I’m in my 64 and a retired firefighter.

I’m in my 64 and a retired firefighter. I’ve dealt with difficult situations my whole life. Worst experience I’ve ever had It started with a mix up on whether the car was certified. The first 2 people thought it was and the third said no. I already left a 2000$ deposit. After not being able to come to an agreement the general sales manager asked me to split 1800$ it was going to cost. I said no. He said they will cover the cost because of the mix up. Satisfied. The next day was worse. The sales manager was not there. The general manager who made a point of saying he was in charge of the dealership. He had an attitude as soon as I said who I was. He knew of the deal from the night before. My car was supposed to be ready at 100. He said they were having a problem registering it because I didn’t tell them my car was totaled. I did tell the first salesman because he asked me what brought me in today I told him and he said I hope everyone’s ok. I said it was parked and hit by construction equipment. Nice thing to say. It took me 3 hours to get the insurance company to give him what he wanted. When I got the adjuster on the phone I had it on speaker phone so we could both hear it. He said he needed a certain paperwork to prove it was totaled. She said she had no idea what that was. She said she had been in this business for 27 years. He was rude to her. He asked her where she was physically. She said Maine and he said never mind I contacted that adjuster later and apologized for how he treated her. I said to him how do you stay in business with the way you treat people. Especially me. I’m going to say other things that happened. Put my license plates on wrong. I reminded him that he said he was filling up my tank before I left. He said he never said that. Eventually he gave the gas card to one of the guys to fill it up. He said I should go with him because it’s tricky. Nothing tricky. Exactly how every other one. That was another insult. The general manager that I’m talking about is Rusty Clifford. MetroWest Hyundai. On my way home I stopped at a Kia dealer right down the street from my house and he did both inspections one half hour after it was closed. I said to him I wish I bought my car down. I told him a couple of things that happened and he couldn’t believe. This isn’t even everything. I hope this isn’t a sign of the luck I’ll have with my car. I really don’t know how he stays in business.

Small dealership with low inventory.

Small dealership with low inventory. Just came back from the dealership. I hoped my wife and I could test drive a Ionic 5 but they only had two that we could see. They only had enough room for two cars in the showroom. One Ionic was sold and one Genesis. All the salespeople were busy, so we could not test any without what seemed like would be a long wait. They had more Genesis cars if that is what you are looking for. The overall feel of the place was negative and not friendly.

My girlfriend just called MetroWest Hyundai (Framingham, MA) about a listing and the sales agent whom we were connected with (a female agent who was on the shift around 12 noon on Sunday Aug 24) was super uncooperative, rude, and unskilled. She slammed the phone during the middle of the conversation while we were making our queries. Definitely not giving my money to these people. And definitely don't recommend this kind of unprofessional, aggressive sales behavior.

Very disappointed in this dealership and its service

Very disappointed in this dealership and its service center. I purchased a new Hyundai Ionic 5 in May 2023 and have fewer than 10,000 miles on the car. I was told in early May that I should have the tires rotated (covered under my service warranty). After the rotation, my car started shaking at speeds over 60 mph. I thought the balancing needed to be adjusted and brought the car back in. Instead, I was told that the tires were defective. The inner part of the Michelin tires (on the car when I purchased it) had disengaged from the tire itself and was creating the noise and shaking. The inner part was there to help distribute the added weight of the electric battery. Michelin agreed to give me new tires (although my service technician, William Kramer, insisted that they might not). But the dealership charged me $120 to put the tires on, charging me for fixing a problem created by them . When I complained I was told that someone had to pay the technician for putting the tires on. I believe the appropriate payer should have been the dealer. Metrowest Hyundai sold me a car with defective tires.

Consumer response

The number on this message is the general number for Metrowest Hyundai. When I call, I have no information about whom I should ask to talk with. This is not a helpful response from the dealer.

This has been one of the most frustrating dealership

This has been one of the most frustrating dealership experiences I’ve ever had. The level of disorganization, poor communication, and outright incompetence I’ve encountered at this Hyundai dealership is beyond unacceptable. Promises made during the sales process were either not honored or walked back later. Calls and texts routinely go unanswered, and when someone does respond, it’s usually with contradictory or inaccurate information. Every step has felt like a battle — not just to get what was agreed upon, but to get any basic follow-up at all. At this point, I'm actively exploring legal options. That's how far beyond the line this experience has gone. If you're considering buying a car here: don't. There are plenty of other dealerships that will actually value your business and treat you with the respect and transparency you deserve.

I went in because of a non-working radio and screen.

I went in because of a non-working radio and screen. The service rep Bill was very helpful. He wasn’t sure how long the diagnostics would take but offered me a Lyft back to my house and back if I didn’t want to wait. I decided to wait a couple of hours first, at which time the problem was fixed. Turns out it was a rare but easy to address issue with a reset which he showed me how to do. He also fixed another minor tech issue that was out of synch. All in all, very efficient and professional service.

Had the misfortune to deal with Roy (salesperson) and Sinan (manager). Roy touts that he values “total transparency” and gives his cell phone and claims to be responsive. Neither are true. Never picks up phone, takes days to reply and then tried to get me in for a deal on car that didn’t exist, hence his refusal to tell me the VIN #, classic bait and switch. Absolutely refuses to discuss any specific numbers unless you come in and agree to a deal. Sinan is the epitome of a sleazy car salesman, super pushy, rude, tries to pressure you to sign, lies about the numbers. For example we agreed on adjusted capex, residual, money factor which with the months of a lease is all you need to get monthly payments. He then invented some blown up monthly payment and when I did the calculation for him, he was forced to admit his numbers didn’t add up. My friend had a similar experience with him. Stay far away from these guys…

I wish I had read the reviews before walking into this

I wish I had read the reviews before walking into this dealership. Our salesman Roy was pleasant and worked with us on price but as soon as they took our money the chaos began. They could not get the paperwork correct and we still have not taken delivery of the car we have been paying insurance and charged lease fees for. The sales manager - Sanan (?) - was awful. He was condescending, rude and the opposite of transparent. I got the distinct impression he does not like dealing with women. His solution to not getting us our car before leaving town was to give us a refund for the two weeks we would not have the vehicle. How about just giving us the vehicle we paid a deposit on for the full lease term? It was in their lot. AVOID THIS SALES DEPARTMENT!!!

They called me yesterday to let me know that my car

They called me yesterday to let me know that my car repair was complete and that there was an additional $1299 charge, after the almost 15k service that's already paid for. I questioned the additional charge and contacted my insurance company. Today, less than 24 hours after their first call, Beatriz called me threatening to call the police on me if I didn't return the loaner by the end of the day today, screaming at me and being very very rude. Everyone I've been dealing with since January, when I started all this process, was very deceitful and unprofessional: Bill, Brian and Beatriz. But yeah, as Brian told me today, "why did you came here, then? You should have taken your car somewhere else", so that's my advice for you too!
