Bait and Switch was very much my experience.
Bait and Switch was very much my experience. They list the price of the car on their website, cars.com, car guru's and car fax. But this price is not the price they give you, it's usually about 20% higher. They serviced the car before I came to view it and then, they want me to pay for the service at a price that was twice that at a normal mechanic. If you go to them, get the out the door price as the first thing & then you won't waste time like I did.

The dealer tried jumping the price on the vehicle an extra $4k since I wasnt financing with them and my trade didnt meet their requirements (under 100k miles, and under 10yrs old) initially saying the truck was listed just over $24k and is now telling me its over $29k since I didnt wanna work with them on my trade or financing.

Hey there—thanks for calling this out, and I’m sorry for the frustration. To clarify: we didn’t present a final, out-the-door price. Our website shows a live market price and also lists conditional savings (for example: financing with us or trades that meet certain guidelines). If those conditions don’t apply, those specific discounts can’t be used—so the working number can appear higher than the “with-incentives” figure you may have seen online. That’s not a price jump; it’s the difference between market price and conditional incentives. On trades: the “under 100k miles / under 10 years” note is a guideline, not a hard stop. We’re happy to appraise any vehicle, and values depend on year, miles, condition, and current market. We finalize pricing only after you’ve driven the vehicle and like it, and after we’ve confirmed the deal structure. At that point you’ll get an itemized purchase agreement with everything spelled out—no surprises. Ernie Terry, General Manager Phone: 816-598-1286

I went to MAG in hopes of getting an upgrade but when I got there I quickly realized why they have a poor dealer rating. The salesman tried raising the price on the vehicle after the test drive. The truck still had animal hair, and food wrappers in it. I mentioned my concerns to both the salesman and manager and was assured that these issues would be taken care of but when they took the truck away to get it cleaned, thats when they increased the price. I showed them multiple ads for it at the original price and I was told that those prices online were a mistake.

On 9/30/25 I went to MAG Automotive Group in Blue Springs, MO and had one of the worst dealership experiences I’ve ever seen. Danny Tucker, the salesperson, was immediately rude, dismissive, and flat-out hostile. Instead of answering basic questions about financing and my trade-in, he made the process more stressful and combative. When I asked for help from management, Chance Myers, the sales manager, was no better. He was also hostile at first. Later he tried to make up for it with some bullsht*, which I ended up passing on. It’s clear this dealership has no understanding of customer service or respect for the people walking through their doors. I left with zero trust in this dealership and will never return. If you value professionalism, honesty, or even basic respect, stay far away from MAG Automotive Group. There are many better dealerships in Kansas City that actually put the customer first — this one does not.

We drove two hours to go and see a car listed at $15,180, when we got there to our surprise, they said the price could raise up to $18,000. On top of that, the car had scratches and smelled like cigarettes. Horrible experience all around. I would suggest anybody to be very cautious when doing businesses with this dealer.

Please, for the love of god, take your money elsewhere.
Please, for the love of god, take your money elsewhere. They sold me a vehicle that appeared in good condition until the transmission failed 2 weeks later. They offered 50% liability for the cost and replaced the transmission. Only took them 2 MONTHS!!! They continuously made excuses for why it was not done every week. Once I finally got my car back, the transmission was making a whistling noise, and the water pump failed the next day. They bought the vehicle back and allowed me to basically trade it in and buy another vehicle (This was the best way to go without losing more money). It was dark out, and they offered a very nice 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The unfortunate part was, it was too good to be true. They did not disclose to me that the vehicle had been in a serious collision in the past. Upon removing the front body panels, there were several missing screws and bolts, a drywall screwing holding part of the headlight assembly up, and ultimately, it was all ghetto rigged. They will deceive you and act as if they are on your side. They couldn't care less about your well-being or finances. As a full-time college student, this was the last thing I wanted to put up with. Please trust me, and go somewhere else. 8 times out of 10, the vehicle they are trying to overcharge you for is most definitely too good to be true. If you must buy from them, bring a certified mechanic. Their mechanics aren't trustworthy and can't even perform proper inspections to make sure the vehicles are safe. I did report my bad experience to the FTC, hoping others will do the same. A paper trail must be made.

After reading the reviews I am beating a dead horse here.
After reading the reviews I am beating a dead horse here. The advertised price is not the price they will give you. They added over $4,000 to the price online. That was after my downpayment was already processed. There is no dealer warranty after purchase because they know you aren’t going to catch everything wrong with the vehicle while you’re on the lot. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. The 1 star is for the service department. The only good thing about the place.

Awful experience, they kept 400$ deposit when vehicle was not as advertised. I traveled a long distance to see a vehicle and was told vehicle had options that it did not. Very poor communication from 4 different sales people.
