Buyer Beware!!!!! I purchased my Mazda from this location in 2024. I have never owned a Mazda before and I will NEVER buy one again!! Shortly after my purchase the management changed and since then the customer service has gone WAY down hill! Liam the service manager has a terrible attitude towards his customers and is not helpful at all! He promised me a call back in one week on a warranty issue and never returned my call so I reached out to his staff who promised me my issue was able to be covered under warranty via an e-mail and text message. After making an appointment, dropping off my car and waiting for 2 hours I was told it was not covered under warranty and Liam said I should have know that and his employee told me the wrong information after it have been provided to me in writing. I even spent months trying to work it out with Mazda Customer Service and they were no help because they stated it would be up to the dealership to provide a "goodwill" gesture and make it right and they were not willing to do that even though their employee made a mistake!! If you own a Mazda take it to Kennesaw Mazda, they know how to take care of an appreciate their customers!!

From the moment we walked in the showroom until the last handshake was done, we were treated like welcome guests and given the utmost courtesy. We dealt with Asani and Christine, and they were professional in every way. This may have been the fastest car buying experience I've ever had, which was great! This dealership was no pressure, no gimmicks, and was fully competent to handle our buy. We appreciated the hospitality and the experience that was so evident. We would definitely buy there again!

Just had another great experience with the Ocean Mazda Roswell Service Department, 30k Miles Service for my 2023 Mazda CX30. My Service Advisor, Jerrod, was great to work with and the Service Technicians did all the checks and work in less than an hour, great going team!

I purchased a used vehicle for my daughter who lives out of state in December. I specifically stated that all the paperwork needed to be written to enable her to get a tag issued in her state (not mine). I was repeatedly told by the finance manager (T.E.) "no problem, no problem at all." Fast forward several weeks and I was notified by the titling company that there was a problem issuing the title. The paperwork was written in such a way that the vehicle could not be titled and no tag could be issued in my state OR hers. The entire deal had to be redone which took over a month (thank you for the multiple dings to my credit). The worst part was the gaslighting by the employees; they told me that I asked them to write up the paperwork that way and failed to admit they messed up. The failures and incompetencies on their part are too numerous to list. I will never do business with or recommend this dealership to others. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere when purchasing a vehicle and stay FAR away from Ocean Mazda, Roswell.

Dealer response

Thank you for sharing your reviews and allowing us to jump in and help resolve your concerns. Unfortunately, as we discussed your phrasing when you spoke to customer care as well as on the recorded calls led to what was honest misunderstandings regarding what you were expecting and what we believed you were requesting. One word truly can change the meaning of a statement. Using phrases like "In my name" or "with just me on the loan" made the finance manager believe you made a decision on how you wanted it titled not realizing you were asking if you could do it all in your name while still titling it in her name out of state. There was a lot of work on your end to get this resolved and ours as well so hopefully you accept that it was not an intent to do it wrong. As much as we would love for every experience to be perfect we don't get it right everytime. Hopefully our valant attempts to and our attention to rectifying it when we don't goes a long way. The biggest thing we hope the team takes away from this experience is to ask 'one more question'. Helps in understanding a clients needs and clarifying their expectations. Even though your daughter has the car out of state we hope niether of you will hesitate to reach out to us if we can ever assist you again.

Purchased my first Mazda at Ocean's Mazda of Roswell. The team was extremely professional and courteous. I did a test drive one weekend and purchased my vehicle a little over a week later. No pressure from them or over communication. The Finance Manager was also very friendly and accomodating. I will definitely be coming back for service of my vehicle as well as future purchases. Thank you!

My first experience with the Service Dept at Ocean Mazda was great, due to my Service Advisor Marcelino Rosario. He was very knowledgeable, very professional, good to chit-chat with and has a great attention to detail. I did not have the opportunity to meet and talk about my car with any of the Service Technicians, but if they are half as good as Marcelino, then I am in good hands indeed.

Dates of no response: I have decided to publish this review because of the lack of knowledge and respect that Ocean Mazda of Roswell has shown time and time again. I emailed owner Aaron Gillison on January 1 and still haven’t heard back. It is January 9. I messaged the Mazda USA contact center and I received a quick response, but when I asked them to contact the Roswell dealership, they went dark. I have not heard back from Mazda USA since January 5. Mind you, the Ocean Roswell Mazda Parts Department is open everyday except for Sunday. Backstory for vehicle issue: I am having an issue with my key fob. It’s losing charge quickly and not connecting properly to the car. I have had difficulties with my key fob since March 2025. I’ve mentioned my key fob issues to the Ocean Mazda Roswell team 5 times; and, each time they either said nothing’s wrong or they ended up giving me a new battery. The fifth time they finally brought up the idea of replacing the entire key. I proceeded and they replaced it in June 2025. In December 2025, I started to experience the same key fob issues again. That’s less than 6 months of having the new key that I’m experiencing the same issues. Before scheduling another appointment with Ocean Mazda Roswell, I reached out to Jim Ellis Mazda Marietta to get a second opinion. Marietta confirmed more than once that it was not normal for a key fob to fail in less than 6 months. I scheduled another appointment with Ocean Mazda Roswell as I didn’t want to pay even more at a different dealership. I scheduled my appointment with Roswell for December 19. The team issue: Upon arriving at my December appointment, I initially spoke to Nicholas Carrara. While he was nice, he did not seem to understand the gist of my ongoing key fob issue. I asked to see someone else in Parts. Nic returned with Rick Batey and Jimmy Clark. During this time all three parties didn’t seem to take my ongoing key fob issues seriously. Their solution was a quick fix; another battery. I pleaded with them more than once to look at my car and test my key battery. When my concerns were not taken seriously, I raised my voice. It should have never escalated to that point; I still don’t understand why I had to raise my voice at three grown men just to be taken seriously and have my car inspected. After Rick Batey finally agreed to test the battery with a multi meter; it showed 3.2%, which is a normal voltage rating. I later double-checked this with Nic via phone call. Jimmy stated he would check my vehicle. I understand that it can get busy so I asked Jimmy if I should make another appointment. Jimmy reassured me that I could keep my originally scheduled appointment. I asked him what the turn around time was and he said it wouldn’t take too long. I waited in the dealership from 10:30a to 3:20p (almost 5 hours). The almost 5 hour result: At 3:20p Nic came to me in-person to let me know that my car was ready and there was only a problem with the key fob battery. He confirmed that he was the only one to check my car. He stated that he only replaced the key fob battery. This confirmed that none of my concerns were addressed by the Ocean Mazda Roswell team. While Jimmy stated that he would check my vehicle, Nic was the only one to inspect my vehicle and communicate with me during the almost 5 hour appointment. Still no answer: On December 27, just nine days after the key battery was replaced, an alert came up on my car that my key fob battery was low. See attached picture. I still have trouble unlocking and locking the car even when I am close to the vehicle. I have even gotten a ‘no key detected’ alert while my car was running and ready to put in drive. This is putting the driver and passengers at risk. Outcome: I’d love to get this issue fixed, but currently I feel like Ocean Mazda Roswell’s lack of response and care for my concerns and repeated trips shall force me to go to another dealership- causing me to pay for more than what's necessary.

Dealer response

Thank you very much for reaching out. This is Aaron and while I am not the owner I wish I could have spoken to you prior to your experience escalating to this level. I can only assume the contact information you used for me was incorrect. Now that I am involved I would love to look further into this for you. I do not see the attached picture or direct contact information. Nicolas Carerra is off today so I would request you reach out to me directly for expiedency sake. You can respond to me here or call me at (770) 993-6999. I hope to hear from you soon and be able to help you through an issue that is clearly frustrating and taking up a lot of your time and energy. Our goal is to make your ownership experience as pleasurable as possible and I hope I can assist in that endeavor.

I contacted Ocean Mazda about purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned 2023 CX-5 and DeAnthony was very helpful in getting me a good offer. When my wife and I arrived at the dealership to view the car, we noticed some damage and asked to see a different one. This one was more expensive and above our budget. DeAnthony was unavailable that day and so we left the dealership and came home somewhat disappointed. DeAnthony called me the next day and apologized for being unavailable. He told me that he wanted to earn our business and was going to do everything in his power to offer us a great deal on the second car we looked at. Later that evening, he delivered. We got a great car for a great price, and he even put a bow on it for my wife. If I'm ever in the market for another Mazda, my first call is going to be to DeAnthony.

My experience buying a Certified Pre-Owned 2020 CX-5 from Ocean Mazda turned out to be very positive overall. A couple of issues I had took a few days to sort out (turns out they were misunderstanding on my part), but the team handled everything professionally and got it all resolved smoothly. In the end, I drove away with exactly the car I wanted at a fair and competitive price. I’m happy to recommend Ocean Mazda Roswell—whether you’re looking for a new Mazda or a quality used vehicle, they have the best inventory in the area and deliver solid, reliable service. Glad I chose them!
