Terrible experience I absolutely would not recommend. I had Omari as my salesman, he was okay, wasn't pushy or anything. My real problems came from Robert Keelen, the finance manager. He was such so unprofessional I genuinely considered never doing any business with Mazda ever again, I've settled on just working with another Mazda dealership. In the finance faze he said they had found some "wiggle room" and could throw in a couple of protection packages, like tires/wheels, some interior protection and an extended warranty that overlapped the factory warranty and was useless. By throw in, he meant sneak it into the finance and not explain the situation at all and leave it vague. When we went to fill out the paperwork it was upside down on the computer screen, I'm assuming it's a tactic he uses often. He said go ahead and take your time and read through it, didnt wanna rush us. Mind you, it was upside down. I assumed he was trust worthy. He added almost 5k worth of crap we didnt need. I asked him to remove it and he said they would not do the deal without all of the add ons. We went back and forth multiple times. He was more persuasive at first and went with trying to sell me on protecting my investment and how much I needed the "extended warranty". Anyone can buy an extended warranty when your factory warranty is going to run out, don't finance a warranty you don't need. Eventually we just said screw it, we'll take the deal and I can cancel all the extra crap later. I called and emailed him to cancel the extended warranty and Gap ( I got a better price on Gap through my insurance). Obviously he tried to convince me to keep it all, he didn't cancel any of it and completely ignored my emails. I called the warranty company and the Gap coverage company and filled out the form on their website to cancel them, actually super easy and straight forward. Got almost all my money back so almost 5k back in two checks they sent me. If you buy anything from them, take you time and read everything, understand that the finance manager will try to bend you over a table and take you for everything you got. My recommendation would be using a company like Delivered to negotiate for you or going to a better rated mazda dealership.

By the way. Jerry the Service Manager is absolutely amazing. He was courteous and cordial. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Jerry single handedly made this the only positive part of this entire experience. I wish there were more good people in the world like Jerry. Update. I was never able to meet the owner of the dealership. I spoke with a General Sales Manager named Alex. I was informed that because of me voicing my opinion and writing a review that he mentioned that he was very reluctant to even have a conversation. He was a very back and forth and confrontational discussion. Ultimately there is no integrity or transparency at all with this dealership. They took no ownership and never informed me on the sales practice of our interaction with Omari who sold us the vehicle and forced us to write him a review before we were able to leave the dealership. I am very disappointed with the sales practice. They originally mentioned that they pride themselves on transparency. That was never a thing. Please everyone in Avondale. Please be very careful of this dealership. I have emailed you Kim multiple times. I was advised you are off I. The weekend. I will be at the dealership on Monday to personally have an extensive conversation with you. 1-Star Review for Horne Mazda Avondale / Horne Auto Group We purchased a 2020 Chevy Bolt EV from Horne Mazda Avondale, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. Shortly after purchase, we discovered a severe issue with the radiator fan, which causes the car to make a very loud, mechanical noise during cooling. Even more concerning, when the A/C is turned on, the vehicle's estimated mileage drops by 30-50 miles, which is far beyond normal and points to a major inefficiency in the cooling system. When we brought the car in for service, two failed components were confirmed during their inspection -- confirming there were multiple serious issues with the vehicle. These issues were clearly present before we purchased the vehicle and should have been flagged during their so-called 160-point inspection. Instead, they sold us the vehicle without disclosing any of these problems. Had we been told upfront, we could have made an informed decision -- either negotiated repairs into the price or walked away from a vehicle that likely has over $1,000 in hidden repairs. To make matters worse, customer service has been dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of addressing the situation responsibly, they've refused to offer any meaningful assistance or make this right. We've been left feeling misled, disappointed, and stuck with a vehicle that should have never been sold in its current condition. Transparency matters. Honesty matters. This dealership failed on both. The thing that was completely unprofessional was when we were forced to provide a 5 star review. I believe our sales person was named Omari. Please double check with your records to see who sold us the vehicle. Under the duress of pure psychological pressure he quote said I need you to complete the five star review before you leave. I need you to do it right now. I was forced while under duress to literally fill out the review right in front of him before I was even able to leave. I've talked to multiple sales people at the dealership. I understand that you have an incentive to get a five star review. But never in my life was I forced to complete a five star review before I even allowed to leave the dealership.

Thank you, Don! I truly appreciate your kind words about your experience at Horne Mazda of Avondale with Larry. It's wonderful to hear that he was able to make your car buying process enjoyable and informative. I look forward to serving you again in the future! Sincerely, Kim Yett | General Manager | [email protected]
They have had my car for 3 months to fix an ABS sensor they told me needed replaced. Three times I picked it up, all three times it still had the same exact problems (dash warning light, no functioning braking system) but also now has no brake lights. Emmanuel has absolutely no clue what he is talking about, just useless. He told me the ABS module won't work until I pay $149 for a brake flush. (Of course, I did, and that didn't fix anything.) Maria Jimenez is rude, sarcastic, and doesn't know the first thing about cars. I drove an hour, then sat for an hour waiting to speak to the GM, Kim Yett, who could not care less about my issue. He told me the brake lights worked when I drove away, implying I broke my own brake lights each of the three times as I drove it off the lot, and I must have made the warning lights come back on the dash. Today, the service manager called and told me they won't be working on my vehicle anymore, and asked where would I like it towed. I still have the exact same issue I took it in for in July, and they refuse to refund the $1,700 I paid them to fix it. Stay far, far away from this incompetent dealership.

Had agreement & written proposal to purchase new CX-50 that was in transit to the dealer. Upon arrival at the dealer 4 days later, the actual sticker MSRP was lower than what was on the proposal. They would not change the proposal MSRP to reflect the actual vehicle being delivered (nothing else had changed), and instead cancelled the deal at my request after they started changing all the numbers to try and still get that money from me another way. They tried to cheat me out of my money by presenting a fake proposal with fake MSRP numbers. Don't trust these guys!

Rick, The MSRP on the car is $43,005 and you were buying the car for over $5000 off the car. The MSRP on the car has nothing to do with what you're buying the car for. You are buying the car below what we have advertised. If you can't get the deal elsewhere, we will still honor the deal that was given to you. We appreciate the opportunity.
You are correct, the MSRP on the car is actually $43,005. Which is why it was improper for them to refuse to update the incorrect $43,404 on the proposal - PLUS changing other portions of the deal when it was ultimately corrected. MSRP has everything to do with what I'm paying - it's the first and largest number on the proposal! They refused to honor the deal that they wrote, requiring me to pay more if I wanted to proceed. The deal only contained THEIR ADVERTISED numbers for discounts, dealer add-ons, doc fee - what their initial proposal to me was. They used a higher discount to cover for the high add-ons. I do know they changed their online advertising since we came to an agreement. TrueCar says the pricing is averaging near $7k off MSRP(?) The minimal $ at issue here is not the issue, it's the integrity and trust of the dealership in fulfilling it's obligations and commitments. You need to trust those who care for your vehicle and your family within it.
Was getting ready to buy a used Lexus ES350 from this dealership. Liked Andy (general manager) and was shopping around. I eventually picked them and was 15 miles from my house. Had the check in hand but wanted to do a pre purchase inspection first. Adrian (sales rep) said, "yes" and asked to meet me at a nearby mechanic shop and then there was another text saying, "Adrian will go with you to the shop." Then, silence...then Adrian texted me and told me that I don't need to go and said, "We have certified techs here who make sure our vehicles are front line ready." Then, another salesman called me up and said, "I don't know how this went so far but we don't do that here...they (the mechanic) will always find something wrong." WELL, ISN'T THAT THE POINT? I would have liked to deal with this dealership since I liked the manager and was looking to buy a CX-5 turbo. (Lexus was my business vehicle and the CX-5 would have been my personal vehicle.) But I just can't trust a dealership that doesn't stand behind their work.

Hello, I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent visit and am pleased to know you had a positive experience with our Management Team. I would, however, like to speak with you about the level of customer service you received from our Sales Team regarding the Mazda CX-5 Turbo you were interested in purchasing. Please reach out to me when it is convenient for you so we can discuss this further. Thank you, Kim Yett General Manager [email protected] 623-254-7511
I think you totally read what you wanted to hear. I was trying to buy a used Lexus ES350 from you not a CX-5 turbo. If I was pleased with the buying experience then I would buy the CX-5 turbo later on for my personal vehicle. However, since it is your policy that you do not allow a pre purchase inspection on any used vehicle you sell and expect the buyer to totally trust your dealership, I am not buying anything from you which is a shame since I really liked your used Lexus E350 and was ready to buy contingent on passing a pre purchase inspection.
I agreed to purchase a preowned 2021 Hyundai Kona from Horne Mazda. The advertised price, $28,750. I requested a statement of the total purchase price including all fees. When the statement arrived an additional $1,128.00 fee for accessories was added with no explanation. I did not request additional accessories. All accessories should be included is the asking price. Simply put, a used car is a used car and an agreed price is for the car, as is. I cancelled my purchase.
