We found a used car online at Rochester Car Clearance. We drove down to see it and purchased it on the spot with no hassle. They stayed open late to accommodate us and were very helpful and flexible.

I have purchased two older, high mileage vehicles from the Rochester Car Clearance Center. About 5 years ago, I bought a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan with 237,000 miles on it at an extremely reasonable price. It wasn't pretty, but for a 2nd vehicle, it was perfect for the time I had it. When my wife and I were in the market for a 4 wheel drive pickup truck after we moved to the country, we looked several places, but were drawn back here, even drove almost 100 miles to check out a 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 SuperCrew truck. It was a "Mechanic's Special", so we bought it for well under book value knowing it was going to need some TLC. The Salesman, Dave Sylwester, was honest about what had been done to the truck, (new plugs and coils, new tires, new rear brake pads and rotors, new rear ABS sensor, among other things) and why it was discounted so low and the issue it had. From the time we test drove, to going off the lot with our new to us truck was about an hour and a half. While I'm going to have to do some engine work on my truck, by the time I pay for that and the price I paid to purchase it here in the first place I am still saving a LOT of cash than if I had bought this somewhere else. I am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this truck in the winter months and for my hauling needs living out in the country. You aren't going to find brand new cars, and a lot of these vehicles do have high miles or are older, but if you are on a budget, or looking for a "farm truck", a first car for your teen driver, or a second or third vehicle and don't want to spend a lot of money, Rochester Car Clearance Center has an excellent selection of vehicles to choose from, and extremely helpful sales people to help from initial contact to the end of the sale. This is where most of the trade ins at Rochester Ford, Rochester Toyota, and Rochester Mazda end up. Give them a try if you are okay with an older or higher mileage vehicle, you may end up getting a pretty good deal and a nice vehicle out of the deal.
