Hi first-time buyer here, and this was honestly one of the WORST experiences I’ve ever had with a dealership. I was interested in a 2022 Mazda3 Hatchback listed for around $18,995. I was excited because it seemed like a great deal. While looking through the photos online, I noticed what looked like dents on the passenger side even though the CarFax was clean. I contacted the dealership before making the drive and specifically asked about it. I was told it was “just a glare” and there were no dents. I asked multiple times for updated photos and never got them. I got left on read. Even though I continued searching elsewhere, this car stayed on my mind, so my boyfriend and I decided to drive there and see it in person. Obviously it was dented. The staff then told us the car was going to the body shop and said to come back the following week once it was repaired. We came back and Andy became our salesperson. He told us the car had JUST gone to the body shop that morning and should be ready by Friday. I gave him my number and he said I’d be the first person he contacted. Friday comes and he texts me saying it’s still in the shop. Fine. Saturday comes, nothing. I texted asking if I could put a deposit down and got ignored. I called the dealership and got transferred to Andy with no answer. Sunday, nothing. Monday was Memorial Day so understandable. Tuesday comes and my boyfriend calls, and they gave him attitude and promised someone would contact me that afternoon. Nothing again. By Wednesday I was honestly frustrated, and just wanted basic communication. I texted AGAIN asking for an update and still got ignored. So I had my friend pretend to be interested in the car, and suddenly they told her to come by at 5 PM because the car was ready and available. Funny enough, Andy texted me literally a minute later saying the car was finally back but there was “another deal” pending. At that point I already felt played. I go in and Andy admits the car had actually been back since Tuesday. We finally go look at it. The car looked fine after repairs, whatever. Then we sit down for numbers. Mind you, the car was originally listed at $18,995. While I was waiting around for updates, they quietly raised it online to $19,995. Then he comes back with financing numbers close to $28,000. I genuinely thought he was joking. There were over $6,000 in dealer fees and add-ons. Around $3k for theft-related add-ons and another huge amount in dealer/doc fees. Absolutely insane. When I reacted shocked, he says, “Well you didn’t even negotiate.” So I said okay, around $21k. He disappears and comes back with around $24,500 acting like he gave me the deal of the century. Then proceeds to tell me someone else supposedly wanted the car for $26k and already had insurance on it. Mind you a new 2022 Mazda 3 hatchback goes for $28,700. The whole experience felt manipulative, exhausting, and incredibly disrespectful especially as a first-time buyer trying to do things responsibly. Bad communication, misleading pricing, hidden fees, and pressure tactics from start to finish. Please do your research before coming here because the advertised price is clearly nowhere near what they actually expect you to pay.

Terrible they don’t answer their phone or emails. They don’t want to give you an out the door price just a horrific shopping experience.

What an awful dealership. I didn't have a buying experience because they never returned my calls. I was supposed to have a car shipped, and all I needed was a routing number so I could wire the money. The sale was a done deal, but Ashley never called me back, and neither did the manager. How absolutely stupid is that.

I wrote this to you privately in answer to your private response. You did totally miss the mark but I would love to talk to your team so you know where it all went wrong and so you can change it for next time. Everything that went wrong was avoidable from the get go. Now I got an email saying that you will update my review. That was a private message. You haven't talked to me and never did I say I would change my review. This proves further that you guys are sneaky and completely unprofessional. Do you want to know where it all went bad, I did an internet request for info and you contacted me and then went ghost. That's where it all stated. SO start there with the lack of follow through. I persisted and called Ashley and she was great at first and sent a video and pictures. Then I told her I need to gather the funds and I will do that Monday since it was Sunday. No word from her at all. So 2 days later I leave a voicemail saying that I need wiring instructions so I could BUY the car and what does she do? She ignores me. So then I call the manager cuz I still was going to give you a chance and the manager ignored me too. How does someone buy a car there?

I am sharing my experience to warn anyone considering Pristine Mitsubishi in Commack. I found a vehicle on CarGurus with the lowest market price, but after my experience, it’s clear their business model relies on deception. The False Promises: Before driving 2.5 hours to the dealership, I spoke with Kelly. I specifically asked about "bait and switch" fees because of their numerous 1-star reviews. She repeatedly assured me that the price was firm and the only additional costs would be title, registration, documentation, and taxes. She guaranteed there were no hidden fees. The Reality Check: Scheduling Disaster: I arrived for my 11:00 AM appointment with the Sales Manager, Marcus. He didn't show up until 11:50 AM and had the nerve to tell me it was "impossible" for me to have an appointment because he wasn't scheduled to work. I had to show him their own confirmation texts to prove I wasn't lying. Vehicle Condition: Despite the "clean" video they sent me, the car was in poor shape. It had a massive dent in the door, a destroyed front bumper corner, and a loud, concerning noise coming from the front passenger wheel during the test drive. The Price Jump: When we finally sat down to discuss numbers, the $19,500 price I was quoted over the phone jumped to $23,500. That is a $4,000 difference in hidden fees. Lack of Accountability: When I confronted them about wasting my time, Marcus promised to follow up. He left one message, but since then, it has been impossible to reach him. His voicemail is conveniently full, and when I reached Kelly again, she tried to blame an "automated system" for the scheduling and pricing errors. I told her clearly: Whether it is a system or a human, it is the face of the dealership. Blaming software for a 5-hour round trip of lies is unacceptable. This place is not a serious business; they lack coordination, training, and—most importantly—integrity. Verdict: They bait you with low prices to get you in the door and then hit you with thousands in fees. Save your time, your gas, and your money. Go elsewhere.

DO NOT buy from this dealership. Sleazy and dishonest. They had an Audi etron listed for a solid price. I called to get the "out the door" price and Devin, the salesman, said they would require a 2-day long battery check before selling it. The ADDITIONAL COST? $3,995.00!!!! What a joke, what a scam. I researched their reviews before contacting and the reviews were a nightmare, but i wanted to see for myself. Adding my experience to help others from making a terrible choice by doing business with these scammers.

This dealership is definitely shady, they had me signing a lot of paperwork salesman Andy gave me on interest rate & terms but when I reviewed my paperwork the next day when I got home they switched the contracts. Omar the finance manager is very shady.review your paperwork & don’t sign anything without numbers on it. I will be initiating legal action and contacting the attorney general and the Department of consumer affairs on this dealership.

Sleezy and mean. $6k of extras even after asking what their fees were. It turned an $18k hatch into a $24k hatch. They don’t have the car on the lot even after telling them we were coming to see it. Then they reached out days later to see if we bought a car yet. Insane. These sales tactics should be illegal. Stay far away.

When the time came to discuss pricing, the sales person threw in $6000 worth of fees all dealership profit. Did not include tax title registration for a car that had been sitting on their lot for 83 days and counting. Save yourself hours, Avoid this dealership atall costs.
