I know this is late but I got a car from them since 2021. I have a lemon and I needed a car BAD. I told the owner this is what wrong with my car by my mechanic. I was told I was wrong. There is a lot more to this.

Called attempting to buy a car cash, same day. What I wanted was sold which is no problem. while trying to explain what I was looking for I was cut off and told to just go to their website. I understand if you're busy but that was inexcusable.

Was inquiring about a van, was told by the OWNER the van is here and they have 2 other similar vans, told him I was on my way would take about an hour and a half and he would call me back with more detalils and quickly got me off the off phone. He never called me back. When i finally got there the van was sold, and the 2 other vans he mentioned wouldnt even be there till possibly wednesday maybe saturday. This place is joke and will lie just to get you in the door and try and sell you a 20 year old vehicle with 189,000 and tell you its a deal

Terrible experience... Stay away Extremely rude and dishonest. Save your time and money, buy from a reputable company. Vehicle was advertised at one price, once arrived, they escalated the price $5,000.

I am active duty military, so I often get moved around and need to buy / trade a vehicle in a short timeframe. I purchased a 2005 RSX Type S from Marlin Motors a few months ago, it’s been a very sharp looking and reliable vehicle thus far. I got it a very good price as well, as this particular model of car is starting to get kind of rare and hard to find. But I managed to get one in excellent condition with a fresh paint job. See photos When I came onto the lot, the RSX caught my eye the most, but honestly the lot is very diverse with really good value vehicles. They seem to specialize in older but still strong running vehicles, I particularly noticed a lot of nice Honda’s and Toyota’s. The salespeople are friendly, knowledgeable and competent and wouldn’t mind letting you test drive every vehicle on the lot until you find the right one (speaking from experience). Owner Jeff is always reasonable in negotiations and offers fair values for trade ins / cash value if you have a car to sell (I traded in my Honda Element). I can also speak to the quality of the vehicles repairs / services they provide, , I had an A/C compressor replaced and installed for less than $500, which was less than expected and the A/C still works great. I always prefer small, locally owned used car dealerships, and I’m relatively new to the area, but Marlin Motors has earned my business and I’ll recommend them to my friends for as long as I’m stationed in Hampton Roads.

I'd never bought a car from a used car dealership before because of the infamous reputation of used car salesmen. When I found a 2007 Honda Odyssey I was interested in on Craigslist, I researched the minivan and read through many, many reviews of Marlin Motors. Afterwards, I decided to give them a chance. I was not disappointed! Wiz and Tasha were down-to-earth, friendly, helpful, and patient. There was a discrepancy on Craigslist, but the owner Jeff was fair and honorable. We had an awesome experience and we thanked God as we drove our Odyssey all the way home! I highly recommend Marlin Motors!
