Customer service
Spoke to a sales rep and he didn't offer any help at all. I asked him for information On a vehicle I desired and he had nothing to give. I'm fact, he tried to sell a vehicle that they didn't even inspect so as a customer, you wouldn't know what your paying for. Bad experience.

Bad deals
I went in on Black Friday to get a vehicle I saw on their website first of all the vehicle wasn't even there it miraculous went to auction so I looked at two more cars that were on the website and it didn't look like the picture online not even close and mileage was outrageous so l finally settled on a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta it l paid cash for vehicle and it took less than 1hr to take my money but 4hrs to wash car and they didn't clean inside sale man was ready to go and so was I pitiful service dry food in glove box and Mc Donald's bags under the seat had to detail vehicle myself and found a engine oil leakage after taking it back I was told out of luck will never be back or recommended

Undercutters..
Wanted to trade my car, looked at their website inventory and saw 62 vehicles under $6000, arrived at the dealership to discover they had NONE of the vehicles! Tried to offer me $2000 for my vehicle when the LOW NADA was $3700. Left me sitting at the desk for about an hour stating that they were "appraising" my vehicle, the car never moved out of its parking spot in over an hour, they finally said they never "actually appraised" it. Save yourself time and frustration, go somewhere else.

Most unprofessional Dealership!
My son was interested in a vehicle they have for sale we called 2 times to get photos of the vehicle they told us they would send them. We never have received them and every time you call they acted very unprofessional they must not want to sell cars. Stay away find a better dealership. We are 4 hours away and wanted a vehicle they have for sale. But they are awful.

Not handicap assessable
The building is not handicap assessable. Serviced cars are parked on public street left unguarded. I do not recommend this business for people with disabilities or the elderly.

One time visit while traveling through Chicago
In October my wife and I were traveling from the West Coast to the East Coast on a month-long trip. While visiting Chicago on a rainy day my windshield wipers stopped operating. I've had this Dodge vehicle for 23 years and experienced this problem before. A plastic bushing needed to be replaced. I carry extra bushings with me just in case of this problem. I stopped into this dealership and spoke with Dave Schoenhofen (service advisor) for help. He came out to my vehicle, saw my problem, replaced the bushing, and within 15 minutes and at no charge to me had me on my way. I think how he handled my situation needed to be commented on since what he did is what makes a good service center and brings customers back. STEVE P.

Horrible experience!!
My husband and I made an hour & forty min drive to this place, and were absolutely horrified by this experience. They knew we were coming this particular day for a week prior, yet when we arrived the vehicles we had went to see and test out were absolutely horrible inside and out. There was garbage all over both of them. There was no effort made to even clean them up when they knew we were coming to see those particular vehicles. As for the dealership itself, honestly it seemed more of a hangout for local neighbors than a business. There were people just sitting around listening to music, drinking coffee, and joking around. I'm not against any of that, however, when this is a business at least conduct yourselves in a businesslike manner. There were several salesmen standing right outside the doors (that were opened, as it was a nice day) smoking cigarettes. We had an absolute awful experience and would never ever return here.

Horrible General manager
In my opinion this has to be the worst dodge dealer in the city of Chicago, if not the entire state of Illinois. Called to speak to a manager regarding a discrepancy and was rold to contact the salesman. Finally i was transferred to the general manager (Tom) who was no better. I would never puschase a vehicle from this dealer and i will be spending all of my spare time to ensure i stop as much of your future business as possible and make sure you are exposed for being in my opinion the worst car lot that i have ever purchased a vehicle from, EVER. FYI if you're looking to buy a dodge or jeep i wouldn't shop @ South Chicago Dodge, that just my opinion

They intentionally try to deceive you!
I drove over two hours to check out a couple of used vehicles they had listed on their official website. When I got there, I discovered that both vehicles had significantly more miles on them than what was listed on the website. One in particular was listed at 13,000 miles, but actually had over 57,000 miles on it! When I questioned them about it (I spoke with two salesmen, their sales manager, the internet sales manager, and the general manager), they gave me all kinds of lame excuses and tried to convince me that the vehicles were still great deals, which they weren't with so many excessive miles already on them. It's been a couple of weeks and I noticed that even though they are aware of the discrepancy, they still haven't changed the information on their website or on here. This dealership is the kind that gives car salesmen a bad name!

Good service and very friendly
I enjoyed my time at south chicago dodge they where friendly kind and they knew just what i was looking for my sales person was brandon mitchell he was nice to us told sone jokes made us feel very very comfortable while we were there had a good selection of vehicles new and used he worked hard on the best deal for me would i recommend south chicago dodge yes
