Up to dealing with Melody on 4/9/26, my experience was great at CarMax. Everyone was kind, courteous and helpful. Hence why I’m a returning customer. However, Melody in service wasn’t helpful at all and was unprofessional in dealing with me as a customer. She assumed I knew her protocol in handling my case land did not communicate her actions until I reached out to get an update. This delayed the service I have been awaiting which is ordering my car emblem. I was originally told I would receive a call once it came in. But Melody transferred the case to another CarMax for whatever reason without communicating with me. Had I not called,, I’d still be waiting unaware of her actions. Nonetheless , I was very unsatisfied with her communication and attitude during the call. As a customer, I should not have to assume I know or read the mind of someone handling my case at the dealership.

The varying and STRONG opinions about buying an EV were disconcerting. Kayla made it much better than the other two guys I spoke with at the Oceanside location. Do NOT lose Kayla!

Larry in Oceanside was kind and helpful and responded well to communication while I searched for the right car to suit my needs. There was no pressure put upon me to purchase. I appreciate the time he took to help me.

Carmax in oceanside and in general are hands down superior to carvana. They are honest and upfront about the entire process when in Carvana are a bunch of dealership type criminals.

Excellent service, very responsive with concerns and questions. Brennen was an. outstanding sales associate , he addressed our needs quickly and professionally but was still personably enough to insure we were relaxed.
