We were on our way to test drive a BMW X7 when we made a U-turn and went back to buy a Grand Cherokee L from John Mann instead. That's the honest short version of this review. Here's the longer one. Our first purchase at Dick Hannah Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Vancouver, WA was a Ram 1500 with John Mann, and it set a standard. So when we needed a mid-size SUV, we did our homework across GMC, Ford, Chevy and BMW first. We even had the X7 dealer call us with a price drop. But we knew that at Dick Hannah we'd be welcomed and actually helped, so we went back to John Mann. We have two senior dogs, and we needed 4WD we could trust in snow and mountain driving. John Mann came out with a tape measure and spent real time helping us load our dog crates in and out of one vehicle after another until we knew exactly what fit. Nobody else did that. As women, we've had experiences at other dealerships where the questions get answered over our heads. That never happened here. John Mann talked to us directly, answered exactly what we asked, and took our requirements seriously from the first conversation. If you've run into that elsewhere, this is the place to go. We left to go drive the X7, turned around, and bought the Grand Cherokee L. That decision came down to John Mann's customer service, his knowledge of the product, and our experience buying the Ram here. We've owned a lot of different vehicles over the years and we know what a good buying experience feels like. This was one. Coleman took care of us in finance on the Ram, and Jeff did the same on the Grand Cherokee. Both were patient, thorough, and never made us feel rushed. Every person we met here impressed us, and the selection is excellent. We didn't want to waste any more time, and we didn't have to. We bought a vehicle that works for us, from someone who listened. Usually I stay far away from corporations and dealerships. My experience has definitely changed how I feel about them. Our sales guy Bret B. was very upfront, honest and clear about all of the vehicles we were test driving, and basically spent the day touring southern Washington trying to find us the perfect car. I was in the market for a larger SUV after my 4Runner was totaled. We live out of state and were visiting family in Vancouver Wa, when we drove by a massive Dick Hannah dealer, and a Nissan Armada caught my eye. We stopped and took a quick look (after shopping around a bit) and I had made up my mind. We started searching the inventory online here at Dick Hannah Jeep, and found the same car, a year newer, my favorite car color, and a better price! We did some research, discussed and compared to other SUVs we considered, and decided on the Armada. We drove down to Dick Hannah Jeep a day later, and a wonderful gentleman named Bill was at our service within minutes! I told him what I had my eye on, he looked it up and it was at one of their other lots 20 minutes away. He drove us to it, and there she was, front and center, waiting for me! Haha! We fired it up, and Bill insisted (it didn’t take much convincing) I take it for a test drive. So I drove us back from that lot to Dick Hanna Jeep where we started (my hubby in the back, and Bill in the passenger- he only hit the imaginary brake twice -yes Bill, I saw that! 😂) and I was sold! I had to have it. Before we went inside, he had us park under the service area carport because it was dark outside, and he wanted to be sure we could inspect everything up, down and inside out. He even pointed out a couple of blemishes we didn’t see (honesty is everything!). We walked in the building where we were offered hot coffee which was perfect on a cold evening with lots of paperwork ahead, and we were welcomed by their finance team as well. We needed to finance part of the purchase and knowing we aren’t in the greatest credit situation for a car loan (my old car was totaled- this was unplanned otherwise), we shared that, and they said not to worry, we’ll figure it out! And they absolutely did!! They were able to find us a loan at a manageable interest rate (remember, not in the best credit place) and get me into my dream car I never knew I wanted!!! We had some hiccups with our personal bank throughout the process and Bill and his team were so gracious and understanding when it took a little longer than we anticipated to work out some kinks. But we did it!!! These folks at Dick Hannah Jeep are outstanding. They’re not just “car salesmen”, they’re people, with families and lives, and stories to share. We heard a few of them 😊 They have a job to do, but they’re real. That was the best part. We never felt pressured. Never felt rushed. And they were all on our side! These folks are great. We live 600 miles away (talk about a real test drive home!!) and I would travel back to Vancouver to see them for my next vehicle. Thanks again, Bill for making this unexpected, exciting, and chaotic experience a fantastic one!! We plan to stop and say hello next time we visit! I feel like we’re friends now 😆

We were very disappointed that it took 2 full weeks to get our vehicle after paying full price by check. It cannot take that long for a check to clear! It also lacked an extra key fob and the owners manual
