If you have a kid that goes to Ole Miss, DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE OR HAVE YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE! We had my son’s car towed with a diagnostic to let them know he needed a new water pump. After the car got there, they tried to quote us $4200 for a new pump - even the rep was astonished. After calling around and finding out they tried to overcharge us by $2k, I said we’d have our car towed elsewhere. It was only at that point that they refused to allow the tow truck to pick up my son’s car claiming we owed $150 for the inspection that took 5 minutes and was the same issue previously identified. And, the prior shop charged us nothing for the inspection. Then, Belk would only allow us to get the car if we went in and paid in cash so that the fee could not be disputed. I had to file a police report for the first time in my life so that I could hire an attorney on the back end. There was no verbal or written authorization approving this fee, they just got to make up whatever they wanted for a five minute assessment. The police department initially promised to accompany me to the dealer to get my car back, then allowed Belk to withhold my son’s car until we paid in cash. Seriously consider this level of craziness that you’ll encounter sending your child away at school and not even having local police support - even after the dealer could show zero evidence that I ever approved a $150 inspection fee. The police department claims it’s a civil matter, yet allowed them to withhold my car despite no work being performed. Look at ALL of these reviews saying the exact same thing, how they engage in price gouging and steal from consumers. These people are so dishonest and corrupt. I called Ford corporate and they just said they don’t have control over what the dealers charge. Be warned. You’ll be forced to pay in cash whatever amount they come up with so that you have to take legal action against them - and the local police department will do nothing to help you. File complaints with BBB, Kelly Blue Book, Consumer Protection agencies, and any other applicable agency.

Very grateful to the guys at Belk Ford. They worked well with me and clearly explained the nature of my car's situation, which made it easier for me to make tough decisions. In the end my fix was much less expensive than I had anticipated! Will return to Belk Ford for my auto needs. Thank you guys!

For short, don’t buy from them. For more details you can keep reading. Two months ago I bought a used Nissan $12,000 in cash. I took it for a test drive and everything was great, the CARFAX came out with no issues. Super nice friendly people. Then literally the same day as i got the insurance to drive off their lot the check engine light came on. Next day i called them, they said you bought it as is! Fast forward two months later the car keeps giving me trouble and Nissan dealership says it needs a new transmission $4,300! Don’t get fooled, learn from my mistake!
