BUYER BEWARE — READ THIS BEFORE BUYING A CAR HERE. My experience with Excel Motors was an absolute nightmare. My 2010 Nissan Xterra broke down ONE HOUR after purchase. I was told the heater-core issue was minor, but the vehicle was overheating and leaking coolant. After waiting 2–3 weeks for their mechanic, Justin, to work on it, the same problem returned within two weeks. I eventually replaced the heater core MYSELF, spending an entire weekend removing the dashboard because the issue hadn’t been properly resolved. What made things worse was what I learned during this experience. Justin told me they buy vehicles from auctions and use junkyard parts. Buying auction vehicles isn’t inherently wrong, but combined with my experience, it raised serious concerns for me about the quality of the repairs and what customers are getting. I have recordings of my interactions with the dealership. When I needed help after the sale, getting the situation resolved was an uphill battle. I felt abandoned with a major mechanical problem on a vehicle I’d just purchased. There’s also a concerning issue with transparency: I was told the owner’s name was Tony, but I later understood the owner’s name to be Marshall Quinton. That conflicting information further damaged my trust in this business. Honestly, my experience felt more like dealing with a junkyard than a dependable used-car dealership. A cheap price means nothing when you’re left with a broken vehicle, questionable repairs, and an expensive repair project of your own. MY ADVICE: GET AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO INSPECT EVERYTHING BEFORE BUYING HERE. Ask about the vehicle’s history, inspect the parts and repair work, and get every promise in writing. Don’t take anyone’s word that a serious mechanical issue is “minor.” I’m sharing my experience because I don’t want other honest buyers going through the same thing. Do your research, protect your money, and be cautious. A cheap car can become an expensive mistake. Mine did. Based on my experience, I would never buy another vehicle here.
