!! BUYER BEWARE - THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE REAL !! I visited Car World in Hawthorne after booking an appointment to see a 2021 Cadillac CT5. Upon arrival, the entire office area was dirty and unkempt. We waited about 20 minutes before a manager/receptionist finally greeted us. We asked if we could get the keys to the CT5 because the vehicle was locked and we wanted to see the interior, which is when she directed us to a salesman. He was immediately uninterested, dismissive, and spoke down to us; acting as though I didn’t know the basics of buying a car. He started yelling across the entire office at another worker to grab the keys for the CT5, which made me and my brother feel extremely uncomfortable and made the environment feel very hostile. I left to speak with the manager about his attitude. She then sent us another salesman, who refused a test drive unless we ran numbers first because per his own words "that's the way my manager works". This is unacceptable, test drives are crucial for all used cars! Both interactions were hostile and unprofessional, I left feeling disrespected and strongly advise others to steer clear.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! It's an absolute joke. Complete rip off and staff isn't on the same page. The yard isn't clean, offices smell, and the male staff is old, walking around in polyester. Ridiculous and lying mfs.

I should have checked the 1-star reviews before making the drive, because my experience matched the same pattern other customers have described. I drove 35 miles to see a vehicle advertised online with a much lower price and payment estimate. Before coming in, I had been texting with someone connected to the dealership about my situation and was told to come in because “everybody is approved.” Once I arrived, the experience changed completely. I was there for about five minutes total. Before anyone seriously reviewed my situation or even ran my credit, I was told the car was actually around $17,000 and that I would need at least $4,000 down. When I explained that I had already been texting with someone before coming in, I was told, “That’s the marketing department. They don’t know anything about sales.” That explanation does not help. If marketing is telling people to come in based on one expectation, and sales immediately gives completely different numbers, customers are the ones wasting time and gas. I understand financing depends on credit, taxes, fees, and approval. But this felt misleading from start to finish. The online listing and text conversation created one expectation, then the in-person visit became something completely different within minutes. Driving 35 miles just to be dismissed that quickly was frustrating and disrespectful. Based on my experience and the similar reviews I’m seeing now, I would strongly recommend getting the real out-the-door price, required down payment, and financing terms in writing before driving here.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. We pull up and get barked at, doesn’t even say hello. No help, just straight rudeness. Their prices in person are $8,000 over what they say online. Online prices are cash only I was told very rudely as in the background I heard a ground of salesmen celebrating about scamming people out of money for a simple car. I’d tell the FBI or police to see if what they are doing is legal. They are a car dealership and repo company they force you to buy a gps tracker that they install. Very fishy. Run from this dealership. Their website reviews are all their employees. All their cars have been in accidents or repoed. Stay away

I had a very upsetting and frustrating experience with Car World in Hawthorne. I purchased a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica from them in May 2025, and it hasn’t even been a year. Shortly after buying the vehicle, I began having serious issues and believe I was sold a lemon. After leaving a Google review, someone from Car World publicly responded telling me to call or bring the car in so they could assist me. Based on that, I followed their instructions and arranged towing using my AAA benefits to bring the car back. When I arrived, the manager, Robert, was extremely rude and dismissive. He refused to help me and said there was nothing they could do. When I told him I believed they sold me a lemon, he sarcastically responded, “No, I sold you a tomato.” I was shocked by how unprofessional and disrespectful this was. I explained that I purchased the vehicle in May 2025 and it hasn’t even been a year. He told me he didn’t care and said if I went past 30 days, that was on me. I told him no one offered me an extended warranty at the time of purchase. He responded, “Oh well, that’s your problem.” I also explained that someone from their dealership had been texting me to bring the car in and that I had the messages. He said he didn’t care, didn’t want to see them, and claimed he didn’t tell me to come. I was told someone would call me at 4:20 PM, but no one ever called. I left multiple messages and received no response. The entire interaction was humiliating. He spoke down to me in front of employees, told me to “sue me,” and said he didn’t care if I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I am currently four months pregnant and was shaking and crying from how I was treated. Instead of helping, he told me to take the car to my own mechanic, even though I was specifically told to bring it back to them. I wasted my AAA towing benefits going back and forth based on their instructions, only to be turned away and treated disrespectfully. This experience was stressful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here to be very careful and get everything in writing.

They are a total scam. Charge an anti-theft system for $2500 which make zero sense.

Rudest, most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. I offered to buy this car from out of state, since there are no photos on the website I decided to ask for a couple. This was the conversation. Dismissive and uncalled for doesn't begin to describe this. I'm glad you're so busy - but kind words are so much more important than your ego. Wish I could post the screenshots, they are appaling.

They didn’t even want to help. Only if I put 3x more for a down payment or pay a car off in cash.
