I had an amazing experience purchasing my Jeep Grand Cherokee from CarMax! Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely cared about making the process as smooth as possible. Found a car I dreamed about, but it was up in Chicagoland area, CarMax Springfield shipped the car to their store just so I could give it a test drive. My own personal car died on me the day before I could test drive it, still made it to the dealership and rode the '19 VW Arteon. Knew I needed this car, started getting my funds in order, CarMax Springfield had patience with me and even gave me succinct directions on getting the finances in order. Never would have thought of going to a CarMax to purchase a car but with their masterful assistance, I left their store on a weekend with the car I was dreaming about for weeks. I spoke with 4 representatives and even the mechanic, everyone was helpful and kind and willing to help me leave their store with the car I wanted at the price we agreed upon.

In my 60s, so I've bought lots of cars and this was the less stressful one ever. Easy to search online, reserve and have car brought to town. Then it's a very nice office where you go and test drive and there's no pressure.. Easy and fast paperwork and plates stuff. I recommend

The people were so kind, helpful, understanding, patient, funny, determined and hard working. Even a young lady (I think named Amy) who seemed to be maybe a Mechanic was about to get off work but still took the time to show me how the "remote start" worked on my new vehicle when she didn't have to but she offered as she heard me talking about it. The first time I came to Carmax in Springfield, IL...Chris was so amazing and outgoing. This time it was James and he was so patient with our confusion and questions and was determined to work with our preferences and budget. The environment and staff were so much better than Jim Xamis in Lincoln, IL. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for vehicles. Already have suggested it to friends and acquaintances who are actively looking too. I'm so thankful for Carmax.

Had done all the research and had been approved and even had my old car trade in value assessment done before walking into the dealership. I get there and come to find out that the way I did it was thru a different site(little discouraging) and had to start over, but no big deal, James helped me from start to Finish and it was a smooth transaction and fairly quick too! Literally was on my test drive within minutes of Walking in and by the time I got back was signing paperwork and was out the door and on my way. Was a great experience and appreciate all the hard work James did to seal the deal.
