Advertised Price vs. Reality — Lost a Customer Over $500 Bait & Switch Pricing I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with this dealership. The vehicle was advertised for $30,999. I called to discuss purchasing it and asked for their best price, including delivery. However, the bill of sale the dealership prepared showed a selling price that was $500 higher than the advertised price, on top of the additional dealer fees. Just FYI, the extra dealer fees are a $799 cct transfer (mandatory low Jack system that they will not remove the price of, even if you don’t want it installed), A $699 screen defender for your touchscreen, $999 doc fee and “non tax fee” of $113 (whatever that is). I spoke with the salesperson, which was ultimately escalated to the sales manager, who told me he had also spoken with the general manager. Despite My attempts to negotiate the price back down to where it should have been to begin with, they refused to honor the original advertised price or even work with me to resolve the $500 difference. Had they honored their advertised price, we would have had a deal. Lastly, I ended up spending 30 minutes on a Sunday going back and forth with the salesperson, who explained that their Facebook page simply wasn’t updated as quickly as their website to reflect changes in vehicle pricing. The conversation then turned into an argument about why their higher price was supposedly the correct price, and ultimately, That I was somehow wrong here about their no haggle pricing policy. It’s simple. I wouldn’t have to haggle if you would simply stand behind your advertised price. We would’ve had a deal. If your advertised price is outdated, that’s your responsibility to correct—not the customer’s responsibility to absorb the difference. A customer should be able to trust the price a dealership advertises, especially when that customer takes the time to call and seriously attempts to make a purchase. What makes this even more frustrating is that we weren’t miles apart on price. We were $500 apart because the dealership wouldn’t honor the price it had advertised! This wasn’t a matter of negotiating thousands of dollars off the vehicle. It was about standing behind the price they used to attract a potential buyer. They had it advertised at their original price and we’re still able to make money on it. Ultimately, the dealership chose to lose a sale, lose a customer and receive a negative review over $500 rather than honor its advertised price and make a deal. I guess this says a lot about how reputable this dealership is. Especially not reputable to argue with your customer and try to make it their fault. I wish there was a way to post my screenshots here to show you what I’m saying is true. Maybe on some of the other review sites. I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere. I hope management considers whether winning an argument over $500 is really worth losing a customer and earning a negative review. Especially when all they had to do was stand behind their advertised price which was $500 different. Sad.

They make agreements during the sale and make changes on the documents during the financial process. Be sure to check your agreement before signing. I also was signed up for Lojack for 5 years which they claimed I received a discount on, but after 1 year the service was disconnected. The company has shady business practices. Beware!

Steer clear of this place. I put down $5,000 to hold a vehicle for a week while they got it ready to be sold. During this time they were supposed to replace a bad ball joint that they agreed to replace as it was my only request after looking at the vehicle briefly at a different location then their sales lot. They told me that they did replace it but they did NOT. Also during this time they kept the vehicle up on their website as for sale and also increased the price. They broke our contract by changing the price of the vehicle after I put a $5,000 deposit down to keep the vehicle at that sales price and from being sold to someone else. The price when I put down the deposit was $31,495 and they charged me $32,194. Somehow I missed it because they never put the actual price of the vehicle anywhere down on the sales contract, only with taxes and all the fees. But the price it was supposed to be purchased for was put on the warranty contract. Then they tried selling me a warranty on the vehicle which started at an extra $80 a month and after rejecting they decreasing increase in monthly payments until it was brought down to $10 more a month for the SAME EXACT WARRANTY POLICY, which I foolishly gave in on. They only gave me the first page of that warranty policy, page 1 of 15. Which the finance manager said was only $1,000, actually cost $2,500 .To top it off I was told they needed to do an alignment amongst other things during the week they needed to get it ready for sale, well they left one of the tie rod ends loose which could have ended in a deadly accident because that is what keeps your steering wheel in control of the wheels. Thankfully I caught it before I lost control of the vehicle while driving on the road. They also have a mandatory $799 LoJack charge which comes with only 1 year of service and could be bought for the same price from LoJack with a 5 year service. It was my first time buying a vehicle at a dealership so it was my mistake for not catching their sneaky price increases while he rushed me through everything and them breaking our contract when I put the $5,000 deposit down, which is an abnormally high deposit for securing the purchase. I learned alot from my first dealership car purchase from this place and it is true what everyone says about car dealerships, they are lowest of the low human beings and will try to F*** you at every turn. Please steer clear and speed as far away as you can get from this place as I hope no one else has to experience what I went through.

Thank you for your review. While we respect every customer's right to share their experience, there are several inaccuracies in your account that need to be addressed. First, your deposit was accepted to secure the vehicle while it completed our reconditioning process. At no point was the vehicle sold to another customer, and we honored our commitment to hold it for you. Like many dealerships, vehicles may remain visible online until a transaction is fully completed and funded. Regarding the vehicle price, the selling price, taxes, fees, optional products, and total amount financed were all disclosed and reviewed with you prior to signing. The dealership cannot arbitrarily change the price of a vehicle after contracts have been executed, and every figure included in your purchase was documented in the paperwork you reviewed and signed. As for the warranty, it was entirely optional. Multiple coverage options were presented, as is standard practice in the automotive industry, and you ultimately selected the coverage that best fit your budget and needs. No warranty was added without your authorization, and all optional products were clearly disclosed before completion of the transaction. Your claim regarding the vehicle's suspension and steering components is particularly concerning. We take safety issues very seriously. Prior to delivery, the vehicle underwent inspection and service. However, despite your allegations of a potentially dangerous condition, you never returned the vehicle to our facility to allow our technicians to inspect or verify your concerns. We cannot confirm claims that we were never given the opportunity to investigate. Regarding our theft recovery product, it is not simply a LoJack subscription. It is a dealer-installed theft recovery and protection product that is disclosed prior to purchase and included in the transaction documents. As with every aspect of the purchase, you had the opportunity to review these disclosures before signing. We are disappointed by the personal attacks and derogatory comments directed toward our staff. Throughout the transaction, our team worked to accommodate your requests, answer your questions, and complete the sale professionally. While we understand that not every customer will be satisfied, we believe the facts and signed documentation speak for themselves. We wish you the best with your vehicle moving forward.

Hi Courtney! It's fantastic to know Liz provided you with a helpful and informative experience at Dream Work Automotive. Hearing your satisfaction validates our efforts. Safe travels in your car!
Post purchase this has been a nightmare days after purchasing the car I took my vehicle to Acura to have recall work done, upon further inspection the timing belt needed to be replaced, ($2000) the car had a leaking front strut that needed to be replaced, ($1500) and basic maintenance had not been taken care of. Transmission fluid was black ($400) pcv valve needed replacing, ($70) the rear differential fluid had not been changed, another $200, the transfer case needed servicing all in all I’m looking at over $4000 worth of repairs/overdue maintenance . I immediately contacted the dealership whom have been borderline non responsive offering no kind of help or remedy. They were late paying off the vehicle I traded in so much so that my previous financing company were calling me about late payments, I had to involve the nc state highway patrol to get that fixed, in I felt helpless and contacted the attorney generals office for help, upon which I also received no kind of help or solution from dreamwork automotive. I would highly advise shopping elsewhere for your used vehicle. Throughout the test drive my salesperson mentioned the car had been well taken care of in house and that it was a good vehicle, repeatedly saying someone was coming in the morning to buy the car, when I asked about the timing belt he said: Acura and Honda typically don’t need to replace the timing belt until around 200k miles, the mechanic at Acura said 90k miles or 5 years whatever comes first, go figure I was at 89k miles at the time of the sale. They often respond by saying: Too bad the vehicle was sold as-is, should've had it inspected. God forbid you trust a business to be professional, or at least try to work with me in fixing the issues, im very reasonable but the total lack of care or willingness to do the right thing is shocking. STEER CLEAR

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify several points, as the situation is not being accurately represented. First, all customers are free to leave honest reviews at their discretion. While our team does value feedback, reviews are never required or tied to any obligation. Regarding the vehicle, it was sold as-is and was fully available for inspection and test driving prior to purchase. We always encourage customers to complete a third-party inspection before finalizing a transaction, especially on pre-owned vehicles. Maintenance items such as fluids, belts, and wear-and-tear components are standard ownership responsibilities and can vary based on driving habits and manufacturer recommendations. At the time of sale, there were no known issues that would have prevented the vehicle from operating as intended. Opinions provided by third-party service departments after purchase are not uncommon and do not indicate that the vehicle was misrepresented. In reference to your trade payoff, while there was a delay, the balance was paid in full. Processing timelines can vary between financial institutions, but this was resolved. We take pride in assisting customers across all credit situations and work hard to structure approvals that many other dealerships cannot. However, we are also transparent about the as-is nature of our vehicles and the importance of due diligence prior to purchase. We regret that you feel this way, but we stand by the integrity of our process and remain available should you wish to discuss this matter further.
Great experience. Joe was very professional and took his time to help me get in the suv that I wanted. Thanks Joe for going the extra mile for me. I love my truck. I would definitely recommend Joe to my peers.

Do not go here or to Anton. I was made to believe I was family while there but as soon as I bought a vehicle I was nothing. The floor mats that were in the vehicle when I made the purchase was removed and not put back for "detailing" while paperwork was being finalized. When I called the first time Anton said he would find them and ship them. 2 weeks later no floor mats. I called again, he said he found them and was looking at them but forgot to ship them but would do it that day. Called a 3rd time said he already shipped them but couldn't find the tracking number. Called 4,5,6,7,8,9 times again. He never shipped them. Manager said he would find out what was going and would call me back. Never called me back. Was told they found them and shipped them asked for a tracking number, told they would send it in a message. They didn't. Called again for tracking number and got a picture of a box. Finally received 15.00 floor mats. They are not the floor mats that was in the car. I have pictures to prove it. The heat doesn't work in the car, side mirrors don't move, rear windshield wiper doesn't even go with the car its too big and has scraped the hatch, wiper fuild cap is completely missing among other things. I repeat do not go here. I have included pictures of the grey mats that went with the car vs the cheap ones they sent me that are black.

Crystal, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We have had multiple conversations regarding the floor mats, which were not originally designed for this vehicle. Even after explaining this, we were happy to send mats per your request. Regarding the other concerns mentioned, these were not brought to our attention during your visit, when the vehicle was inspected and test-driven in person. Our team strives to provide clear communication and a positive experience for every customer, and your feedback is appreciated as it helps us continue to improve. We wish you the best in your automotive journey. Thank you.
