 3.6L models it states: “Your vehicle is designed to use 5W-30 conventional motor oil, however 5W-30 synthetic may be used for optimum engine performance.” I then went back into the service department to show Enrique what I found in my Owner’s Manual. Enrique went to talk to someone else and returned several minutes later. He then said that although the service bill said conventional oil was used, they supposedly used a conventional synthetic oil blend but if I wanted a full synthetic oil change, it would now cost me more money (and time) to have them do what was originally requested. I was out of time and patience and had to leave but I can no longer trust Hughes Subaru Service to perform even a simple oil change or to communicate accurate information to their customers.

Knowledgeable, no pressure ,.

Knowledgeable, no pressure ,.Do (sales associate) was very helpful bringing the two cars was I considering side by side for comparison. David ( finance) was great to deal with and made the process easy.This was the best car buying experience I have had.
