After visiting other dealerships with sales people who looked bored and unambitious it was great to see excited and helpful sales people! Alma went the extra mile to see that I was happy, and satisfied. She even got me more for my trade in then anyone in Frederick!

Jennifer Vance was a great knowledgeable car sales person. She honored the price quoted from the Shockley Internet listing. Jennifer was juggling 3 customers that evening but was professional in completing the deal. I was able to complete the financing that night. Wonderful experience!

Horrible sales games.
My wife and I had been repeat customers of Shockley Honda, buying new Honda Fits in 2008 and 2012. We were ready to put down a deposit on a new 2015 Honda Fit in my wife's selected hard-to-find color when the deal broke down. Shockley Honda advertises a "dealer match" policy, where they promise to match or exceed (by "up to $1,000") a written quote from another car dealer. We had a quote in hand, but the salesperson came back to us with the MSRP. I told her a week in advance that we expected them to beat that price, so this was not a surprise. When I reminded her about the price match policy, she came back with the new car sales manager, Mr. Chapin Painter. He stated that the factory making the Honda Fits was producing another car until September, so there were few left in my wife's color, and none of those were available in 4 local states, so they were not going to follow their own price match policy. We could buy it for MSRP, with no negotiation possible. There was a $1,700 price difference between Shockley and two other dealers. (Note that color is a $0 option.) There was no attempt on the part of Shockley Honda's people to negotiate with me, nor offer a vehicle with a different color. Our feeling was the sales manager had an "I've got the upper hand" attitude. The fact that we were repeat customers did not seem to matter. In fact, the sales manager misrepresented the color availability. Another dealer in Maryland had my wife's top color choice, same as Shockley, and actually tried to negotiate ($1,000 less than Shockley) but they said they were sorry they could not match the price of our internet quote. (I did not even get an "I'm sorry" from the Shockley sales manager, just a bald statement that he simply would not work with us on the price.) My wife and I decided that we would go to a dealer 1.5 hours drive away rather than buy locally. I did e-mail Vice President Marisa Shockley of Shockley Honda telling her about my unhappy experience, but never got a reply. It has been a week since our visit. On two days this week, I got called by two different salespeople asking if I wanted to come back to get a car. I told the first that we had bought at another dealership, and the reply was a noncommittal "Oh, okay." I told the second salesperson that we not only had bought elsewhere, but that Shockley had probably lost a customer. I had to say _why_ I would not be returning before I got an "I'm sorry to hear that" i.e. any sort of response other than "okay". Did these people not even understand or care they lost customers due to a horrible shopping experience, not just a single sale? This is why I am writing this review. It may seem like I am a very hard case negotiator, but I did not set the process for car sales, the dealers did. The people at Shockley made no attempt to negotiate or follow their own written policy when they saw an opportunity to take advantage of a customer- now a former customer. They have not only lost me and my wife, but also my son (who just started driving) and any friends whom I can convince to stay away from Shockley Honda. We love the newly re-designed Honda Fit, just not the salesmanship.

Perfect Experience
Jaimin was an exceptionally good sales men. He was very helpful negotiating with me over the phone, he even went out of his way to help us close the deal. I will recommend him for any one who is interested to purchase a good car with great deal. The dealership is significantly large, clean and welcoming.
