Everyone was very helpful, kind and personable. I went in looking for something specific. No one was pushy about up selling me on what I was looking for. The dealer went over the car in depth so I understood the features and where everything was. Great attention to detail.

I called the dealership to speak with Cynthia Barthelemy

I called the dealership to speak with Cynthia Barthelemy who sent me a personalized video. I Jacqueline Ramlakhan told me that I couldn't speak to her & that I had work with her. I asked her if I could speak to a salesperson to discuss my purchase. Jacqueline immediately began requesting my personal information First, Last phone number. I told her I don't give that out, they could contact me via email & requested to be transferred. She refused, saying she doesn't have their direct line to transfer me. She began raising her voice & repeatedly saying maam you have to give me your info, I am the internet sales manager, maam this & that. I hung up & emailed Cynthia but Jacqueline responded that she will have her VIP Sales manager contact me & again requested my phone number. I told her she asks too much personal info & I won't be dealing with her & would contact the corporate office. Kathy Cooper her manager emails me that she was told I want to work with onsite sales team. I told her that is not true & if Jacqueline listened instead of trying to overtalk me she'd know I was interested in online sales. Pamela Harmon sales consultant contacts me next. I tell her the specific car I want & ask about pricing & inventory. Pam proceeds to tell me there are 2 "premium" versions 13 & 14 I asked for clarification. She tells me that the 13 is basically what every dealership including hers describes as the BASE which isn't what I asked for. I've spoken to several dealers & a corporate representative & no one has heard of a "Premium Base", it's just a Base. I feel like this is just another way to antagonize & deceive me. It's frustrating to purchase a car as a woman & more so as a person of color because no matter how much research you've done nor how educated you are everyone at the dealership even women & people of color proceed to talk at & over you during negations like your dumb. When actually they are the dumb ones to antagonize & email potential customers after they've specifically asked them not to, put misleading & misguiding information in writing & verbally harass you on the phone not knowing whether you are calling from a recorded line. For all the DEI initiatives these big corporations like Subaru have the experience at the actual dealership level is still extremely sexist & racist. The thing is if Jacqueline is the Internet Sales Manager than she could've provided me with inventory & pricing information instead of demanding that I provide my last name & phone number before doing so. This is a dealership that clearly has no interest in my business. As there was no trust nor rapport built during the initial communications, I certainly won't be purchasing a vehicle there. I would NOT recommend this dealership. DISHONEST & LACKS TRANSPARENCY.
