DISHONORABLE sums up the ethos and tactics of sales reps

DISHONORABLE sums up the ethos and tactics of sales reps and “managers”. Waited 5 weeks for new vehicle to arrive. Out the door price for VIN with defined specs agreed, deposit paid and multiple levels of validation performed (email, text, in person). YET the day of sale, a “manager” interjects himself into process, jacks up the sale price, while the sales rep remains mute and shrugs shoulders. We walked and only regret wasting time and effort here. Dealers and staff who practice these tactics tarnish Toyota’s reputation. Be warned and stay clear.

Worst experience buying a car in my life, and we've owned

Worst experience buying a car in my life, and we've owned 25+. First, they tried to lie to us to pay for certification, when the car we were buying was clearly listed as Certified Gold. They said "Certified Gold" means that the car CAN be certified, not that it IS certified. Bush league scammers. Second, the so-called "Certified Gold" Toyota came without floor mats, as if you were buying a used Hyundai from Joey's Used Cars. Third, the car came with only one key fob... Yes, a Certified Gold Toyota. They said the "key guy" is not there, he only comes once or twice a week, so we have to make the two-hour trip to Yonkers to meet him at his convenience. At this point we were ready to pay for programming ourselves if we had the fob and I begged them to ship it to us. Three people promised to mail the key fob, we still don't have it. We bought the car in November of 2024. Here we are, May of 2025, still no key. Great customer service, Westchester Toyota. Stay away, people.

As I've said already in my initial review, I already spoke with Jenry Castillo. Nothing changed, although he promised and swore up and down that he will mail me the key. If he "wants to make things right", let him call me. You already have my number, as you keep bugging me for service appointments. The deal is registered under my wife, Silvia Teklu. If you're really serious, you make the call.

We had the pleasure of working with Ricardo to test drive

We had the pleasure of working with Ricardo to test drive and purchase a certified used 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid Limited with low 22K mileage. Ricardo was very knowledgeable and accommodating, gave us a thorough review of the car's maintenance and Carfax history, a thorough look-over of the car's features, and a good test drive. Once back inside Ricardo and other Toyota staff worked with us to secure financing and all NJ DMV paperwork and we drove away with our new vehicle. We're very pleased with how everything turned out and highly recommend Ricardo for his professionalism and calm demeanor through what can sometimes be a difficult process. Our experience was excellent. Our apologies, the woman we worked with in financing was also phenomenal but her name escapes us. She was also a five-star rating! The time from start to finish was longer than expected, but that was due to getting through the NJ DMV points requirements.
