I have a 2018 CRV I bought cash about 6 months ago.

I have a 2018 CRV I bought cash about 6 months ago. I try to do as much as my own work on it as far as maintenance goes. I was up there about a month ago and bought trans and rear dif fluid A long with the crush washers. Life is good. About a week later I wanted to dump my trans fluid one more time. On my past visit I forgot to get extra crush washers. So I ran up and grabbed some more. I got 3 more crush washers and it came to 18 something I believe give or take. When I got home I was thinking that is alot for 3 crush washers. So I cross referenced it with my receipt from the first time and the first time I was charged a dollar something for each one and the second time I was charged 5 something each. Not the end of the world and they are still a great dealership but how does this happen. Maybe it's because Im covered in tattoos and look like I'm broke and didn't belong there but I'm very well off. That obviously just an assumption but like I said still a great dealership. I hold no grudges.

Hi Donald, thank you for the feedback. Weโ€™re glad you still hold us in high regard, and we certainly appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. According to the invoice on your initial visit in September 2025, the crush washers were listed at $6.67 and $1.39 a piece respectively, and we provided a 15% discount on each part (including the transmission and rear differential fluids). The cost of the washers on this first invoice totaled to $12.52. Exactly two weeks later in October 2025, for your follow-up visit, the invoice reads as each washer being listed at $1.67 and $1.42 respectively, and we provided a 10% discount on them. This brought the total of the washers on the second invoice to $2.78. You mentioned three washers, however, and the second invoice only lists a quantity of two. We found another invoice from the same visit for a 10mm gasket, which was listed for $6.35. We provided a 20% discount on the gasket to bring its total to $5.08. The costs of the washers, gasket, and another bottle of transmission fluid for the second visit came to a total of $20.78 before tax. Parts pricing is largely dictated by corporate Honda and updated on a monthly basis, so we are unable to determine whether the cost of a specific part will increase or decrease. In this instance, the price of crush washers actually went down, so you saved $9.74 on them (or $4.66 if you include the gasket) during your second visit compared to your first. That said, the discounts we provided to you on both visits were simply our way of thanking you for being a preferred customer. Not only do we strive to be honest and transparent with all of our customers, but we have a strict policy against any form of discrimination or bias.
