I purchased my vehicle online. When I went in to pick up the vehicle (I had an appointment) I waited for over 3 hours for the "finance" dept to do the paperwork. Also the price presented was almost 5K over the price agreed to. I had to show them the emails I had confirming the price I was to pay and then they corrected their paperwork. I purchased my vehicle on Dec 10. It is now Jan 9th and my title work has not been completed. My temp tags expire tomorrow. I have contacted the dealership several times to get another set of temp tags to no avail. The state has issued a fine for me not having insurance on the vehicle I traded in and they are threatening to suspend my drivers license. The dealership says there is nothing they can do because they use a service to handle the title work. If the dealership hired them, the dealership is responsible for their performance! This was the 5th vehicle I have purchased from the First Team group, they used to be great - not anymore. This will be my last vehicle purchase from them!

On 9/17/21, I have been on the lookout for a great example of a 2017+ Toyota 86 for the past few months and saw one come for sale at my local First Team Subaru. It was a 2019 Toyota 86 TRD SE for $32,898. I sent an inquiry via TrueCar and promptly I received a call from Inda. We scheduled an appointment to come look at the car. I show up around 5 minutes early. I walk into the front door and first thing I notice is one of the sales representatives playing on his phone while others behind the desk are speaking to other customers. He initially looked at me and then went back to his phone and then around 30 seconds later I was greeted by him. I spoke and said I had an appointment to come look at the car they have for sale. He directed me to the sales manager. The manager then went on to tell me this car is hard to find and being sold at a great price. He also stated that the car is very low on mileage. I informed the sales manager while that is sort of true (as they only made 1,418 of this specific trim) that there are currently 25 other manual units for sale nationwide and that the mileage was about average. He informed me that I could go look at the car but they had just got it in as a trade in and has not been cleaned. I would only be able to take the car for a test drive around the lot. I went with the representative to look over the car and when walking over he said that the car was a local trade in for an individual that needed more room as they were having a child. Was told the owner converted the car back to stock. This was the first initial yellow flag. I proceeded to do a visual inspection. These are the problems I found: 1) Front lip has curb rash on the underside 2) Cars interior is trashed 3) Drivers side skirt needs repaired 4) Pinch welds near the jack points are bent 5) Has no battery tie down (it's a bungee cord...) 6) Missing the OEM TRD stripes 7) Interior pieces and badges are painted purple 😎 Non OEM shift boot, nor intake tube 9) Hesitates at low speed. 10) Car has door dings on both sides I went in and told them with current condition, I cannot justify the price for its age. Car was brand new $33,340. The asking price they want is $32,898 ($442 off MSRP). Thinking about it more as I am in the market for one, I decided to go look into the car's service history. Luckily Toyota has this great site for “Toyota Owners” that you can type the VIN in and see the service history. This is what I discovered..... Car was regularly serviced by Wyler Toyota in Illinois (So much for the ads “Locally owned vehicle!” quote, though it does have some local car club stickers on it). TOYOTACARE: Expired as of November 11, 2020 and this…. 7/2021 CUSTOMER STATES VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED IN. JUST BELIEVES ENGINE BLEW UP. VEHICLE WILL NOT START. STRONG SMELL OF COOLANT IN ENGINE BAY AND VISIBLE LEAK OF WHAT LOOKS LIKE OIL. CHECK AND ADVISE PLEASE. 13744 (miles) VEHICLE TOWED TO SHOP, FOUND HOLE IN BLOCK UPON INSPECTION VEHICLE THREW ROD. TOYOTA CONTACTED AND CASE OPENED CASE XXX303, VEHICLE HAS BEEN USED FOR HPDE, TOYOTA REQUESTS CUSTOMER AUTHORIZE TEAR DOWN TO DETERMINE CAUSE OF FAILURE. CUSTOMER DECLINED No mention if the car was rebuilt by Toyota or if the owner threw in a used engine. I do not know if the car still has the factory warranty or with it being branded as a HPDE if it was voided. Going into the dealership looking for a car that is $442 off the new MSRP and no mention of any of this in the ad. For those that don’t know HPDE basically means that the car was used for some form of racing. That would explain the service history and the lug nut issues. I emailed their Sale Manager, Mr. Han, but have yet gotten a response. This is not what I expect for First Team as a dealership. I sincerely hope this was just a fluke and not the normal experience and that I dodged a $33,000 mistake. VIN JF1ZNAE19K9702581

The service department says I have to rotate my tires with every oil change. I usually only have two to four thousand miles on my car when the oil changes are due. There is a cost for the tire rotation but the oil change is supposed to be free. It cost about twenty five dollars for the tire rotation and another fourth eight to change a air filter. I was told that my warranty would be void if I refused to do this maintenance. I personally think that is an awful expensive oil change. They also wanted to put additive in my gas. I absolutely refused to let them put anything in my gas.

I purchased a 2021 Subaru Outback at the end of November; the sales team was very professional and took the time to organize multiple test drives, including of vehicles that I asked about on-the-spot. Everything was very clean, and the entire team was very mindful and polite with respect to the current COVID situation. I also purchased additional parts at the time of sale and set a date in early December to have those additional parts installed. Although there was some miscommunication at the time of purchase with regards to labor/installation costs, the team at Subaru were willing to work with me to sort out my installation as a deal with my purchase of parts. A special thank you to Hugh, Brooks, Jarvis, Ray, and Dorothy! You guys went above-and-beyond at a moment's notice to get all this done! Ya'll are great! First Team continues to impress; I will be returning in the future!

I set up an appointment to test drive and purchase a car. I had to push my time back due to a forgotten obligation. Text sales person when I was on my way. When I arrived, I was informed that the car had been sold. Whoever I was texting could have relayed that the vehicle had been sold. I live an hour and a half away. A called could have been made to inform me of the sale. A waste of time and gas.

I feel the person I was talking to through email should have told me they would not be able to hold the car. The person knew everything I was trying to do. However I was able to find a better and cheaper car that don’t smell moldy!

While parked in my driveway with no trees or cars, my windshield spontaneously cracked from the driver side all the way to the passenger side. I have found this is an ongoing issues with Subaru involving a lost law suit in 2018, and a current 2019 law suit going on now. There are nearly 100 complaints on NHTSA.gov, countless articles, and forums from 2019 Subaru owners. In addition, my rear wind shield fluid doesn’t work. I have had several electronic issues including the touch screen constantly resetting, the voice activation turning on by self itself, and notification alarms going off for no reason (like obstacle in road with nothing there) just to name a few. When I went to the dealership to have them help with the windshield they were very rude and dismissive, they wouldn’t even begin to listen to me often interrupting me when I spoke and refusing to help me with my issues. They instructed me to contact Subaru directly since they won’t do anything to help me. I am beginning to wonder if I need to pursue a lemon law case or if I can actually be helped at all with these issues. I am a longtime fan of Subaru and was greatly looking forward to owning my own for the first time.

Id like to take this opportunity to thank Larry Blow for recommending the New Kia Sorrento to me. after deciding that this was the SUV for me he recommended Cherillynn Willis to assist me and she as well providing excellent customer service, very thorough answered ALL my questions, making my New car buying experience a ease. Thank you as well to Dominque, Erica the receptionist and the young man in Finance. Everyone at the dealership was so kind and hospitable. I'm really enjoying my New 2018 Kia Sorrento. I highly recommend this dealership to everyone looking to purchase a New or used car. The dealership as a whole is exceptional, clean state of the arts facility. Even the service department came out to greet us to make sure that we had nothing to worry about. The Best car buying experience Ever. Thanks Larry Blow for recommending KIA.
