Took car in for required per the lease agreement as well as warranty repairs that had to be completed. I dropped of the electric car at 80% charged. They had the car for a few days told me it was good to go. As I pulled off the lot to head home realized they had not charged the car. They left it with less than a 20% charge. I barely made it to a charger. When I called and asked why they told me it was not their policy to charge a customers car. I asked to speak with the service mgr. He did not call me back but instead had the service tech I worked with call me back and say sorry not our policy. It appears it is their policy to possibly strand a customer. HORRIBLE Service

I will start out saying we went to this dealership to buy our car. Normally sales people will come up to you and want to see if they can sell you a car. Here they acted like they did not care. We found a car we liked discussed pricing. And they did not want to budge. Their prices where more than other dealers selling the same vehicle. We left and bought the VW from a different dealership. Sadly since we live in Lexington have had to deal with them with service as well. Will write another post about that

Morgan was great. While my sale was easier than most, she did a great job in explaining the Tiguan's features, and was personable in relating her own experiences in driving one.

I would highly recommend Don Jacobs Volkswagen in Lexington, Kentucky to anyone and everyone I know. First off, this dealership was extremely busy. However, I have never been treated with such respect and kindness by any dealer I have ever dealt with but Don Jacobs Volkswagen. From Zach Gibson, to the man who went above and beyond to make this deal happen to Drake from finance and everyone in between. Everyone was exceptional. I was hesitant due to past experiences from dealerships and everyone put me at ease. Zach Gibson was our salesperson and he was absolutely awesome! There was no waiting around for him. I highly recommend this man. He came out immediately, asked what we were looking for, wanted and needed in a vehicle. There was absolutely no sales pressure from him. He is so great at his job. He explained everything he was doing throughout the entire process. He didn’t disappear for 1/2 an hour at a time, multiple times. He stayed with us for the entire process. He sat in the perspective vehicle I was looking at buying for as long as he needed and explained everything, answered all of my questions, no matter how ridiculous they sounded, which is something that has never happened with me. To the gentleman who went above and beyond to crunch numbers and make this deal happen, this gentleman truly cared, came out and spoke with us himself and was so kindhearted. I can’t thank you enough! Drake from finance was patient, made sure he explained everything and answered any and all questions, concerns and thoughts we had. He did not rush through the finance process. They treated me with respect, kindness and compassion. Everyone was so friendly, patient and helpful in anyway they could be. To everyone who had a hand in making this happen and putting my mind at ease. All I have to offer is my sincerest gratitude for treating me like a person and not just another ‘sale or number’. You are the reason we decided to do business with you. How you treat someone says so much about your dealership and the type of people you are. My experiences with dealerships has been a dreadful experience. You are the exception to this. After everything was said and done, they still offered assistance in anyway possible and told us repeatedly to contact them at anytime if we had concerns or questions. The patience, transparency, honesty, integrity, respect and kindness everyone showed was outstanding and above and beyond. Thank you for everything! Camille McClanahan

I have never had such an abysmal experience. From the employees looking down at me the instant I walked into the dealership, to the fact one of y'all pilfered the plastic vase that was in the car when I test drove it. I was embarrassed having to drive the car off the lot with the don Jacobs plate frame and card stock sign where my temporary tags *should* have been. That's another thing. I tried getting ahold of Jackson concerning my temp tag, and I never heard so much as a peep from him about it. After my mother, my father, and I called several days and got the run around, finally someone overnighted the tags. What dealership doesn't put temp tags on a car once purchased? None of the dealerships my family has bought from has done this stunt. Most recently, my mom got a car, and the very same day she drove off with it, it had temporary tags, a full tank of gas, and the car was cleaned inside and out. That is the way a Volkswagen, or any dealership, should operate. No sloppy dealership advertisement junk cluttering up the car, just a clean, fully fueled GTI. You all could learn a whole lot from Neil Huffman Volkswagen on how to prepare a car for its new owner. Also, what even slightly reputable establishment has workers just waltz around mindlessly, answering every question with "I don't know, let me go ask somebody"? I had a tally counter going for each time Jackson or another member of staff told me that. 57 times a member of staff said those damning words to me, and that's just the Saturday I was there to test drive the beetle. When I was at the dealership on March first, Jackson told me that he'd get the plastic vase replaced and mailed to me. It's the 12th. I'd call and ask how much longer I'll have to wait, but I don't want to be told "I don't know let me go ask somebody" by half of the people there. The only one who had any semblance of understanding how to do their job was an older man with glasses. He managed to talk some sense into Jackson so he'd stop standing there like a deer in headlights It's truly miraculous that y'all are still in business. I mean no ill will towards anyone, but I'm not gonna lie and say "oh I had a wonderful experience". If it wasn’t for wanting that 2009 beetle, I would have gone to literally any other dealership on the planet

Not happy with service. They spent more time pushing other services than they did to take note as to what I was there for being as though I went to have 2 keys made for my car since there is only one fee to program both! Needless to say they only made one key! Complete lack of attention to detail. The front desk people are not far off from clueless. Super unhappy and will never go back.

10/10 would NOT recommend buying anything from Don Jacobs Volkswagen!! I recently bought a 2019 Subaru Forster Touring (not a cheap vehicle- “fully loaded” model) and once I got it home and started setting up the features, realized that one didn’t work. Keep in mind that I’m a repeat Don Jacobs customer… I paid full price for the vehicle and this was never disclosed to me. I was told that the vehicle was “inspected” and worked as advertised. After taking it to Quantrell Subaru, I learned that this was NOT the case. It requires a $1000+ fix to work properly. Don Jacobs is refusing to fix it themselves OR to pay Quantrell Subaru to fix it. They told me that I purchased the car “as it” and their hands were tied. COMPLETE xxxxxxxx! I’ll never purchase anything else from them and will highly discourage anyone that I know from buying from them either. Worst customer service experience ever… it sucks getting screwed. I will certainly be contacting the BBB to inform them of this!
