The sales staff was awesome, the financing individual was

The sales staff was awesome, the financing individual was a bully, condescending, and not truthful who is no longer with Subaru of Ft. Myers. After 5 months we are still fighting/waiting for a credit for add-ons that were wrongfully added to the our contract. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The credit for the wrongful add-ons was approved 3 months ago but somehow it has never reached our lien holder. Calls weekly have not resolved this nightmare. I'm not sure it will ever get resolved and I am out $5,000. Jack Woodring should be ashamed of the handling of this unfortunate event. Buyer beware!

Bad experience .

Bad experience . Took most of the day to buy a used car . Temporary tag expired on 6/25/25 . Still waiting for permanent tag on 6/17/25 . Tag office can’t help until it’s past 60 days of purchase . Our USAA credit card was hacked there when using it for part of down payment . . They spelled our name wrong on contract .many numerous crazy credit inquiries on our finances . Finance department will not answer calls or return calls . Travis whom was the finance guy conveniently doesn’t work there in less than a week of purchase . . We are being ignored ! Gordo was a good salesman; but it’s out of his control concerning finance department deceit ! Big disappointment to say the least !!

I like to buy local and have owned Subarus for over 14

I like to buy local and have owned Subarus for over 14 years. I walked into the dealership knowing what vehicle I was going to buy and had done research on the internet to bring me up to speed on the new vehicle. The salesman and I communicated several times via message, directly by phone, and email (which was difficult at best on their end). We had agreed on an “out the door price”. I called the next morning and went over all the details on the vehicle and verified that the vehicle was available. I related that I would be driving directly to the dealership and making a deposit on the vehicle. The vehicle in turn would be ready in 3-4 days. I arrived at the dealership, and my current vehicle was evaluated for a possible trade in. I signed the proposal, gave all the necessary information requested in order to purchase the vehicle. At my request, “while the paperwork was being prepared”, I was given a tour of a vehicle similar to the vehicle I was purchasing. Then I sat for hours waiting. I finally got up and stated I was going to the bathroom and if we were not going to proceed with the deal when I came back, I was walking out. When I returned I walked up to the sales desk and the salesman related that the car was not available. The sales manager related that there were several miscommunications leading to the car now not being available. I had just called an hour previously to verify the availability of the vehicle. The salesperson and the sales manager were stalling for time attempting to locate another vehicle. If staff would have been straight forward and made me aware of the problem at the first point the manager became aware the vehicle was unavailable I may have still done business with this dealership. Positives: Dealership building is new and the service waiting area is very nice and accommodating. Negatives: -Dealers Fees are the highest of any dealership I shopped (+$400.00) -Salesman did not know the product as well as I did. -Price and bargaining typical manager mill -Unorganized -Email communication dismal I did get the vehicle I was looking to buy. I went with another Subaru dealer whose communication was one third the total with Fort Myers Subaru. I also made contact with four additional dealerships with little communication to arrive at an acceptable deal. One dealership even thanked me for considering them to buy from them even though they did not get a sale. In the future I will look deeper into dealerships that deal with a Costco or Sams auto dealership program. The hassle of bargaining for the price and the dealer fees are definitely worth the effort but tiring and nerve wracking. These do not exist with Sam’s or Costco. One salesman told me the dealership will no longer be doing business through Costco because they make the profit margin so low. Please pay attention to the “dealer fees” dealership to dealership it could be hundreds of dollars.

Highly recommend Subaru of Fort Myers!

Highly recommend Subaru of Fort Myers! Very calm environment and everyone is super nice! Between our salesman Gordo, sales leader Angel, and Lucas in finance, they put together a great deal we were comfortable with. We had an enjoyable car buying experience and would rate the whole team a 10/10. Come to Subaru of Fort Myers to experience how car buying should be!

Our car buying day was the best we've ever experienced.

Our car buying day was the best we've ever experienced. Eddie Bridges or Sales Adviser was Very knowledgeable. professional yet personsable througout the entire process. He showed us exactly what we wanted starting with the Outback base model and a test drive. Not what we thought we wanted, so then a Premium Outback just the color we asked for and all the safety features we could ever need. Loved it! Bought it. EVERYONE was courteous and friendly! Finance was a breeze and easy to do. Eddie met all our expectations and more. Extremely satisfied customers and would recommend this dealership. Thank you!

I do not recommend this dealer.

I do not recommend this dealer. Specifically the finance team. I am having a bad experience with an unwanted extended warranty and advance service fees. They refused today to make it right by taking the extra fees off the loan amount before sending it to Ally Financial. My payments will be higher now. Be aware and do not leave the dealership without printed documentation with the excuse that he printer does not work. That is what happened to us. Now we have to file a formal complaint and deal with this situation. This is a waste of our time and resources. I would not recommend this dealer at all.

My daughter recently purchased her first car from Subaru

My daughter recently purchased her first car from Subaru FTM, and it’s been an absolute nightmare. She bought a 2012 Honda Civic for $9,000 cash after being pressured by the salesman, who claimed it would be sold the next day if she didn’t act fast. Less than a week later, we discovered the car is unsafe to drive. The dealership’s own mechanic confirmed that the battery is bad, the brakes are completely worn, and the alternator belt needs replacing (if it's not the transmission!) —all totaling $2,500 in repairs. When we went back to address the issues, the dealership gave us ridiculous excuses, like blaming the Florida sun for the bad battery and saying the brakes wore out because they were “after-market.” Brakes failing after one week of driving? Seriously? Even worse, they claimed they didn’t know the condition of the car because it came from another dealer. How is that an excuse to sell a defective car? Selling an unsafe vehicle to a young girl who worked for years to save for her first car is beyond unethical. To top it off, I felt that because I’m a woman, we weren’t taken seriously. Sales, Management and the mechanic dismissed my concerns with condescending excuses and showed zero accountability for selling a defective car. This dealership refuses to cover the repair costs or make things right. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They’re more interested in making a quick sale than ensuring their cars are safe or treating their customers with respect. Buyer beware!

We made a service appointment for an oil change with

We made a service appointment for an oil change with Subaru of Fort Myers for a certain time period. When we got there, we were told a 2-hour wait and that it's first-come, first-served. Why not tell us that when we made the appointment. I let them know that I was unhappy about that since we had an appointment. The service was completed within the hour after my complaint. We got home and in the next couple of days oil has been leaking onto our garage floor. I don't think we will be back, Subaru of Fort Myers.
