I brought my vehicle in for a rear subframe recall and trusted that the work would be completed safely and according to manufacturer specifications. Unfortunately, after the repair was completed, I discovered multiple bolts and nuts were only hand-tightened and had not been torqued to the required specifications. Considering this involves critical suspension and subframe components, this was a serious safety concern. Because I no longer had confidence in the quality of the work performed, I chose to take the vehicle to another shop and pay to have the repair inspected and corrected properly rather than return it to the facility that performed the original work. Mistakes happen, but leaving safety-related components loose after a recall repair is unacceptable. A basic quality-control inspection should have caught this before the vehicle was released. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves its workmanship and inspection process before someone gets hurt.
