We purchased a 2011 Subaru Legacy from Pine Auto Sales on 10/26/2020 . We found the car on cars.com. The salesman Devin assured us what a great deal it was. He said he never had a cleaner and nicer car on the lot. We traveled three hours from Sunbury Pa to Grove City Pa to purchase the car from them that day. During the transaction I asked for the Carfax on the car which Devin had reassured me over the phone would be waiting for us. He assured me that he would email it to me. At the notary the salesman said that we had thirty days, if anything was wrong to contact him and he would make it right. My wife drove the car home and upon pulling the car into the garage we smelled burnt oil. The next day 10/27/2020 I contacted the salesman by text, because they did not answer or return our calls. No response. We waited until 10/29/2020 thinking maybe they were unavailable. On 10/29/2020 I called and left a message. Again no response. By then I contacted the owner Dennis. I spoke with him and explained what was going on. Dennis, the owner told me to take it to the shop and have it looked at and he would reimburse us for the repairs. So, we took the car to the shop that day. They looked it over and told me that an oil control valve was smashed causing an oil leak and that someone had the power steering line off and had lost an o ring. Theyput it back together with the o ring missing. This caused a power steering fluid leak. The shop had time to fix it and recommended that they do it. So we agreed to get it fixed since we were promised a reimbursement. The repair shop took care of the recalls as well. The total cost for the repair of the fluid leaks was $ 353.54. The shop kept the car overnight cause the o ring was not in stock. They had to overnight it. My wife picked the car up the next day 10/30/2020. That same day I took pictures of the bill, sent it to the owner in a text along with another request for a Carfax. The salesman called my wife on 10/31/2020 am and told her that the owner of the dealership had some missed calls and to please return the calls for him. He assured my wife that a check for the full amount of the repair would be issued and sent out. At this time he also told her he would send a picture of the check. By Tuesday 11/3/2020 we still had not received a copy of the check or confirmation that one was issued. She then called again and spoke to the owner who was very rude, but ensured her a check would be issued and mailed. On 11/12/2020 I called the owner since we never received the check. Again no answer, I left him a message asking about the payment and telling that I would be reporting his business. I also tried to contact the salesman right after. He rejected my call. Yes we bought this vehicle as is and signed the form, but upon calling the dealership we were assured that they would make things right, told us to get an estimate and that they would reimburse us for the repair cost.
